Yeah, I was using transhexlation to modify the games text to match the shops, enemies, or whatever I was doing. I SOMEHOW screwed up an event in-game, without touching the event data.

Here is what Transhexlation is showing on it's editor:



Now, I am confused. I must have replaced some important dot thingy that tells the event to start running beyond Exor's mouth moving.

Here is one piece of dialouge that wasn't inserted by me:



...Other than horrible grammar, "the" is mixed in with "Well," while transhexlation showing ".Well,"

Any help?

I dont know if this has to do with anything, I know nothing of the hard way of rom hacking, but here goes.

I noticed two differences just skimming through the pics. The first, on line 002377B0, the modified scripts first number is 48, but the originals says 481.

The second, on line 00237800, there is a number sign in the right box on the original script , but none in yours.

Sorry if this doesnt help, but I just wanted to try and make myself at least look useful.


1: I think that was an error made by me when I copied the images onto the picture.

2: That is an ending to a quotation mark.

I throw the arrow in a fedEx Logo at Komaru, along with the truck that the arrow is on.

Anyone else noticed that? It's nothing new....

Hey.

I'm wondering how NPC's direct and show dialouge values, the Help file my copy came with it didn't re-direct to the action/battle scripts.

This might be the only thing I've not been able to do.

I think I have battle scripts down pretty well, I can help with any enemy script creation, or try at least.

I think a full community hack would do this game some good. Putting that author stamp in will be a large copy/paste session though... heh heh.

...I''m having trouble being able to engage battle with formations 256+. It keeps reverting them back to #255. It isn't hexicdecimal based, because I tried putting in "D" and that didn't work...

Any help?

Alright, my game's final Boss is Culex, and I'm trying to use his room that never seemed to be used in the game, 15F. But the only problem is, it seems that none of the tile boundaries seem to work there, and I've been there, they don't interact with mario.. I know there is supposed to be just one event, which I'm considering to using to make Mario walk all the way to CUlex and battle him at the start, but I don't know. Any help Omega? His room seems to be something special.
