A good way to start would generally be corruption.
Just find a good corruptor, start corrupting chunks of the ROM (not too big, but not too small either... just play with it) and when you find one that makes the levels go wonky, try editing around that area with a hex editor. P.S. Guys, if you ha read his post:

Eh, more practice
Just playing against some Go-bots, since everyone knows there are no beginners in this game. (Mabye one or two but they're rare) It was an interesting match, though I made several dumb mistakes ____________________ I dealt with it. |
