I just played through the first Megaman Ultra on Expert (I didnt even try the other difficulty, lol) and thought it was awesome. Took me about 3 days, which is waaay longer than it took me to beat Mega man 9.

New trailor looks sick. PM me if you need help testing it. I'm def in.

I think it looks pretty sweet. i like side scrolling levels, although I'm not a huge fan of those stupid note blocks.

You should definitly include a nice impossible level with the fish guy that eats you. He's always a good time.

Really liked the first game, so I'm pretty excited about this project. Megaman 4 had those hidden items, which makes it a pretty exciting ROM to work with. Hidden Stuff is always cool. My favorite part of the original MMU was the insane boss battles, the level where you fight through the capsules is particularly awesome in that game. Also the impossible final boss was sweet - It was like Ninja Gaiden hard and I think i beat it on about the 60th try. I admit to making a save state right before the fight because going through that short level was too much of a pain.

My only criticism was that the weapons basically did the same thing as in the original - which I didnt really notice until I played Rockman No Constancy and saw how creative you could get on weapons. From what I can see here, that wont be a negative in the new game. Oh, and I was a little upset I had to know how to cheat with Quick Boomerangs, because I DIDNT know that and had to find the answer on Youtube! sigh. I guess at least I know how to do a new trick now.

Graphics on the opening of the beta were top notch. Very nice. Some of the text had an awkward flow to it due to where the break was and probably could use a minor rewrite. Of course you've put enough time into that already, so it probably isnt a big deal. The content of the story was decent though and I was intrigued be what a battle of weak-ass little Megaman vs the far superior X would be like.

I recognize this pallet from NES Ducktails. Very nice. I enjoyed the classic nintendo settings from the first game very much.

I experienced some graphical glitches when I reached the boss's room. I tried patching the file to several differnt dumps of the MM4 (U) ROM, but it was the same problem everytime.

Good luck on the game and let us check out more levels when you get a chance. I certainly will be following this one.

Demo was cool. I liked the open-ended structure of the level - it was nice to see some innovation to the typical Megaman gameplay. Is it possible to get the first letter of the code without killing yourself afterwards?

I liked the little energy bar associated with me charging the Megabuster. Nice touch there.

Most exciting about this release was the video I saw of the weapons you designed. The sheild was pretty unique, and some of the other ones looked cool, too. It made me very interested in what the bosses that weild these weapons are going to be like. When you get a chance, definitly release a demo that lets us play with a couple of the weapons or let us fight one of your robot-master bosses (rather than this rehashed MM4 boss).

All the screen shots and video you have make this game look sick. Keep us posted.

Played this for a while and found it to be a pretty good time. I was pretty proud to beat Mouser and a couple of the Metools, although most of those guys are seriously impossible =) I imagine having some working weapons will help.

Really enjoyed the Metool Gauntlet and am excited to play it in the final game. Is the Bombman Metool really beatable? He always glitches when I deal 50% damage and runs off the screen.

Didn't notice a Slashman stage. Neither of the ? levels seemed to work for me at all. Am I doing something wrong?

Good luck with this one, infidelity. I'm definitly interested in playing more.

I played the demo of this a couple times and it was really good, so I definitly hope you get the help you need. I'm most excited about the new weapons that Infidelity was working on, as I think the best MM hacks are the ones that change the guns - feels less like a retread. I dont think I can be too helpful, but I'll definitly play any unfinished levels you have if you need some feedback.

I noticed in the demo that Plant Man doesnt do anything if you dont move towards him, is that intentional or a bug?
