Tree style?
Is that the ones where every reply was listed on its own page? I hated those, at least that style of message board has died out. |

I did once in elementary school, but that was it. I still don't understand what my dad's job was. Some kind of really top secret thing with the Air Force. Now, it's some kind of non-top secret thing with the Army.
At the school in Michigan, they insisted that only girls were allowed to go to "take your kid to work day". |

2021. Finding out that an approaching deadline is much sooner than I previously thought it was.
2022. Facing severe penalties (like an F for the assignment or even for the whole class) for turning in a paper one second late, when the teacher takes months to grade them. |

I've never had a download limit, or at least I never knew I had one. I watch a lot of stuff on YouTube, surf the web, and use AIM, but it's not like I'm downloading 100 movie trailers, 500 CDs, and 200 game demos every week or anything. It could be a really high limit.
I leech, but I very rarely use file-sharing networks. I do this old-fashioned thing called downloading most of the time and only turn to torrents if it's the only was I can get a file. I might download like 2 torrents a year. So I'm a very slight leech. |

Sometimes I wish I chose something more weird for my username, like "The Cyan Spatula" or "Interdimensional Skyscraper". Usually though, I get bored of funny names, especially long ones. I changed from Eyeball Eaters to Kernal here, for instance.
My real name is fine, but I kinda want to get rid of my 1-letter middle name. Nobody believes that my real, legal middle name is "J", they always think it's Jay or mishear it as James. Also, some forms want a middle name and not just a middle initial. Well, my middle name is my middle initial! |

Xkeeper said I was insane, and I believe him, so I changed my CT to Insane. I tend to change my CT a lot. I always have, even at the first board...I never kept a title for more than a week or so. |

Is there anything you see in some romhacks that you dislike or hate to any degree?
I don't like graphics-only hacks in most cases, I play hacks because I want to play the old game with new levels/maps/dungeons etc. Graphics with levels is fine, but graphics alone makes me not play the hack. I don't hate the existence of these hacks as some of the graphics changes are good, but I have little or no interest in playing them. Also, I tend to not like hacks that keep too many things the same. Change the game, people. Don't just switch around a few "?" blocks and goombas and call it a hack. The worst thing, though, is the insane level of difficulty in certain hacks. I generally prefer hack to have a similar difficulty to the original or are harder, but some people go crazy. The romhack posted in general chat is an example. Who wants to play something like that? I don't know about anyone else, but my idea of fun does not consist of hitting the restore-state button every two seconds and covering approximately one screen per hour. Zelda II hacks seem to be notorious for this. Look, Zelda II is already insanely difficult as it is. I'm not interested in playing basically the same thing only 100 times harder, but I am interested in playing a hack that changes things around and feels like a new game based on Zelda II. |

2032. When sites randomly fail to load.
2033. When the button for a program that's not open remains in the taskbar and I can't get rid of it. |

Your mom is a wannabe punk rocker?
In 2004 I found out that my grandmother, who was 77 at the time, liked rap music. |

I used to do stuff like that at my parents' house. Even Michigan gets unbearably hot in July, and the AC in that house is horrendous. Eventually we got another window AC unit for the other side of the house. |

Speaking of leeching, I'm using someone else's wireless right now. There's supposed to officially be free wireless here any day now though. |

We first got intarwebz in 1996 when we lived near Buffalo, then we moved a few times and didn't have it in Lexington because it's the middle of fscking nowhere. Then they finally got Internet up there but it was and still is only dialup. I didn't really start using it until 2001 though. I didn't get high speed until I moved to the city (well, the 'burbs), and it was crappy wireless at first, then back to dialup for a while, then cable, and now I'm leeching off of someone's wireless connection with my laptop until I can get real Internet service. (Then again, it's cheaper to leech.) |

Yeah, my work is mostly 18-25-year-olds, but there were at least two babies born in the past year or so. I know for one of them, the father (who worked there) was 25, I don't know about the other one... |
