I never worked in retail, oddly enough. In high school I lived in a rural area where the only occupations were farmer and redneck, and when I went to university I was hired by them as a tutor. I applied for an internship with a computer security company this summer.

Is that the Democratic version of the $200 Bush bills?

I also heard of a guy who tried to cash a check made out to a company called Roadway Express by giving fake ID that said his name was "Roadway Express".

You know, I don't think too many boards have gone through as many versions and incarnations as this one. Moral: Make backups! And beware of major faction splits.

Sorry, i haven't been keeping up with the version numbers.

Of course, if it was like Acmlmboard, it'd be like 1.0, 1.5, 1.9, 1.99, 1.991, 1.A, 1.B, 1.omega, etc. to avoid ever hitting 2 (which was promised in 1947).

What was the first programming language you ever programmed in, and how old were you when you first programmed?

My first programming experience was in Basic on a Commodore 64 (which is quite different from the more common forms of Basic such as Q and Visual. For one thing, it had LINE NUMBERS. Dun dun dun.) This was 1995, so it was old even then, but my parents were always way behind in technology. I was 8 years old at the time. (I know I'm beat though. I know a guy at university who first programmed at age 5, also with a Commodore 64 and Basic.)

My first "real" programming was in C one year later on a DOS-based machine. Most of the languages I know (C, C++, Java, and PHP) use C-like syntax, which really throws me off now that I'm learning Haskell in school, I tried to use % as a modulus operator whereas Haskell uses the function "mod".

I had some wine in Canada this past summer. It tasted like radioactive sewage, so I don't really see the appeal of alcohol. I don't want to get drunk and lose control of myself and dance naked on a table with a lampshade over my head and wake up puking my guts out, and it doesn't even taste good.

Are there that many worshippers of Gaea these days?

Although my mom told me about a "cult" in Greece that has started once again worshipping Zeus, going back to the old temples and such.

Also, my grandmother is an alcoholic and it got to the point where my mom had to take away her car keys, and I would like to avoid possibly getting alcoholism, especially sonce I seem to have inherited all of her other mental quirks.

Funny, I always wanted high school to be canceled.

Here it's been cold rain and wading through fields of slush to the point that my socks had more water molecules than, uh, sock molecules.

Hell, When I was 6 or 7 I actually believed those "YOU HAVE ALREADY WON $1337357" bulk mail thingies and wondered why it was just casually discarded on the floor. I picked it up and was like "Mom, Dad, aren't we rich now?"

And I want to be able to once again ride my bike to school. I think this reduced amount of exercise has been having some detrimental effects on me.

What's the other subject you like?

Does anyone else think the name Wii sounds really dumb? Revolution (the original name) sounds so much better. "I'm gonna go play Revolution" sounds awesome, whereas "I'm gonna go play Wii" sounds like you're talking about masturbation. Not to mention the whole "hold your wee for a Wii" fiasco and the fact that it sounds like a personal pronoun and ends with two i's.

What is your opinion on the name Wii, and do you think the console should have been called something else instead?

(We're only talking about the NAME, not the actual console.)

Yeah, I always wondered why SMW got its own forum but all the other Mario games were lumped in with the other random stuff. I guess because Lunar Magic was the first über-awesome editor of any videogame, even though a lot of people still hacked SMB1 and such in the early days as well.

I don't know that all of those games would be considered rare...Well-known Mario games, for instance, are about as common as water.

Err...the question was directed to Katelyn.

My favourite subjects are anything dealing with math or computers, and I tend to not like English or humanities classes very much, although that depends on the teacher more than anything else.

I read 1984 in high school and thought it had an important message but was just too depressing for me.
