Did you format the drive FAT32?
If I remember right, Windows XP cannot create a FAT32 partition larger than 32gig. It can work with fat32 partitions that are larger but cannot make them. I do all my partitioning with gparted under Ubuntu and it supports a plethora of file systems and operations. Try using the gparted livecd http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php The benefit being you can partition it on the same computer, and you can make 3 primary partitions in case it's a limitation of your bios. Hope that helps ya and good luck! |

i'm not going to advertise a product here, so just google
midi to usb My sister is the one into composition, but I do recommend M-audio products, as we have bought a couple and they run well with Linux. As for those of us stuck on laptops. If you listen to midi, I use timidity++ and a nice soundfont. Makes midis sound pretty darn good (although I don't listen to midis as much as I used to...) |

Just a tweaked Clearlooks theme, it's not too bad I think.

Like it a lot. I think Zelda II is underrated (and similarly to Faxanadu, a hack of that would be great...)
It works perfectly in mednafen 0.8.9 (on Ubuntu 8.10 beta). Anyway, going to try out the new patch. I admit to playing the easy version... And I'm totally lost, but it's part of the fun. Yay candle and JUMP! |

Okay these are really general...
Retro-rom hack: Essentially, 8-bit-ify some SNES games to their NES counterparts. For example, a legend of zelda link to the past hack, with zelda style 1 graphics, and and more synthetic sounding music. Large sprites, still in 8-bit style, with just general extras and improvements, but truly having 8-bit flare... Sequels that should have been: Kid Icarus II? Bionic Commando II (although I guess there is remake or something and the gameboy color, but whatever) Cosmo Police Galivan II (well that exists for snes, but it is horrible, and nothing like its famicom counterpart...) Making games that suck, no longer suck: The NES has a wide variety of top notch games. Some however, are awful. Either fix the gameplay, story line, palette, graphics (asm hacks for another mapper perhaps), levels, music, sfx, etc. Make it fun to play, "revivify" that old awful game. More female leads: Self-explanatory, female heroines are in short supply on the NES. Let Link get kidnapped, or the lead character in an RPG be a girl. Say bye to Frionel and hello to Maria. |

This is so awesome! I played through (and died over and over with Chill Penguin...)
Little things: A few grammatical errors... Mostly your/you're (although it feels more authentic, Capcom and those localizations...) The bunnies didn't hurt me. The snowball thrower gets a little garbled during part of the animation when megaman is moving. I really love how you "ported" X and friends into the NES megaman universe. A truly advanced looking hack. Tested in mednafen 0.8.A on Ubuntu 8.10. |
