That's what I meant. Like playing three-note chords with my left hand and a melody with my right.

Some people have because they or the person they wanted to talk to didn't have an instant messaging program.

No way you have that many though. The IDs don't go that high.

No, I was referring to a former incarnation of this thread a few years ago, people mentioned having like 600 PMs with one other person because they didn't have AIM...I think Sofie was one of them.

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about...

Was AIM less widely available in 2002-2003 era?

Don't have it, don't plan to get it. I'm kinda the exception though. I ride my bike and take the bus, and walk if it's within 2 km or so.

I know you coded this, that's why I figured you may have been testing the PM system somewhat.

Sometimes I E-mail stuff to myself for storage (I have Gmail).

You aren't missing much when gas prices are climbing. If I could get away with biking, I probably would. I did for a while but it wore me the fsck out biking up and down hills to get to work one way. Looked kind of embarrassing getting all dressed just to look like shit in front of customers at RS for the first five minutes.

Could you bike in normal clothes and then change there? I've done that the few times I had to dress up.

If you have the details view, just click on the heading for what you want to sort by. If you click a heading twice, it switches to reverse order, and to change back to normal order, click the heading again. (If not, try switching to details by right-clicking and go to View -> Details, changing the setting, and switching back.)

Your parents consider B's bad? Sheesh.

My dad was like that. When I got a very high B (an 89%) in one subject on a progress report (not even the real report card) in 5th grade, he thought it was the end of the world.

I don't remember that menu having an option for switching between normal and reverse order...then again, I don't use Windows primarily.

How badly do you procrastinate?

I used to not be too bad in middle and high school, after one time in elementary school when I procrastinated on a book report so long that I ended up having to do like 2/3 of it in a single evening. My parents would yell at me if I wasn't doing whatever assignment at an acceptable level of progress.

Now that I'm away from them, my procrastination gets worse and worse. With classes I'm actually interested in it's rarely a problem, but for humanities classes, I usually won't start an essay until the day it's due. I just can't force myself to work on essays until it's "do or die". With assigned reading, I generally skip it entirely and just feverishly flip through the book, my notes, and/or Sparknotes while I'm writing the essay. In-class tests kill me.

I even procrastinate on things not related to school, if it's something I don't want to do or don't really care about.

You know you have a problem when your laptop's battery loses 60% of its charge over the weekend without you even using it during that time.

Well, during the New Year's 2004 spree, I realized that 2004-01-01 was my 666th day at Acmlm's.

I never deleted PMs, I always just let them accumulate. Same with E-mail to an extent...if it's spam or one of the random things my university sends everyone about job offers in Detroit, I delete it right away. Otherwise, it pretty much stays there forever or until I abandon the account.

I also prefer wires in most cases. Wireless networks tend to be very unreliable in my experience. When I had wireless Internet in late 2005 and early 2006, it would go down for minutes or even hours at a time constantly. I shudder to think of wireless power at that reliability rate.

Zelda 1.

I'm in the process of replaying all the 2D Zelda games I own from Zelda 1 through to Minish Cap, including BS Zelda and the Outlands romhack.

Yeah, there is the scenic Wire Forest under my desk right now, but I usually don't have much trouble as most of them are only power cords and such that are rarely fiddled with. The only trouble arises when I'm trying to grap my headphones or gamepad and I haven't used them in a while. Sometimes I've had to just unplug and re-plug them rather then bothering to untangle them.

I think "earedness" is just a function of handedness in the context of phones. You naturally pick up the phone with your dominant hand. Then, if you have to write something, you switch the phone to the other hand.
