I got a new computer this week, and ever since then, the hack has done shit I have never seen before. I don't even know if it can be fixed

Just like to note that while I like the design of your overworlds, I noticed they lack a lot of detail. I'd recommend adding some more detail, rocks, or trees, or something

As for the levels themselves .. they look ok. Nothing that stands out in particular as exciting, but they look fine for now. Good job on the title screen though, that looks nice.

Yeah, SNT beat me to it

For those who haven't tried this hack, I highly, highly recommend it. It actually -feels- like a sequel, as opposed to Yoshi's Island DS. Not only that, it has Poochey in 1-6. And who the hell can resist that.

What can I say? You took the criticism given excellently and made your overworlds look great. The main overworld map just looks great now - I detect no graphical flaws

For the 5th submap (forest) it seems to symmetrical to me. Unless this is intended, you should probably kill the symmetry.

Other then that, great job.

Change the BG palette in screenshot 3 to a working one, because that one looks a tad strange. Also, it looks like the swinging monkies in that screen are floating in mid-air. I would suggest moving them to a block to make it look like they are hanging.

Durrrrr, fixed Typo changes the link.

And yes guys, it's also stated in the read me - "Yoshi's Island (V1.0) (U).smc". You need to patch it to that, like every other Yoshi's Island hack.

Top one is looking better then before, but it lacks the shading it should have. I think there are really only two compatible *window* background palettes, and those are the red one from 6-4, and the blue one in most other levels. The second one .. I seriously don't think I've ever seen that in the original, or I just can't tell what it is No comment there, but something about the trees looks a bit iffy to me.

The main bugs I noticed in the screens are grammar bugs. If you want it to make sense, it should say "Last time, the Princess was..." instead of "The Princess last time was..."

Also, in the second text box, it says "your" when it should say "you're". Just being a bit nitpicky, but I figured you would want it to be flawless, so yeah

It worked fine in ZSNES for me - I never bothered with SNES9x. Who knows, maybe it does have something to do with that

Aside from the Forest of Illusion on the right side, the rest of it looks pretty good. Some of the edges seem a bit square to me though - mainly around the lower middle grassy area, and the top. You might want to round these out a bit.

Going left to right..

1. Creative idea. I have to agree with Higsby - the fence really doesn't fit in. Not so much the ghost house, but the fence looks kind of weird.
2. I'm not really fond of this one. It just lacks detail and design skills in my opinion.
3. Seems a bit square to me, but the concept is good
4. This one looks cool. The slant looks neat, and the detail is used nicely.
5. Feels kind of like the original Forest of Illusion to me.
6. Very well done. Easily your most creative overworld. You should add a secret level in those trees or something

Overall: Pretty good, but as I pointed out, there are a few decor and design flaws.

I don't think he was talking about the whole OW in particular, I think he was refering to the glitchy rock tile on the right hand side.

I thought this overworld looked really good aside from that bug
