Society for the Human Improvement of Nations (SHION)

Population: Varies; around 60,000 civilian workers, 373,000 military personnel, and 173,300 POWs (and rising)
Flag: The SHION has no culture; why would they need one?
Form of Government: Military Oligarchy (12 members of the Aesir plus the Grand Provost, Dr. Lanther Stiles Gréssot)

Description: Formed in the late 21st century as a nonprofit humanitarian aid provider. Thanks to its massive investments in scientific and medical research, particularly in the field of genetic engineering, the SHION helped avert the 2116 world hunger crisis by safely mass-producing vegetables and cloned meat, saving many Third World countries from total starvation. They also managed to solve the overporulation problem by pioneering space colonization in the form of low-cost Bernoulli-Lindbergh Orbital Civilian Habitats (BLOCHs, though usually referred to as BLOCKs). The organization eventually evolved into a sort of 'peacekeeping' organization, similar to the UN and NATO, holding only a token amount of soldiers in case of emergency.

But after the UN granted them a section of land in 2198, officially recognizing the SHION as a country, several unscrupulous leaders began to sow the seeds of imperialism. The world owed them a huge debt of gratitude for their past deeds, and it was time to collect, they thought. Slowly but surely, they secretly began to develop advanced weaponry, eventually expanding into outer space with its Gjallarhorn Project- death from above. SHION scientists perfected procedures for the genetic manipulation and augmentation of soldiers, mostly through trial-and-error, creating some truly horrible mutant beasts in the process. When they could no longer maintain their operations a secret and the other nations became concerned, the SHION simply began attacking everything in its path, reducing the opposition to rubble in a matter of weeks.

A new world. 14 nations ripe for the taking. With their impressive orbital bombardment capabilities, the latest in combat mechs, and hyper-augmented soldiers, the SHION once again sets its sights on... world domination!!

• SHS-93 Krishna, SHS-137 Beowulf, SHS-142 Freya, heavy attack battlecruisers; and a fleet of 400 other battleships.

The spectacled young blonde nodded assertively.

-Yes, herr Meister. Doctor Isaacs was so kind to inform me that the Einherjar are nearly ready for deployment. He wishes for you to meet him at Area L4, posthaste.

Dr. Stiles' face lit up with anticipation. You could hardly tell from his expression that he was a megalomaniacal madman hell-bent on world domination.

-Ah, I see. Excellent. Let us go, shall we? It's rather rude to keep the old man waiting...

Both of them stepped into the green glow of the Trans Server in the corner.

A shadowy figure with horn-rimmed glasses greeted the Provost and their Consort as they stepped out of the elevator and into the GAME laboratory.

-Ah, herr Meister and company! So glad to see you're here, heh heh!

-You're unusually cheerful today, herr Doktor. Care to elaboratet?

-But of course, mistress Luce! Come in, let me show you.

Dr. Isaacs ushered the pair towards one of the eight capsules lying neatly in a circle on the center of the room. The capsules were riddled with all sorts of cables, tubes and life-support devices; keeping subjects in stasis isn't as easy as it looks. Pointing at the sleeping body of a young man inside one of the capsules, he began his presentation.

-This is Einherjar Number 01. We picked him up outside of a bar in Amsterdam. Poor fellow never knew what hit him. Thankfully, we never had to resort to brainwashing or torture; the mind bridge took care of everything. Thanks to the Aleph you've captured, my team has easily managed to perfect the process of genetic and metaphysical manipulation, so we won't have any more of those 'incidents' like what happened in Sta. Clarisa.

-Are they ready for deployment?

-Give me two days to work out the last bugs, and you shall have your super-soldiers.

-Granted. Let's go, Luce.

In my honest opinion, this thread reeks of "I wanna be the admin! D:"

Certainly, we aren't the most active of staff, and yes, I do agree that some are currently unnecesary (and have been already demoted), but you seem to miss the fact that, like you, we have this thing called a "life", which occupies a lot of our time. We cannot dedicate all of our free time to the board, as we have other things to do as well, like put up with all the stuff required for college admission. Please understand.

I also don't see why this board needs any new staff. It works just fine as it is. Of course, we could use some coders...
