In SRPII, how does one open those locked doors in Hotel Horror? I keep grabbing the Key thing on the 7th floor (I consider it the 7th floor, but its location is accessed from the 8th), but all that happens is it's "collected" like a coin, and nothing happens. If I leave and come back, it's back. If it's the Locked Door thing, I'm stumped. Perhaps I'm looking for the wrong locked door? I've tried the ones on Floors 1 and 10, but....

Nevermind, I got it. The key was, of course, only for one door. But you obviously have to get it TWICE in order for the bit to be set correctly.

Lol, you made those Fuzzies look like they're not only on coffee or something, but also on crack. They look crazier than normal! XD

Here's the answers to your questions!

1: The Display Level Message 1 sprite actually just sends you to the overworld at the very start of the game. It is only to be used in the intro level, which CAN NOT be accessed from the OW. However, press SHIFT+F9 and you can install an ASM hack that'll only do that on the intro level, and it simply acts like a normal Message Block message on all others. However, if you do that, if Mario starts on a submap, you must use Level 1C5 for the intro level instead of C5.

2: No, it is not cancelled. Blackhole89 is still working on it, from what I heard.... You could always PM him, you know. He's here.... And he could give you some info on it, maybe. But I heard that it's going SLOW. :/ So yeah, don't expect to be able to use it for a while, maybe.

Bio, if this is real, here's a suggestion: Why not make it add a dustcloud behind Mario when the move is used? It doesn't really look right when he's just.... sliding like that. Oh yeah, and nice video.

I liked it, but for some reason, it was a bit... contrast-y for me.... I had a hard time reading what was on the little boxes on the background, for some reason. Or maybe it was because it was late. Anyways, I sign the petition, too.

Hey Peardian, if you make another Flash, why not make one that could possibly be "played" like an actual game? Like with the two KvSG ones you just posted? When I clicked the first one and saw it, I was SOOO hoping it'd be like a Kirby-tised version of SMB that I could play.

Well, might as well. I got the desktop background from Catmas, which I absolutely LOVE. I mean... It's got funny pictures of CATS, for Pete's sake! XD

http://img292.imageshack.us/img292/8351/kittydesktopbr7.png

Yes, I'm cat/kitten-obsessed. (Even worse, I nearly cried a few times when I saw all those cute kitties in TP... And then they MEOWED. XD) So yeah, I love kittens the most, as shown by my desktop background. They are SO cute!

And no, your eyes do not decieve you- This is Windows XP and I DO surf the internet with IE. Hey, they work for me.

Questions? Comments?

....Why is there a Time Bomb where the banner was? Is it the new Doomclock? What is happening? Are we changing to a new server or something?

Man, it's Xk's birthday today? Happy birthday to you, then.

(And thanks for the fish theme, too.)

....And sorry if that was a bit lame, it was the only thing I could think of to say.

2006-06-06 was my cousin's 15th birthday

O_o Odd. That was MY 15th birthday, too. IS THIS A COINCIDENCE?! :o

....No seriously, my birthday WAS 6-6-06 last year, and it WAS my 15th birthday. XD That's just creeping me out a bit, knowing that your cousin and I not only had the same birthday last year, but we're both the same age. Freaky.

Holy shit this is awesome in a can.

Quoted for truth.

I played the demo, and I have to say, THIS IS FREAKING AWESOME! I guess this means we're one step closer to getting bigger levels, huh? One needs only manipulate this... Hey, that makes me wonder... Could there be an unused sprite that makes the level go from vertical to horizontal? Hey, if there's one to make it go from horizontal to vertical, there's GOT to be one to make it go the other way around, right?

I still use IE6. I was never fond of the way FF loads pages for some reason; hard to explain. I'm just more familiar with IE6.

Wow, I use IE6, too, and I feel perfectly safe with it. O_o I don't know why, but I do. Maybe it's because I got one little virus and the moment I got it, it was destroyed. Now here's the kicker- Norton Anti-Virus destroyed it. Yes, that which I consider most annoying on my MOM'S computer actually WORKS on my laptop. Pop-ups? Only on a VERY few websites. Ones I rarely ever go to, even. Do I simply have a false sense of safety? Is IE6 REALLY safe for me? Or is it.... NORTON actually being a GOOD program for once? Only time will tell.... (And don't tell me to switch browsers- Trust me, it's always ended in a lot of flaming, so to speak. )

But that makes the pipe one-way only. Try out the SMB3 pipes custom blocks made by MikeyK or SpelWerdsRite (SWR). They work just like they should, with some glitches. But hey, don't ALL custom blocks have glitches?

THIS JUST IN!!

Well, I once said that I liked IE6 way too much, and that I'd never use another browser.... It wasn't here, but in chat for another website... Anyways... I had actually been considering this for a while, but never really did it...

I've switched to Firefox now.... And I'm actually kinda GLAD I did, too. So.... Anyone have any idea what all this thing can do?

Here's a good question. (And please, don't ban me for this...)

Wasn't there a rule at the last board that you couldn't post links to ROMs in public (like in a thread), but it was perfectly okay to do so in a PM? If so, does that rule still apply to here or not?

This hack looks so stupid and hard, it's FUNNY. XD I love watching this person try valiantly to get past the obstacles, only to die a painful death... Especially the deaths by Firebars. XD But I wonder... Why does Mario always pop up into the air at the starting of the level?

Hmmmm.... Hey guys, to those of you who use Firefox, have any of you happened to have a few problems getting certain smilies to show right? Like, on a few other forums I go to, the picture for one smilie is replaced with another, and the pics for the buttons to make tags appear also seem to be jumbled up with the pics used for the smilies. Any idea how to fix that?

Edit: Scratch that, it was a problem with either my cookies or my Cache. I cleared both, then checked, so.... Don't know which was the problem. But anyways, this is no longer a problem anymore.
