Theoretically I'm writing a fantasy novel. Really, I've been much too lazy lately.

58. When the numbering is wrong.

59. McMansions.

60. Outer-ring suburbs with their winding streets, two-lane arterials, and no buses, not to mention way too much space between everything.

My parents always turned off the computer when they were done with it and made me do the same, even though the computer was in use for more than half the time, usually. (And it wasn't always me. They were videogame addicts as well. Hell, they still are.) So I got in the habit of turning off the computer when I leave the room or are done with it. Sometimes now I leave it on though, especially when I'm reading something on the Internet.

Sometimes I think I forget that this is the no-backspace threas and hit backspace as a reflex action.

I really have to study for a test on Machiavelli on Wednesday, read the rest of the Aeneid for tomorrow, and finish my assignment for Prob & Stat for Wednesday, and what am I doing? Posting at Acmlm's!

That's awesome. Nobody hacks Zelda, probably because of Zelda Classic. But you can't make Zelda II-style games with that. I was disappointed to find out that the Shadow of Link only went up to Death Mountain.

Umm, Joker?

I'm guessing Juggling Joker...

I got confused by a lot of the gender changes as well. I remember thinking Ziff was female.

Does anyone know if leaving it on all the time actually saves electricity? I've heard that a computer uses more power when it is first turned on than t any other time...

I never got very many either but there are times when PMs come in handy, especially since a lot of people check their E-mail about once a century (or don't post their E-mail address at all for fear of harvester bots).

The worst part about post deletion is that noobs would often delete the first post of a thread thinking that would delete the whole thread.

Yesterday, like every day, felt really short to me. Every day now it feels like I wake up and then I have to go to bed.

Is it just me or does those last two not emit any sound?

If it's too high-pitched for your ears (everyone is different on the exact range they can hear), you won't hear anything.

Yes, I know there's no poll feature, just give your answer in the thread.

Question #1 is: How many spaces do you indent your code, and do you use tabs or spaces?

I like to indent each block by 4 spaces. The default tab stop of 8 is just way too much for me, it causes the blocks to be really spread out horizontally in my opinion and you quickly run out of space for more blocks, especially when you have like a switch inside an if-else inside a loop inside another loop. One or two spaces doesn't set off the block enough for me. I prefer spaces to tabs becase I want it to show up as 4 spaces everywhere, whereas when I use tabs, loading the file in a different editor will show me eight spaces. I know tabs use less space in the file, but that doesn't matter too much in these days of multigigabyte hard drives.

Well, the point of this test is to see how high are the pitches you can't hear. So there are probably a few in there that are even too high for you.

Yea, the oddest thing happened...the text from other members was on top of the pictures. And since I can't edit, close or any of the above, we're stuck with what we have.

I just remembered, I didn't have any Jager bombs.

That's not happening to me (in Firefox).

And I never party in real life, only online. Pretty much my whole social life is on the Internet, which is just fine for me as I have Asperger's syndrome and can't read facial expressions anyway.

If I recall correctly from having designing a crappy board system in the past, PHP doesn't really care about data types, so you might be able to use something like:

if ($_GET['id'] == '-0')

i.e., comparing the id to a string "-0" rather than the number -0. Not sure if that works though, and I have no place where I can test PHP.
