For new games, I like actually playing them.

For older games, I like to re-experience them via emulation.

Although I do like sitting down and playing on the SNES, since having a controller handy and playing on a huge screen just can't compare to a keyboard (although I like it more than a controller, go fig) and monitor...

It seems there are a few more statistics available than the ones listen at the top of this thread...check Acmlm's profile, for instance. One of them seems to be posts per day and I have no clue what the other one is.
Yeah, I asked him to list them here.. the last one is level, I believe.

A full listing of graphs would be a little harder

It's like y2k all over again with people thinking the world will end because computers don't know daylight savings time is early this year. (Well, I guess people aren't quite as worried as they were 7 years ago, but meh.)
After a whlie, you start getting desensitized to this crap. Anthrax, Y2K, avian flu, SARS...

It got old.

I think it's mostly because the media needs to overdramatize everything to get people to watch (Everyone loves a good scare!), it gets to the point where nothing really suprises you on the news anymore. Whoopee, someone died, who cares?

Mostly because they're always put in some dramatic light instead of being serious, since, you know. More viewers = more $.

"Rendering" counts as serverside time -- from the moment the timer starts (shortly after execution) up till when the script is completed (shortly before, uh, ending).

User-side render times are usually quite different, and made especially worse due to this server's location. For me, the delay is low, but noticable.

And that's why I can't stand watching propaganda channel.

Or as it's usually called. CNN. >>

I like watching news, but things aren't as overdone on our TV channels news. Tabloids however...
Oh, for the love of...

It's the Communist News Network. Get it right!

And I rarely watch the news either. I'm blissfully ignorant of the world around me, but I did like reading the New York Post's "murders" section, mostly because it listed exactly what happened with little emotion or dramatization, so it was interetsing to see what happened and easier to be a little upset (instead of gaping in awe at blue and red flashing lights)...

Yeah, I know. I say that mostly because even I don't remember all of them

There are a few obvious ones, though, so later I'll see what I can whip up.

I've been littering the map with goofy ones (and I noticed other people joined in), like I did "Mlmca" and a few other oddballs (durbutter, etc.)

I actually did place my real one, just find Henderson NV on that map and I'm not far away

(Yes, the driveway next to me really is green)

I hate natural light indoors. Especially direct sunlight as my eyes are very sensitive to it and I don't like having to keep my position adjusted just right to avoid sun in my eyes, glare on the computer screen, etc.

My parents are the opposite, and it drives me nuts. I'm always closing shades and they're always opening them.
Hah, reminds me of myself. I often sleep during the day (or early morning), so light is my natural foe.. not to mention I'm often blinded temporarily when I go outside

At least my parents aren't home and my room is dark, or I'd be in for problems.

A green driveway, interesting...do you know the story behind it? Is it just asphalt or concrete painted green?

Around here, the looping, horseshoe-shaped driveway is predominant. You know, the kind where you never have to bakck up into the road. I've never seen any weird colours of driveway though.
It's just... green. I never knew why and it's been like that for a long, long fucking time

My Mario Kart DS got eaten by our dog (well, partially). I have no desire to get another copy because "snaking" ruins the point of the game.

Ride Among the Clouds
Except for the TEST level, this is the first level in the ROM (possibly the first "real" level ever made for SMW?). Sort of reminds me of level 1-4 in SMB3. The pipe at the end isn't exit enabled, suggesting that pipe exits worked differently when the level was made.

Really reminds me of coin heaven (SMB); which is possible that might've been its purpose.
Mabye for a single level, but it doesn't look like a multi-purpose one, and the start reminds me too much of SMB3's W1L4. It just gets a little odd afterwards. (Also notice the "Fast BG Scroll", which won't work with that platform iirc)

These are pretty neat.. I can definitely see why Mushroom Scales was cut, though maybe someone should try to restore it to what it could have looked like with the original blocks... (or some approximation thereof)
I can't. If you mean the scales being broken, that was probably due to later changes after this level was done (it might've been you used two seperate ones instead of one normal one, for example, to generate them)

There's a similar uneatable object in Top Secret Area. I checked in LM, and it was the Enable Side-Exit sprite.
The grand irony in this, is that sprite is what started this whole discussion in the first place

Probably just shoddiness.
Eh. Consider, also, the chances of this cropping up during playtesting; slim to none. Hell, we really only found out about it by pure accident, I'd guess

Also, amkes me wonder. What happens if you make the sprite edible, and eat it?

Does the level cease being side-exit enabled?

Maybe she couldn't.

My high school worked like this: If you ever have more than 10 absences in any given semester, you WILL take 13th grade.
Most do, I think. Truancy laws, lol.

Haha, that rendition of Tails is actually quite amusing and interesting... but I'm not so sure on a TinaSitter variant.

Besides, you still haven't gotten a fuzzy jacket in. Or mabye I need to actually get the refrence for you?

I'll be damned.

(Only difference is, mine has long sleeves. But past that, A+.

...Mostly disliking because of the way the arms are drawn, but I'm fairly sure they were bleh in the original anyway.)
