Well, I fixed the outline now.
@icegoom: The background did not have the necessary tiles, I drew them. If you want I can send you the fixed one. And another things, the cave FG only used one ExGFX file while the BG uses 2, at least for the NSMB graphics. The YIDS FG and BG uses one ExGFX file each.

Indeed, it's very hypnotizing. Anyway, if Bouché should not mind using his N-SPC files in SMW, I really would suggest using bs2-03 or bs2-04 as a boss music for Bowser or the other Koopas.

I'll pile it on the list of things to do, like fixing KP9000's scheme for the 7th time and adding Ice Man's themes, if he's even here anymore.
I'm here but not as active as I used to anymore. If you need the scheme files again, I still have them.

I think I need to post here, too. Here's a small intro change of Toad's World.

@Stifu, there is a patch available on SMW Central. It will just expand the tilemap to 64x32 and you can use a GFX file you want. Colors are limited to 7 or 8 unless you want to overwrite other colors, then 15.

Ghettoyouth tried to do a spotlight for me which works fine but the only problem is, I can't seem to make it any darker as you can see on the screenshot.

Now my question is, is there a way to darken the area around the circle or square as it is in the screenshot? Also on the right is a small line which only seems to appear when I use the spotlight sprite. Is there a way to remove that, too?

PS: Here is the code for it:

lda $40
ora #%01100010
sta $40
lda #%0010001
STA $212d

I don't get that pixelated error. Which emulator are you two using? I use ZSNES and I don't get that problem. As for the levels there will be alot more riddles when the whole thing is finished. World 3 has some already.

EDIT: It's an error with ZSNES 1.51 because it worked with 1.50
EDIT2: Redownload from SMW Central. This should work now.

EDIT3: Redownload again. Another small bug has been fixed.

Well, those wooden blocks already have been fixed along with some other problems in cave levels. I'm aware of the P-Block because I didn't change anything to it. I don't know exactly what you mean with the cave level though. Maybe you can try to get a screenshot of it? Other than that, redownload the hack and those bugs in the castle and such should be fixed.

You should definetely use these then:

  • yibow <- In kafuka folder (bowser battle)

  • bsp <- In kafuka folder (star music)

  • sml2-04 <- In sml2 folder (good for an OW music)

  • SDTWS <- In smrpg-smas folder (nice ending music)

icegoom, you know, you can actually use 8 frames. Ever heard of the extended animation feature in Lunar Magic? It works with sprites, too.

This does not seem to work for me. I opened cmd, typed in the path of the files (D:\test\addmusic SMW.smc INIT) but I get this error:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: AddMusic

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
PS: I got the newest java.

Edit: Nevermind, I got working. It somehow was the path that wasnt working. Ah well. It's all good now.

So is there a chance we can insert more music with it? Cause I need more than 11.txt - 18.txt files.

Yea, but I'm not planning to use it for the OW only. I can use it on levels, too. Therefor I need more slots.

There is a tool called tinymm. It will convert MID to MML (the format used for the songs) but appearently the loops, echos, tempo, volume and such need to be done by hand cause the songs won't work otherwise. Don't ask me how to do it, I only know that. I tried to take 11.txt as a base and somewhat got a music from Bahamut Lagoon which sounded totally fucked up, xD.
Maybe we have to wait until someone explains us the format and inserting/creating new music and even more music.

EDIT: Here is the link to to tinymm
