That doesn't allow to view the whole video, afaik. Only some screenshots of it, and its description and all...

My guess: when a video is deleted, it's deleted. It's like when a thread on a forum gets deleted.

but generally (here, at least. not quite sure about other fora), threads get closed and thrown into a trashcan subforum, not actually deleted. so I'm not sure if that's the best comparison

Generally, yeah.
But I recall having seen, not so far ago, spam threads (Happy Face) from some user, in trash. And now they aren't anymore in trash. There are also some posts of another spam user (RPM), that have been deleted. In those cases, you can't recover them.

my guess is that they were moved to another "trash can", just one you can't see

layout looks really good GM, and I agree about the randomly placed rocks/clouds/etc. I don't know of anywhere to upload a PHP script, though. have you tried the google machine? (meaning Google, if that wasn't entirely clear )

I love the idea for this thread, I'm surprised I hadn't made something like it

that aside, I know there are games where I felt this way, but none specifically come to mind. I'll go mull it over and see what I can come up with.

On the opposite side of this coin are games everyone loved but you hated, there's a few instances where I felt this way. One being Resident Evil 4; I didn't like the controls, it didn't keep me interested, didn't amaze me like it seemed to everyone else, that kinda thing. A much better example was Bioshock. It wasn't as revolutionary and amazing as people made it seem. It had a shallow morality system that allowed for only 2 endings, an "open world", if your definition of open world is the ability to go back to earlier levels for no real reason. They also had an entire team working on the water effects, and I encountered a part where water was flowing up into the ceiling and disappearing. How do they let something like that get past them? People treated it as what it was promised to be, and not what it really was.

Granted, Bioshock was still a good game, it just wasn't as amazing as everyone acted like it was.

Krayzee, if you modify a part file to act how you want it to, then put the .fed of the boss up for download, it won't work properly in other people's versions of fraxy, either that or bring up an error that crashes fraxy entirely. if you wanted people to play it, you'd have to include a copy of the modified part file

Pretty nifty, though I don't see a lot of utility in it.

Nice looking bosses Cate. I'm playing each of these, and going to give you a first-impression review, how's that sound?

Tape Worm: Very simple, but a nice use of tail parts. I never actually got into a situation where the boss wrapped around me like in your screenshot, so it felt like I was mostly boosting in a straight line to keep just ahead of it so I could hit its core with the mg. I'd say tone down on the vulcans a bit, and maybe add some homing lasers to help balance out the loss of vulcans and up its difficulty. I'd also suggest, if you're any good with extra parameters, to make the sonic blasts longer, and pull you in. It'd be much more likely for something like your screenshot to occur then. I encountered a small glitch. Near the very end of the fight, the boss went completely stiff. The tail flag must have gotten turned off somehow. Overall, pretty good for a beginner boss. 3/5

Clockwork: Love the visual effects done with the barriers, even if it caused a bit of lag. I felt that there could have been more firing while you were destroying the barriers, though. At least make the energy eggs a tad more frequent. I would almost put some energy eggs that would fire from the barriers, like having some that are in the last barrier on each "arm". Also, tone down the durability of the barriers. They took way too long to destroy. The additional weapons and such that were added on once the barriers were gone was a pleasant surprise, though the boss as a whole was very easy. Overall, I like it, it's just a bit easy. 4/5

Atomic Spinwheel: I'm not quite sure what to say, this was amazing. It was visually impressive, fun, definitely kept you on your toes, and the multiple stages were very well done. I wasn't expecting the fight to last as long as it did, but I was happy it did. Fantastic job, my favorite of the bunch so far. 5/5

Cube: Very cool concept and execution. took me a second to figure out what I had to do, but it wasn't that difficult to find out hehe. I'd love to see this regenerating block method used on a larger stationary boss. The fact that it moved made it very difficult to survive at times, and I ended up just drilling a straight opening to the core, firing at it, and boosting out before it turned. Pretty fun, and I liked the final stage (not spoiling anything for other people who'll play it). Great concept and execution, it just feels a bit odd having a boss completely centered around just this. 3/5

There ya go, all good bosses. I didn't grade you against Eboshidori, Atomic, or the like, as that would have been unfair haha. The ratings I gave you were based off how I felt about my early bosses, and the bosses I've played from other newcomers. Needless to say, you're pretty damned good for someone so green. Keep up the good work.

The biggest utility in this is that it basically gives me 12 control buttons, for the price of 3 pins.

Not bad considering I have only 16 pins in total to work with. I could probably even make this PC-compatible using some extra code.

oooh, I hadn't noticed that. very nice. I just saw that it was an SNES controller hooked up to an LCD screen that showed when the buttons were pressed hehe

is a game is based on a movie, it's pretty much destined to be horrible. there have been a scarce few exceptions to this rule, so few in fact that none come to mind at the moment.

Wasn't Goldeneye on the N64 based off the movie (at least to a certain extent it was)?

technically, I think so. that's why I said they're pretty much destined to be awful, it's not a complete guarantee. I honestly didn't care for that game much myself, though

Last Friday, I finished the game Persona 3. It was a spectacular game. I loved the story, the characters (well, the characters they wanted you to love, anyway), and the gameplay itself. It also has the most perfect ending. I put in somewhere between 85 and 90 hours, and it was all worth it. I highly recommend playing this if you haven't already.

Now, have any of you played this? If so, what did you think of it? If not, have you even heard of it before now? Have you played any of the other Persona games, or Shin Megami Tensei games in general?

Imagine plays NOTHING like Persona. The only similarities would be spell names and the Shin Megami Tensei name. Same goes for Nocturne.

I'd say $30 is TOTALLY worth it. Especially if it's FES, which is the kinda special edition, which has extra features, including an extra 30+ hour epilogue. Beware, though, the epilogue (called "The Answer") is WAY more difficult than the original game (called "The Journey"). It's a really tough to find game, and a very, very good one at that, so the $30 pricetag is understandable.

Yeah, I'm kinda disappointed with the mosts as well. I was hoping there'd be more people voting... or at least have the people that did vote go back and vote on more categories.

You kidding? Only Nintendo? SO many companies mess with games when they're localized and ported. Hell, look at Persona and Persona 2. Both had sprites and entire characters changed. Persona 2 was even split up into 2 games originally, but they only ported one of them over to the US!

As to the "why?" for this, I have no idea. People are stupid, I guess
