I just can't see it going very far at all. Has no one learned from Baby Bob? |

None of these posts are valid until all y'all go out and listen to the Afghan Whigs's 1965. It's probably their most consistent album, but there's some seriously good streaks on other albums (especially the whole run from "My Enemy" to "Honky's Ladder" on Black Love). If you're not so into the soul influences on 1965, then Gentlemen might be up your alley. It's probably just as good, but there's nothing that quite hits the peaks of "Citi Soleil", "John the Baptist", or "Somethin' Hot". |

Oh man, this is going to be SO much fun... because I'm getting my wisdom teeth yanked the day before and I am NOT missing the draft, even if I'm up to my eyeballs in painkillers. |

It's a sterility issue. I last gave just under a year after I got my tragus piercings, and they just asked about if I'd gotten them done with sterile needles. I had, and that satisfied them. Think as long as it's been a year, you're good.
Of course, it doesn't stop me from getting light-headed at the end. I think it's because I'm kind of a power bleeder. I can fill up that sack in half the time it takes yinz. And for the record, I believe I'm O+. I'm definitely type O, if the card's to be believed. |

Well, it's official, I'm now the oldest person I know to get their wisdom teeth removed. Just had the surgery this morning, and I'm busy being all swoll now. Who remembers them getting theirs out? And if their insurance company done raped 'em on the payment? Mine didn't pick up much, as my co-pay was just over $1,500 (!). I'll have to have a chat with them, once I don't have gauze wedged in my teeth.
EDITOR'S NOTE: They had to come out at some point. I should've taken a picture of the X-rays (as my tragus piercings are the clearest things in them) because the bottom two were at about a 45º angle and the top two were crowding the others. Really impacted, needless to say. (Also, we can edit posts? WHOOOOOO) |

Posted by KasdarackPosted by Colin Eh, can't fault them for wanting to make money. As far as I know (I haven't even so much as seen a Wii that wasn't a display model) the GC exploits, with some changes, will work. Same architecture, for the most part. |

An OG GBA for $8 reigns supreme, alongside the GBA SP for $20. But that's nothing compared to the entire contents of a Salvation Army's video game section for $20. |

Aww, missed this because I was too busy driving all over Connecticut that day. Fencing champeenships in Griswold (which, if you're semi-familiar with the lay of our land, is about 10 miles east of Norwich, AKA in the sticks), back to New Haven/civilization. Although I was dooma to the Goombas when I jumped Marionically that day. |

Good news, bad news:
Bad news: I got 11 of the first-round matchups wrong. Good news: I also only had one of them, Duke, winning in the second round. Final Four's Wisconsin, Kansas, Georgetown, and Ohio State, and I've got Ye Olde Hoyas beating Kansas in the champeenship game. Sounds reasonable, yes? |

Posted by Colin Happened to me as well. The 15-minute rule kicked in on many occasions during my sportswriting class... which meant that I showed up for an 8:45 AM class more often than the professor. Needless to say, he didn't last the whole semester. |

...aww. Anyway, I guess the guy had a clause in his contract saying he wasn't allowed to do that sort of thing, and he did. I've got to say the ad was done well, but I'm sure he'll land on his feet. Anyway, THIS DOES NOT BELONG HERE AND NEEDS MOVEMENT. |

Posted by Anya Does it involve something that was specifically said, in Clerks 2, to be one of those things that's Just Not Done? Don't see how that's a fireable offense. But I'm guessing it isn't. |

Old, but "You damned fool." in Bionic Commando. Figured that was too hardcore for Nintendo's censorship policies back then. |

"Hey, Grandpa, what are you doing?"
"Pwning n00bz." Heard about this article on the way in to work this morn-erm, afternoon. It seems that Nintendo was on to something with the whole "Touch Generation" line for the DS, as seniors (and those about to enter that stage) are increasingly playing video games. And more and more, they're playing Nintendo products, especially the Wii: Dick Norwood, 61, a semi-retired businessman who lives in a community for residents 55 and older in Crest Hill, Ill., spotted the Wii in a mall in December. After playing Wii bowling with two other couples at home, he persuaded Giovan’s, a local Italian restaurant, to begin a "seniors only" Wii bowling league, where nine couples now show up every Thursday. "When I started calling people about it, they had no idea what I was talking about, and they were laughing at me saying, ‘You want to start a bowling league on a video game in a bar?’" he said. "Well, we got there the first time, and we were there for six solid hours. In the past, I probably would have agreed that video games are just for kids. But I’ll tell you, at our age when you bowl for real, you wake up with aches and pains. Those balls aren’t light. But with this you’re getting good exercise, but you’re not aching the next day." They're not exactly throwing down in, say, your average FPS, but going towards less complicated games like Bejeweled and, well, Wii Sports. So that's who's been buying all the Wii's... |

Posted by Colin Yeah. Every single team that plays them. (Upon further review, this would've been funnier if they hadn't already been owned by the rest of the league. ) |
