Why don't we make a thread like a hack-wishlist where people can offer bouties for certain hacking achievements, which should give hackers that ussually would cancel a hack an additional reason to continue. To ensure the bounties the people set there could be made a pot-like system where all people who set a bounty on the same thing can put money in and which is being looked after by a trustworthy person. This trustworthy person, who took care of the money would then have to give the bounty to the one achieving the goal. The place where the money is kept could for example be a money-bookers account, which was just created for this sole purpose. The account details would after a hacker achieved what the bounty was set out for receive the account details and thus the money in it.
Do you think its a good idea that might prevent cancellations and similiar. Discuss! |

Its not like a payment it would more be like a donation kind of like a piece of sugar to make the success even sweeter. it would also kind of act like a way to make decisions easier for a romhacker i know romhacking is fun but sometimes u cannot decide what to hack and then if you ahh on this one of my ideas there is a bounty set on lets do it . this will channel development in the right directions. |

You're making a fatal mistake and are totally misunderstanding my post. Perhaps u did not see that i wrote this would mostly apply to hacks that would otherwise be stopped or to people, who cannot decide which hack to do. Or even people who in fact want to hack but normally are too lazy to start their hacks because they do some senseless surfing all day and then the end of the day realize they achieved nothing. Sometimes people want to do stuff but for some mysterious reason don't start it. One little push in the right direction might change it though. Most people should then be happy about achieving something instead of wasting their time. If you think I am talking total bullshit I can assure you it is not since I myself suffer from the same kind of problems and I do know a lot of people who do, too. |
