I think if your blood is negative you can only take negative blood, but if your blood is positive you can take either type of blood, which makes negative blood more "valuable". Negative mothers often have problems when they are carrying positive children, for instance. |

I've found that I'm a LOT more rested if I dream, even if I get very little sleep. Sometimes I even seem to dream without sleeping...I know I've been dreaming and my mind feels rested, but my body feels like crap, like I've just been holding position for an hour. |

I seem to be alone on this, but I actually prefer emulation over the real thing.
For one thing, emulation gives you access to a wider variety of games. I can play Japanese FDS roms without having to import an actual Disk System and somehow get it to work. I can play lots of romhacks, most of which are never made in cartridge format. And it's easier to hunt down roms of whatever game I want to play than it is to scour jilions of fleamarkets and whatnot to find the cartridge. Another thing I love about emulators is savestates. Sure I used them to cheat, but only for really tough games like the Lone Ranger for NES. Mostly I use savestates so I can stop playing and continue right where I left off, without getting tossed back to the last save point or losing my stats (like Kirby's Adventure where your lives are reset to a default amount). Emulation is even better for NES games as very few of them had a battery save at all, requiring you to instead type 30-character passwords where I looked like l which looked like 1, and one wrong character causes you to lose all your progress. Some games like SMB3 had no save mechanism at all despite being quite large, and I often can't play a game in one sitting. Also, I like being able to enter more than 3 Game Genie codes, turn them on and off at will, and enter them using a keyboard rather than a NES controller. I rarely use GG codes but I like to try out weird ones sometimes. In addition, old systems break. My Commodore 64 broke a couple years ago and my NES only barely works. With an emulator, I don't have to blow into the cartridge 30 times, insert it just right, and wait for the planets to properly align to play a Zelda 1 cartridge whose battery doesn't work anyway. Still, I like the way NES games appear on a TV screen... |

It seems there are a few more statistics available than the ones listen at the top of this thread...check Acmlm's profile, for instance. One of them seems to be posts per day and I have no clue what the other one is. |

I got a USB gamepad for my computer a few years ago. It's similar to a SNES controller in button layout but has hand grips. Any decent emulator should be able to recognize it and you can customize the button mappings. |

Posted by Xkeeper I've always been pretty desensitized to anything I hear on the news, even 09-11. I mean, I am opposed to terrorism and recognize the day as being one with a major loss of life, but it didn't shake me to the core or make me want to find meaning in life or anything like that. |

I don't watch the news (or any TV). If a news event is important enough, I'll hear about it online, from my parents, from school, etc. If it isn't important (like J-Lo getting her 33rd husband or whatever), I probably don't care. |

A green driveway, interesting...do you know the story behind it? Is it just asphalt or concrete painted green?
Around here, the looping, horseshoe-shaped driveway is predominant. You know, the kind where you never have to bakck up into the road. I've never seen any weird colours of driveway though. |

I hate natural light indoors. Especially direct sunlight as my eyes are very sensitive to it and I don't like having to keep my position adjusted just right to avoid sun in my eyes, glare on the computer screen, etc.
My parents are the opposite, and it drives me nuts. I'm always closing shades and they're always opening them. |

Last game I bought...hmmm. The last game I received was New Super Mario Bros., but that was a Christmas present. It ws probably some GBA game or something. The only new systems I'm interested in are the portables, really... |

I prefer overcast days to sunny days usually, I don't know why. I actually like rain and don't mind being out in it. The worst time for sunny days are in the depths of winter, because the snow isn't gonna melt when its that cold and the sunlight just reflects off the snow and fries my eyeballs. The best time for sun is the end of winter/early spring when it melts the remaining snow (until the next freak snowstorm, that is; weather around here seems to be run by some kind of random-number generator). |

I was born around 05:00 on 1987-07-19 (8 days late). I sometimes joke that I should move to Australia so that I have a winter birthday like everyone else, because like 90% of my friends and 100% of my family has a birthday between November and March.
I was 3.6 kg at birth (7 lbs 15 oz, but I prefer the metric system). I don't know my birth height though, I'd have to ask my mom, not like she remembers. |

I think if someone is allergic to water they would die pretty quick, right? The human body is mostly water, after all.
My irrational fear is going blind, but that isn't a tangible object. I don't like creepy crawlies (bugs, worms, etc.) but I'm not afraid of them, I just don't want them in my apartment. |

Posted by JDavis I've seen similar stuff in rural parts of Michigan that numbered their houses recently to accommodate the 911 system. They don't bother naming the roads, they just number them. |

I use headphones for most of my computer sound needs as well, because I'm often on the computer when my dad is asleep. When I lived with my parents, they generally went to bed at 21:00 or earlier and I would stay up on the computer. Too bad you couldn't turn off the damn PC speaker (which was still used by a lot of games in the 90's). |

Or time to finally replace my power supply in my other computer so I can use it instead. The power supply is such a pain to replace though, as you need to disconnect and reconnect all 4387259347507345 wires giving power to the other components in the computer. |
