if any of you guys have any links to sites with ips files and projects and such for rockman and megaman hacks please list them here. I am in the process of adding files, links and known hacks together and would appreciate any info. I am finding more and more hacks everyday, i ran across a pretty decent rockman 1 hack called "Light's Rescue".

been doing alot of searching, came across another great looking romhack by the name of Rockman-L or something to that affect.
anyone have this or have played this? |

apparent on the link on the first page for rockman the mystery of wily link he is about to put an ips patch up if anyone wants to know.
Also thanks kuja for all the help and the link you sent me. I am still working on my rockman hack and might have an ips patch soon though i know this is slightly off topic in this thread.

looks like the author for rockman myster of wily put a page to download the ips patch but i cant seem to locate the ips patch itself.

thanks for the info kuja, my comp is having a hard time translating things for me, it crashes when i use altivista.
Either way im gonna keep an eye on this one and if you see anymore site's please do post them here in this thread. I'll be sure to update it whenever i see new hacks come out. Also thanks again for sending me the hacks a while back, i still have not finished them.

thanks for the link again!! not a bad hack, its a little awkward because its not really a rockman game, but not bad, i didnt mind playing through it for a little while, the sound effects to krion conquest has always cracked me up!

wow i must say i feel really let down after reading about this game. Im not slack talking midway for no reason, but surely they can do better than milk the mortal kombat nipples a little better than that.

Does anyone know about speed/timing disabling hacking for genesis roms? im trying to get soldiers of fortune to run in gens correctly without graphical glitches on the screen, this is an issue that goes back to the emu, not the rom but the game uses vdp latency (fifo accurate timing) and i was thinking maybe i could try hacking the rom with a hexeditor to disable or hack the timing and see what happens.
if anyone has any info that might help, please let me know. I know i could use another emu easy to solve this problem, but i want it on gens. I have posted this question other places but i thought i would enquire here as well. thanks!

ok found something that might help, but is there a way to hex edit a rom so the emu will skip some vram cycles?

Has anyone had any trouble getting the rock2-e editor for megaman 2 to work? I keep getting an hsp error but it's in japanese so i cant understand it.
I know there is a number 12 at the end of the error message but if someone who has used this before can help me i would greatyly appreciate it. I am running it on windows xp so i cant think of anything else that i could be doing wrong, im using a clean rockman 2 rom as well. |
