After about two or so years since I joined this forum, it's about time I get to making a boss thread.
Since I don't want to make a wall of text, you can view them here.

I'll just throw in my latest creation since this is a boss thread, after all.

Atomic Vault Specter

This is my entry for the A70M1C Tribute Contest at the Unofficial Fraxy Forums.
I based it off of my Specter's Airship boss, which was based off of a boss from Ape Escape 1.
There's also a hard mode, but you'll have to watch the video to figure it out if you're stuck.

I'll just go and leave a concise summary for each of them.

Noctalos Arachne: Pretty decent for a beginner. I don't really have anything else to say with this one.

Noctalos Swarm: What would've been better with this one is the vulcan-rolling parts not be invincible. The core's HP is already high enough, and the invincible parts make it a chore to hit and would have taken a long time in taking the core down.
In short, it got boring fast.

Noctalos Colony Achilles: The design on this one is better than the previous two, for starters. However, the attacks are a bit too easy to dodge.

Noctalos Fleet: The over soll helps a bit in taking down the enemies faster, but it still takes a while due to some enemies are hidden beneath others. Also, you could have just used deploy cores instead of big cores that instantly blow up. Just throwing that out there if you plan on making more drone fleet bosses.

Energy Matrix: Again, there really shouldn't be too much health with energy walls protecting the core. ._.

Altalian Wheel of Fate: This one's all right, it's just that due to the core's behavior and the size of the boss, hitting it can be a bit tricky. At least the health isn't higher than it needs to be.

And, last but not least:

Tranchoral Apocalypse I: Short and simple. It's all right for a first boss if you're working on a TRY, but the amount of bullets and lasers should be a bit less if that's the case.

Overall, you've got a decent first step into boss-making.

- Added a number of decorative parts.

- The Event "to change the ranking shift value of the part," added.
- The Event "to change the ranking of the shift effect" is added.
- The Event "to change the kill count flag" is added.
- The Event "to change the type of collision," added.
- Added players to the event-related changes.
- Flags of the effector (ex1) scroll effect (and 4096) added.
- Flags of the Sword effector (ex1) scroll effect (and 4096) added.
- Added scrolling effect of free-play settings.
- Added a player's ranking player settings.
- Adjust the balance of each player type.
- Other minor bug fixes.


Short version: New TRY functions, events, parts, and various other things that I can't be bothered to mention.

We'll see by the end of the week, probably. (Edit: He has three of the series-related enemies already uploaded. My case still stands, I guess.)

Also, Violence, what is the series about, exactly? Do you have a story already planned, or will you just make it up as you go?

What do you mean by "bullet hell game" do you mean FPS, TPS or TouHou like game?
