Posted by Purple_Poison You're welcome. It's not an issue, it's my pleasure to help. Posted by Purple_Poison Well... It can actually be edited via hex editing, descriptions and animations included. The reason it wasn't included, I assume, is because things need to be shifted around for it to be read properly in the game. The explanation: The pointers to these spell animation scripts are actually all laid out in the ROM, but there is no room for additional pointers, unless things are moved around a little. I can dabble into this so you may hear a fuller explanation, if you'd like. Oh, and to your actual question! My mistake, they are spells 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31. Posted by Purple_Poison Nope nope, no magic number, sadly! It's best to use trial and error. Edit: On your most recent issue, it's due to the sprites not being set to priority 3. Change the Action #: to 12 for now, since it's a pretty widely used script. ____________________ Layout by Erik557 & LDA.

Turns out the link has been dead for a long time. I managed to have found a backup on my computer of the original zip. Here is the link:

Posted by Termingamer2-JDPosted by xK_ If any links are dead, please tell me and I will update them. All the patches on the list are backed up in one zip, which can be found here. (This file is also on the top of the hack list, too) If there is any way to sticky this thread that would be amazing. It's been around for like, 5 years and hasn't been stickied yet! Then again, I never did ask. Might as well put it out here now! ____________________ Layout by Erik557 & LDA.

Posted by Termingamer2-JD Yeah, it's kind of a way to spread the word so SMRPG hackers can do something together. I've been helpful and not-so-helpful in this field, this is just one attempt to help out the community of hackers interested in this game. Whether we get anyone to participate or not is not really the mission, but rather to bring people together, to hack the game or anything else. Who is cderp4? I would love any help that comes our way! ____________________ Layout by Erik557 & LDA.

Thank you! My wish for the holiday season is definitely to see some people come by, or even ROM hackers. Even if it is to test the waters of Lazy Shell and SMRPG hacking. Anyway that's my wish!
A collaboration? That sounds... complicated. It may be a good time for me to start brushing up some ideas for holiday hacks, and perhaps I could do one or two different hacks to get the season cheer out, or at least pretend to? Seriously the record of hacks is minimal but the potential is always there for there to be greater hacks, it just needs time and direction. You said "my forum's community", which forum community are you also apart of? ____________________ Layout by Erik557 & LDA.

Hey, I kind of forgot about updating this. My bad!
I'll include the old versions of Super Mario RPG Armageddon in the SMRPG ALL HACKS MAY 2018.zip. EDIT: It is updated now. Got them straight off ngplus.net, lol. Thanks Doomsday31415! ____________________ Layout by Erik557 & LDA.

I don't see why it can't be implemented. I mean, I did document a lot of the battle system already... Which I will link below.
http://acmlm.kafuka.org/uploader/get.php?id=5334 (It's Giangurgolo's document that I added onto, by the way) I don't know what a "pure % crit and parry system" means. I'm curious. What does it mean? ____________________ Layout by Erik557 & LDA.

Hello! I am a passionate SMRPG hacker. If you don't know who I am, I am the guy who compiled a list of all SMRPG hacks available (which can be found here), and I have also bug tested LazyShell's earlier builds and now as of recent, I'm updating the source code to LazyShell v3.19.0.
The changelog is pretty small so far. I've only added a few things (changelog below), like some missing commands and features. You can get LAZYSHELL: UPDATED_EDITION here. ==CHANGELOG 2020-1-24==
------- I hope, in time, LazyShell will be even better than before! Thanks for reading, Happy Hacking! ____________________ Layout by Erik557 & LDA.

Hi there Adeleine! As an avid SMRPG hacker, I actually haven't done much to mod the overworld yet outside jump and speed to match something akin to Toad's jump from SMB2 (lower jump and faster running speed). I couldn't give you any advice to piece together how to make the overworld character float.
Sorry! Good luck in your endeavors! ____________________ Layout by Erik557 & LDA.

Posted by Adeleine Yeah, title screen is a little limited in the editor, but it is doable with some workarounds. All I can suggest is importing the title (or part of the title, with all colors you need) into the Sprites editor, then copy each color's HTML code from the Palette editor into a notepad. You'll be making it look the best it can look like via MS paint, importing the title into the Sprites editor, vice versa until you've achieved the desired look. At last, use the title screen editor to finish your assets. It is not an A to B slap-this-tag-on process. I know I'm probably not much help but these were the workarounds I've taken in making my title screens. Be inspired to teach yourself the editor, really have fun with it. ____________________ Layout by Erik557 & LDA.

Hey everybody,
I'm going to start uploading all the Super Mario RPG hacks I have on this list to RomHacking.net. This is due to accessibility, and flexibility of my life because it's gotten pretty busy. I'm still around, just not here to update the list! Contact me on Discord if you want. Best wishes everyone. ____________________ Layout by Erik557 & LDA.

OK so there was this annoying bug in the Dialogues editor that saved the Battle Menu GFX in the wrong place. So that's fixed. (Current version is 1.2.7)
I really dunno how much further I can go with this editor due to my inexperience with C++. So I'm going to school for it! Probably going to keep updating this over the next few years. We'll see. Happy New Decade! Best wishes. ____________________ Layout by Erik557 & LDA.

I saw this on a Paper Mario Discord via Twitter, and now you're here! Welcome! And Yeah, Sephiroth is great. Again, love how you did Supernova.
Those sprites are really spot-on! Kudos. For the animations, uhh... the editor does not make it easy. We really need a decompiler and reassembler for each and every pointer, because frankly it's kind of a mess with obj ques that use pointers... and man, it's just difficult. I mean, the most I can do to help you right this second is handing over my updated version of LazyShell that documents some missing commands for animations. It does not include that decompiler/assembler thing I was talking about, that's out of my reach right now. https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/1486/ ^This is it right here. ____________________ Layout by Erik557 & LDA.
