To list an overall pro and con of the editor:

PRO: EVERYTHING...is easy to understand, and at the same time, noobproof. It's a legitimate editing tool made with the utmost ease available.

CON: (This is important): LEVEL EDITOR TILE LAYOUT. Everything is a scary mess.

The only gripe I have is finding out which tiles go where (Took me a good day to just make the 1st Bowser Castle Room BARE...I carefully, painstalkingly set every tile with the utmost precision).

Perhaps, to update the beta, have the tiles for each mapset (L1-L3) be set up in a way that all respective tiles be aligned near each other (Floorsets with floorsets, walls with walls, doodads with doodads). Placing them is no prob. Finding which tiles go where...is honestly, scary danger.

That's it from my part. Stats is perfect, Event editor is perfect (And requires ASM knowledge), and Sprites is fun to play with. Level editor is 98% perfect (The 2% is the killer mess of unorderly tiles).

Thanks again Omega.

Scripting and Levels are solid. (Levels are still scary to assemble, but I can manuver through it)

We'll see what happens.

There's a bug:

-Right after you beat Johhny, when the star sequence is playing, right when it's supposed to end the event, the game freezes, indefinitely.

Solution?

What version of ZSNES are you using?

If you're using 1.51, SMRPG and that version doesn't get along too well. It's best to use 1.36 or 1.41/1.42 for the hack.

"Ouch!"

Thanks Waddler-D.

...proceeds to download Zsnes 1.42

===
EDIT
===

Back again.

Right after I beat Valentina, the battle still continues on. Whatever move I make, it freezes.

Also, at the beginning, Dodo doesn't show up to fly one of my party members away. Perhaps a bug error?

-Tried using Zsnes 1.51
-Tried using Zsnes 1.42

Both the same.

?

P.S: I like the bosses. You've actually made SMRPG expert-friendly. lol

Looking good, I need to work more on my wads, but every time I try to make something like a decorate object or anything it doesn't work for some reason O_o...;

If you mean Decorate as in "Custom Monsters"....

...I may be able to help you with that. .

GRID MAP:

The grid doesn't do the map justice. You should see the lower right hand octagon room in 3D! Oh man will that be a sight.

Upon completion of map, I MAY...upload a vid.

Until then, sit tight.

Just realized that too.

I took a look in the Fraxy forum, and it seemed like the place to be to put misc. game work.

If you'd prefer to have it moved there, go for it. .
Wasn't sure where to post the thread.

3 things.

1)SMWC is safe. Do not worry. We have backups.

2)Read this:

http://sigmahacker.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=woi&thread=18&page=1

This is the "supposed" truth behind the attack.

3)Arbe, you'd make a great Microsoft Executive...

P.S: I will provide no further commentation. Thank you.

Thanks fellas. Guess it can work either way.

Also, map wise:

http://img104.imageshack.us/img104/5329/supermap1.png

Too big for an img src, but that's the outline.

Actual screenies are still in the works, as most of the areas need some sprucing up.

Hopefully it'll turn out well.

There is a power center of awesome within every individual, and I know from experience (Because if I was not the son of god I would not have been saved) that any flux can cause catastrophic destabilization, and would destroy not only you but your entire city, and the flying spaghetti monster (My father) will rape the corpses. Do you want to be raped when your dead? Didn't think so. No mind fap for you

I agree.

Also, long time no see Board 2.

Heeey.

Let's just say...a lot of people from my side of town are also getting interested in this. This can provide a LOT of fun new combinations for Mario hacking, and can end up more versatile than SMW hacking.

While I'm not good at coding or finding ROM values, I can spread word and get massive attention on this. So, in light of this, I'll bring hype, and try to get more people interested.

Just downloaded the editor, and fiddling with the setups.
Let's see what can come of this...

Squall (FF8).

I keep to myself, I'm reserved, I tend to force a leadership role in everything, and I'm unaware of how I treat people around me.

Hello Board2. Long time no speak.

For members who frequent SMWC: Yes I'm making a hack
For members who do not frequent SMWC much: Wanted to share.

SMW 2.0 (Title tentative)
Re-designing SMW under an alternative light.

-All GFX and Palettes will remain "vanilla" (With the possible exception of learning how to mix vanilla GFX within levels, as seen in many other hacks).

-There will be custom music, added as per the creations found in the music section of SMWC.

-I may use some ASM patches to tweak minor stuff such as health and coin routines, implement an air meter for water, remove two player functionality, and, if possible, introduce some new gameplay mechanics akin to some other user's creations (Which may be mentioned should I have an interest to implement something like that in the near future).

_____________________________________________________________________

The Start Of Level 1

Under A Bridge

Over A Bridge

Bootleg Antenna

Some Other Part Of Level 1

Cave ++

Sag made a vine bottom

Mean, isn't it?
_____________________________________________________________________

The Thread Will constantly be updated, as I leverage the time needed to complete this project. The timeframe is within 6-7 months, if not a bit longer, but it will be complete.

Thank you for your patronage.

Good to be here, and time to kick it.

Religious, no. Spiritual, yes.

I am a devout Christian, with complete faith in Christ and my heavenly father.

Conversely, I believe that, regardless of religion, if you have faith, and use that faith to uplift and help others, then all religions, in one form or another, are correct, since all faith centers towards 1 main creator.

I will say this though. Atheism, ironically, is a belief system in itself. It is the belief...of having no belief.
