I figure, since there's a slight delay with the racoon tail twirl (at least I'm pretty sure there is),

Retro, HD is overrated and it sucks, I dont see anything "cool" about HD, N64 gfx is enough for me, as long gameplay and controls are good

Game maker is okay, but sometimes its annoying, for example:

-its slow as fuck when file is over 10mb(mostly when saving, sometimes when room is "too" large)
-only supports mp3,wav and midi formats, have to use DLL's to get mod/xm/s3m/ogg etc support
-sometimes file gets corrupted without any reasons, and you CANT back-up/save any of you rooms/objects etc(from "corrupted" file, my game got corrupted like ten time in row when I tryed to add more music), at last gm has build-in backup system, but its very limited(it just backups you game when you save your game)
-unexpect error(s)
-you only can put titles/objects in room one by one, like you cant fill area with titles for example, as well you also ONLY can remove titles/objects one by one, boring as shit(well you can remove ALL, but still)
-GML is annying to learn
-3D is very limited, so making 3d game with gamemaker is pretty much waste of time
-6.1 version dont like vista/seven, and 7.0 dont like 98se
-7.0 dont have anything new, and 8.0 too(whenever it comes)

but after all its only "easy" way to make own games, but at most tile, I enjoy more hacking roms that making game with game-maker

superstar sega was IMO too easy and short, PiT was terrible, normal enemies had too much hp, and it was linear

At this moment Im playing BIS, so-far its better than SS and PiT

Very nice, but is this glith? Open rom, and overworld editor, switch to level editor and open another rom, and overwold editor dosent reload overworld(still hows "wrong" overworld), until you press reload button at overworld editors toolbar/icon thing(whatever its called), its kinda annoying sometimes.

Also sometimes(acually always) overworlds editor dosent close if you close level-editors window first

Holy shit, Boing... That's one hell of a level. How much practice did you need to do that in one shot? Or did you sneakily edit any deaths out to make it look like a flawless run?

It looks more TA/S to me

I don't know if I just don' t play enough NES contra but I got absolutely ruined in the in door stage. Too many bullets flying and I can't really stand up without instantly getting killed in the later stages of it..buuut if the author says it's 'unfair' then that's my excuse for sucking at it.

I regularly beat contra III on hard without losing lives, that's my favourite side scrolling shooter outside of metal slug series. Here it feels like you just have to kill stuff in invincibility time in some sort of suicide rush attack.

Protip: you can shoot high while ducking. Hold Up on Controller 2 while Controller 1 is ducking.
