Greetings. I'm Thanatos-Zero, the Archangel of Sins but for real my name is Christoph and I'm a german. I´m currently active as a spriter on Sprites.INC, but now lets go deeper in the story.
So where should I start to tell my life? Oh yes the childhood. I was a very active child with the ADS (AttentionDefizitSyndrom). I wasn´t able to understand everyone till to my fourth birthday, because of polyps in the area between my nose and my ears. For many years I was a victem of the society, because I was too different from others. So I´ve gone through many hardships and was abounded and abused by many people, which I've trusted and called my friends. Today I know, why I was so much different. I was born with the signs of the asperger syndrome, which shows me that I'm a half-autismn. To makes things short, I've called me Archangel of Sins because I feel for no aparent reason great guilts for things, which I haven't done. For example I call a fellow with the telefone and we have a great time while speaking, then I say to him, that he shall call back to me, if he has time to spend with me. And what happens? He don't call back and than I fell me like someone, who has done something, which cannot be forgiven. So it happens often, if don't get any feedbacks or answer or just attention by others, that I fell into deep depressions which results sometimes into Self-injury. Don't worry... I don't use knifes or sharp things in general. The only thing what I do, is to slap myself many times into my face. Also to mention is, that I'm not able to handle stress under pressure or in a situation, in which I don't know what the other wants from me. It also anticipate me many times from spriting itself. Well, Life is not fair isn't it? Anyway, since I´ve recently learned to hack colourpalettes and to some degree tiles, so I thought it would be a good Idea to join you, since you like also Rockman and of course hacks. ____________________ I was a prisoner enclosed in the void, were everything might end up just as myself. If anyone is interrested, I have created palette hacks for Rockman Zero 1 and 3, which let you play as Black Zero from Rockman X5. For those special, who want always play with him again since X8 and before.
Rockman Zero 1- Black Zero Patch Rockman Zero 3- Black Zero Patch In Zero1 he will have all changes from the beginning, but for Zero3 he will have only his purple weapons in Hard and Normal Mode. In Ultimate Mode, you can enjoy your black Zero to his fullest potencial. Greetings members of Board2. Some of you may know of this already from Romhacking. net or Sprites.INC , but I want to tell you it anyway.
I was always bothered about Zero´s appearance and abilities in his games, so I ve decided to create sprites in hope to create someday a hack of the Rockman Zero Series. But to create a hack isn´t that easy. So I have come to you, in hope you may help me by my project, since Lumine suggested that I should come here. Here now the list of things which I want to have in all Zero Games: - Airdash - Doublejump and improvement of Kuuenbu, the spining slash - The Combosystem of Zero 3 - Voices for Zero ( We will use Omega´s voice because it is possible) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIgqZuvW8_w - Zero´s appearance in the game, meaning to change every sprite and Mugshot, also the shown artwork in the game itself. - Blood - Zero can duck like in X5 and X6 (-music change) Thanks to Ryusui, a member of Romhacking.net, I can now hack colourpalettes and to some degree tiles, but I want more. Here in this thread you can see all of my work here. I have started to sprite just for this one purpose alone. It is my wish to give the Zero Fans back that feel, if they play the very same Zero. Not for a long time I have also seen japanese people, who want to do the same thing. http://joy.atbbs.jp/rmz/ However, I´m far from to be completed. I am dependent on you, since I´m a half-autist and I cannot handle stress well. What I hate are these blackouts, if I want to sprite. It steals much my time and I won´t be able to process that way. Xterra and NDraxian from Sprite.INC want to help me in my cause, but they have so much less time. You mean the values of the colours? Thats easy, if you understand binear, hex and dex very well.

I have my most problems with Megaman 2 with the 4th Fortress Boss. I have never got it, that I have to use the Item 1 and 3 to use the Crash Bomb accurately.

Inti Creates has just changed the artstyle, to make reploids appear more human, since they want to expand their series up to Rockman Dash.

I want to share with you my current poems. They are written in german, but I hope you will be able to understand them. I will try in the near future to translate them into english, but I fear that the new poems won´t be the same anymore.

I have just tried to read all this, but I got a blackout, by all this information . If this continues, I will never be able to expand my abilities to hack. You are willed to help, that is really great. At first we should make the blood/oil make to appear again. We will work from the first game, to the latest. So we will start with Megaman Zero 1.
I should prepare better now a forum for this purpose, since I have asked many people on many different boards. About the version of the ROM. We all will use the (U) Version. Well I havent that much knowledge, but I guess the colours for the blood got a transparent colour, meaning that the values must be 0000 or FFFF. It could also be the case that the tiles for the blood got removed.
In the first case, we have just to compare the colours of the japanese and the american version in the palette viewer. If we see a difference we can change it easly with the HEX editor and have the blood back. The other case is more complicated. It could be that the blood tiles just got the very same colour, which makes it difficult to recover. So this are your sprites? If the tileset is cleaned, than you just need to fill the place where the blood should be. Either you copy and paste it with TileMolester or you upload them, meaning that you should have the ripped tiles in your hand already. Unfortunatly I have no ripped tiles of the blood, also Sprites.INC appears to lack of those sprites too. ____________________ I was a prisoner enclosed in the void, were everything might end up just as myself. Now I got it. You was not asking how to make the blood to reappear, you wanted to know how to set the tiles for Zero, so it appears like in your animations. Sorry that I haven´t got that sooner. Okay, open with TileProLayer or TileMolester the wished ROM and search for the tiles. If you found them, then recolour the palette to make them even more recogniseable. It would be the best to recolour the palette with the same colours of your edited sprite, to paste those edited sprites later in the ROM to avoid errors. It must be converted first in a bmp data, that is important because some game systems do not allow PNG or JPEG for example. Now to the fun. After you have found the tiles, resize the window where the tiles are shown as small as possible. Press now (+) or (-), to make the tiles to move. Hold the buttom until the tiles are shaped as a whole sprite. After this you upload now your sprites ( not the whole spritesheet, just one sprite, if won´t mess with the free space of the ROM). However, just watch out not to exceed the tiles of 8x8, because if you do, you could cause some nasty glitches. If you still want to exceed the sprite in heigh or lenght, you need to learn to create extra tiles, for this sprite, but that isn´t easy.
