Yeah, I know exactly why that happens, and it's either one of two reasons, or both.
1) The song is too big. 2) The octaves are messed up. I believe it is this one .. when you type the command, does it give a whole bunch of numbers with ??????? lines next to them, and then it stops inserting? #2 is due to have o7s or lower than o1s. It's something I deal with quite regularily when editing the songs. To fix it, you'd have to go through the channels and do all the stuff manually. Looks different from your typical "Mario Party (high # here)" series, considering it's on the DS. I really hope it has online though, that would make me buy it.

I think everyone had it happen to them. If you clicked on your user ID while in that mode, it would take you to someone elses also.
