Weird how Banedon, of all people, is the fastest poster these days...hopefully I'm scaring away the ||boarders as well. I'm kinda burning out though lately.

Acmlm's is like a drug, only more addictive...and dangerous.

637. Having seen examples of #636 before and not understanding what "As if" by itself is supposed to mean. Isn't it a preposition or something?

I have a tendency to post when I should be working on homework. Once I was so busy posting at another board that I couldn't even start the essay that was due the next day, and I had to do it all the morning it was due.

Some pages on the wiki need updating. In particular, we should do something about certain members' pages (like Tomguy's) that are just random gibberish, and we should indicate clearly any members that are at ||board and not Board II.

653. When you drop something small on the ground (especially one already cluttered with stuff) and it immediately bounces a metre or more away in a random direction, so you'll never find it.

Yes it is. On days where there is black ice I have to remember to walk on the grass instead of the sidewalk as I'm less likely to come across a slippery spot.

The weather here has been warm and rainy lately (I like rain).

EDIT: When I made this post, the "Posted" page was rendered in 0.666 seconds.

Frankly, those are both absurd. You're suggesting that if you understand what a, h, t, and w, all mean, you can derive what "what" means. Assumably, you can also derive the meaning of "hat", "at", "thaw", "haw", "awww", "that", and more.

w * h * a * t does equal what in a mathematical context, because when two or more variables are next to each other, they are being multiplied.

And knowing the letters of a word would give you a hint about its pronounciation at least, if only English pronunciation had any consistency to it.

Message boards are my primary means of socializing, actually. In real life I talk to a lot of people at school and work, but I never meet with them outside of school or work. I don't know why, I just prefer not to I guess. Maybe it has to do with my Asperger's syndrome.

Congratulations on being the first to 1000 on the new board, Xkeeper!

I'll probably be second to 1000 unless Katelyn passes me again, which she might as I've slowed down somewhat.

But you generally don't need to drive in Europe. Most places (even small towns) are connected to a bus or train network, and buildings in cities are closer together so you can walk or bike to your destination.

Most American development wastes a lot of space.

From my experience, housing in the Detroit area is generally pretty roomy. It's like the Land of the McMansions.

Then again, the Detroit area is shrinking in population and increasing in area, so it gets more and more spread out as middle-class families move to the far suburbs to get away from the lower classes, and others leave the area entirely, often for ridiculously hot places like Texas.

Hey, I had a Tandy 1000 and a Commodore 128...I think games were better in those days. Now it's all about the damn graphics. I never liked first-person games.

I'd either leave it all in the bio or try implementing it in a way that won't add a dozen fields everywhere ...

Maybe have the software hide any empty fields on the profile page?

I believe any -sson name is very common in Sweden, dating from the time when Scandinavian last names were just the father's name plus "son", similar to "Johnson" etc. in English.

The diacritic omission that really pisses me off is "uber". The word is über, with an umlaut. Considering that ü can be substituted "ue" in German if you can't type an umlaut, there is no excuse for "uber" becuse you can type "ueber" if you can't get the ü or are too lazy.
