Blackhole89 does not care about human readability. I do.
This basic concept -- as well as his inability to think about other options before running and implementing the first idea that hits him* -- causes a natural clash between us. Acmlm would be nice to have around, yes, but unfortunately he refuses to involve himself and my questions as to wether he would or not tend to go unanswered. * The "flags" in onlineusers uses one query per IP it looks up, which can easily lag the MySQL if you try asking for a lot of users with a high "time". The idea I got within seconds of his notifying me of how it worked (not the potential exploit above) was "look it up when the user browses a page and store it with the user IP instead". Further ideas would be "look up only if loguser['ip'] != REMOTE_ADDR", which would save another query whenever it did not change. But my biggest problem is still his implementation of editpost. It's just too broken to fix right now. ____________________ I dealt with it. |

I mean especially with database schematics. He has no problem mashing things together, requiring complex queries to read. I prefer having everyting nicely organized and easy to edit. ____________________ I dealt with it. |

LL, I think he's only using those sprites as a refrence. Having rips handy is much easier than trying to view them during the game ____________________ I dealt with it. |

Acmlm actually has a scan of the very EGM comic that brought me here, mostly because his Strange Mario Bros. shows up in it ____________________ I dealt with it. |

I'd say something about my computer's age, but it's an HP DV8000, so that should say enough
Edit: Review of it, although I got mine for $900. Of course, even at $900, it still leaves your overpriced pile of scrap parts out of the water, which is sad. SliverX's method is a lot better, and if it's anything like reassembling one, probably not hard. (Note: the laptop I linked to has some bonus features like an extra 512 M of RAM and a lightscribe burner, but 2GB of memory for this would cost about $210 at most) ____________________ I dealt with it. |

Posted by GuyPerfectOftentimes system tray applications are not crap per se. They are just applications minimized to the system tray.... not to mention I often use all the ones that appear here: ____________________ I dealt with it. |

Posted by KlesYes, but this is supposedly "new" yet costs almost $1000, when it's been proven you can make much better for much less. It's a relative thing. ____________________ I dealt with it. |

Just an example:
In his method, the different revisions would be sorted through the query used to select posts. In my method, they would be sorted out beforehand, so the query would be simpler. In the link, you can see the current code (top) and what it would be reduced to (bottom). ____________________ I dealt with it. |

Xkeeper is getting too comfortable with the quote button, methinks.
The text and textbox don't fit at all. I don't know what it is, but it feels clashing. The left character is looking fowards (towards us), yet the text indicats "to the right". Comics suck that way. It might be better to exclude direction from the text entirely and let the characters themselves show where it's coming from. ____________________ I dealt with it. |
