I can definitely see why this was removed 
It doesn't seem to work properly for me -- one of them will always be in the same spot but will occasionally move around 
So you end up making a gigantic string of platforms that is hard to cross, or even worse pushing them so far off that they disappear...  ____________________ I dealt with it. |

This is why my games are usually the exact opposite of this It's a lot easier to just have fun... money doesn't matter so you hvae t ofind better ways to compete, like getting more cargo than everyone eles 
The sad thing is that OpenTTD is slowly progressing towards this style of gameplay (more complex/difficult/harder to actually win) due to all the stuck-up morons working on it. The game does not need rebalanced -- obviously the formula worked if it got so many people into the game.____________________ I dealt with it. |
