Ohoho! What have I found here? A base for Kanbei's Troops! I shall deploy a mountain of troops!
WWN's Syogun Change, its a subforum of the website I run, solely dedicated to hacking AW games (Mostly AW2). It's full of interesting documents and offsets and anything (Mostly for the US dump, which I've got a cleanser patch ripped from my own cartridge). You can guest reply if you want as well. I'd check out the sticky topics, despite some of them being out of date. Anything else, talk to me. |

I resent Starcraft being called a strategy game.
It's a tactics game, through and through. |

You've got it arse-backwards.
Tactics = Micro Strategy = Macro. Starcraft is all about Micro. |

Posted by witeasprinwowPosted by Xenesis Resource management will always be important to a degree. In any game with resources. A player in Starcraft with superb micromanagement skills will always be far more efficient than those with average micromanagement skills and good economic skills. Strong management of skills like Lockdown, Psionic Storm, etc. while manoeuvring troops, detectors, etc. tends to win the skirmishes and allow more economic harassment. A good micromanager inflicts untold damage in comparison to a poor one. Making up for economic disadvantages.
Eg, this was my point. It's more than enough to counter the fact that the enemy might have an extra zealot or two. |

Well, I guess we're in trouble if Korea decides to 1337 micro rush us. |

I have this habit of saying 'to the 'object'-mobile!' whenever I intend to go somewhere. Eg, going home so I go to the bus stop: To the Bus Stop Mobile!
Yeah. ; Unknown objects are usually referred to as 'thingy-majiggy' Pizza rolls (Those bread rolls with ham, cheese etc. on top) are universally called 'Bacon Bread' by my family. My default adjective for when I can't think of a more useful one is always 'delicious'. Uh, that's all I can think of for now. |

Posted by Kyoufu KawaPosted by AlexARIt's a remake of the GBA games, running on the GBA. You get a demo game, full source and a set of editors/converters/rippers and stuff. Just add devkit. Wait, it works on a GBA? Okay, you just emptied an entire bottle of awesomesauce into this. I'd so use this, rather than my epic pokemon hack instead. |

Hey, I live in Australia.
Games that would get an R18+ (Equivalent to your AO I guess) are denied sale, regardless of what Ninty or Sony would say about it. Kinda stupid considering we have R18 movies, but... ; So...I guess I don't see what all the fuss is about. |

Hey, I do have to ask though...how difficult would it be to change the Accuracy/Damage system that pokemon uses?
I've got an idea relating to damaging attacks and accuracy (Eg, all attacks hit, accuracy determines the variance of the damage the attack does from it's base 15% randomness, so Zap Cannon with 50% accuracy would vary between 50% x 85% and 100% x 100% damage. Non-damaging attacks just use the acc% as success% like it currently does) that I was planning on hacking into Sapphire, but I was wondering how easy'd it be. |

Posted by Kyoufu KawaPosted by XenesisNot too difficult. I'd guess that'd be in battle.c ^^; Oh come on, it wouldn't be THAT hard. Rewriting a damage formula's easy. |

How very strange.
I bought Simcity on the Virtual Console and Dr. Wright as an assist gets announced the same day. ._. Still, Dr. Wright is awesome. |

Hmm, I have to say I'm not terribly enthralled by this. Most of the routes look incredibly similar to the original ones. |

I personally think that including all 386 Pokemon is a BAD thing. It's completely unnecessary and only seems to spoil diversity by making you think 'I've gotta put Deoxys...somewhere!'
And that's like 20 legendaries to catch. Jeezum Crow. You're much better off choosing a set of 100 to 150 appropriate pokemon. I mean, if you based a hack on the Sahara Desert, you're not gonna put tons of Ice Pokemon in. ; If it's thematic, people won't care that you don't have all of the little bastards. |

Along with the moves theme, adding new moves should be completely straightforward, correct?
Secondly, there shouldn't be a hard limit to pokemon evolutions per pokemon like in RSE, right? So if someone was really really bored they could actually give Eevee 17 evolutions to each type? Thirdly - New traits? Easy or no? |

So, what exactly does that mean? To be compatible I can't add more potential traits to an individual pokemon or I can't add new trait effects and replace them on a pokemon easily? Eg, Clefairy having Cute Charm -> Cute Charm/Magic Guard or Rhydon from Lightning Rod/Rock Head -> Lightning Rod/Solid Rock or something like that? |
