I love RPGs and RTSes, particularly Starcraft. On the other hand, I can seldom stand FPSes; they seem so dull in comparison to the intensity of an RTS match or the enthralling plot of an RPG.

Also, Cooking Mama is pretty fun.

Depends. Did you remember the execution style massacre of innocent civilians (including women and children) who were handcuffed and then shot in the head in Ishaqi?

How about the mass murder of civilians in Haditha where a single marine managed to shoot two women and five children all unarmed, all innocent in the head?

Sorry, but despite living in the shadow of the Pentagon as a kid, I just can't get in the mood for "remembering 9/11" given the horrible atrocities our government as perpetrated in the name of revenge of this date.

Yes, except "our government" did not commit atrocities. "Our government" was trying to protect the people of this country, and it is abhorrent to condemn the entire government for the underhanded actions of malicious individuals who happened to be serving in the military.

Clearly we are in agreement. GreyMario should be Admin. This will surely help the community.

When have I ever been wrong?

Kironide is Chinese. Since this isn't a math related question, he's obviously incorrect.

the cardinality of the intersection between the set of all your responses and the set of all incorrect things is greater than zero

Grammar was the subject of that post, so Grammar shall be capitalized to emphasise the importance of this subject.

Math is irrelevant when your career choice doesn't even need it.

your career choice is equally superficial when it doesn't even need math

Less then you? Seriously, if you're gonna call people names, you should atleast be respectful enough to do it via PM.

I respect people enough to do it publicly cause I'm not a sneaky bitch who has to do it via PM.

So, basically, you have no legitimate response and all you can do is make a snide comment. Why don't you stop constantly shitposting all over board2 and leave before everyone hates you? Because you're doing a pretty good job of bringing that about.

I'm quite serious, Nick. In the past few weeks I have seen you make literally zero contributions to the board save for your "I'm saving the board by attacking people constantly and being rude to members!" bullshit, and KP9000 and blackhole89 have both commented that your constant aggressiveness is downright annoying. Nobody seems to actually want to directly criticize you for some reason, but the fact remains that you repeatedly enter threads for the sole purpose of making rude comments to people for practically no reason whatsoever. You're repeatedly complaining about how people take things too seriously, and then you pounce on people for the simplest thing that offends your fragile sensibilities. ("Oh no! People liking what I don't like?! Ridiculous!") You claim to have Aspergers, yet on IRC you constantly dismiss things as "[A]spergy" and make absolutely no effort to show the least bit of civility in your communications. There is a point after which "don't get offended on the Internet" becomes moot--that is, when you go from legitimate criticism to simply being an asshat. You seem to have some sort of obsession with acting passive aggressive against GreyMario, who to be quite honest contributes much more to the board than you do, mentioning him in a derogatory fashion every other line on IRC even when completely unprovoked. On the few occasions that someone who isn't in your "cool list" says anything on IRC, you practically act like it's your sole purpose in life to insult them constantly. I honestly, truly do not understand why you even keep coming to a community where you hate the active members and work towards making everyone else dislike you too, and I can legitimately say that you are quite possibly one of the worst posters on the board at the moment. I, for one, am put off far more from the aggression and derision in your posts than I ever will be from the things you claim are driving people away from the IRC--and unlike them, you certainly don't see fit to limit your activities to the channel, instead shamelessly extending them to the board.

I am working to identify deficiencies in my knowledge and in my character. I am currently drawing up a document of plans and goals for the future, where I will outline particular resolutions I plan on making as well as a course of study for the future in the hopes of self-reformation and improvement of myself on the whole.

(copied and pasted from somewhere else)

I am a top student and I have a decent SAT (>2300) and a fair assortment of extracurriculars; however, I am unsure if it would even be worth the money to apply to top-tier Ivies: in particular, Harvard, Yale, and Princeton. Given that admissions are becoming more and more arbitrary ("holistic"), I am worried that it would simply be a waste of my time and of the application fee. Would it be a good idea to give it a try anyway, or am I just wasting my time?

I have a decent application but it is not especially strong in any one regard. My test scores and grades are alright when compared to the rest of the Ivy admission pool, and I do have a summer research internship along with a tutoring/college prep company I started as extracurriculars (along with the usual: piano, various clubs, etc.) but nothing major and no awards at a national or international level (save for the unimportant CollegeBoard AP awards). Based on College Confidential results threads for those universities, it would basically be a complete gamble--there is hardly any discernible rhyme or reason to admissions these days. People similar to me have been accepted, waitlisted, and rejected. It could just be a total waste of time, especially when I admittedly do have other perfectly fine options for college.

MIT has their own separate applications and aren't on the Common Application. Caltech's deadline hasn't approached yet (so I might still apply).

I would truly hate to see this board die out. It has been a place of great memories for me, and it would be no understatement to say that the community that I ran into here and the events that occurred as a result have significantly affected the course of my life.

I will edit with more later; I am busy.
