First, of all. I am not a fan of your level designing. And every level designer must encounter and fix bugs. Especailly the doors data either by hand with the level RAM data or the TSA editor. Pretty nice boss rooms designs but no game ever does that.

Sprite designers can be hard to look for. Ask Thantos-Zero or Mega Man Omega. They're professional spriters.

Comet Woman? That was MegaPhil X's sprite from Mega Man Unlimited.

and 'bout what you said that "every level designer must encounter and fix bugs" - maybe he doesnt know how to fix it? its not realy a "must do" thing if this is his first hack. it may not be as easy to do it with zero asm skills as it sounds like. nothing negative to you, iam just pointing out things you pointed out

i cant say much about your level design that matters since its realy a matter of taste. i dont like to put mega man in sonics or marios world since i think hes levels should be dark and/or hi tech fabriks/caves etc etc.. but thats a matter of taste. you decide! but i think you should work more on those ladders. are they suppose to look like ropes? i cant tell iam sorry to say =( . altough good work otherwise!

bright man! altough dust man is very cool. but if you do bright man, you have to make he's level very hi tech! =) with alot of flashing lights an' stuff like that

yeah, photon man is great. i wonder if they stole solar man from your hack since mega man forever seems like a better game then mega man 10.

yea i know, progress is not very great honestly.
I seriously gotta find a few more people that'd be willing to help out with just anything at all .. except for coding because coding is really the only thing im even good at doing.

Only got 1 real person helping out with graphics/level design partially/ideas, but i really hope to find a few others as well.

I seem to always keep finding the wrong people anytime i try.

** Googie quit rom hacking forever right at the time that i asked him.
** DurfarC may have helped out with music since he understands the megaman 3-6 format ...but ever since the day i talked to him and he would ...he hasn't logged onto acmlm ever since, i know i can always ask martixz and infidelity, but well they got their own hacks their busy with....so not just whenever i want.
** 2 people i've tried to ask for help on a story script for duplex and mm's conversation ...but neither of them seem to have any intrest to help me. ... i dont have story-telling skills of my own

just to name a few. :|

i cant ever find anyone for almost anything...


ahem. so you need people for what? level design? well.. you know how my levels are looking like in my first hack. if you are interested in having me to work on your hack, just send me a personal message. i understand if you dont want me to, you only want the absolutely best in your hack so i would respect that. but if you are interested, well... =)

its a very nice game. i understand that it has taken alot of time to do all this. the thing with the space ride in the beggining didnt realy feel mega man, but i liked it anyway. its a nice break from just playing platform level after platform level. the only thing i can complain about is that its a little bit to hard maybe. escpecially in the second part of duplex man. i dont know if i could contribute with anything to your hack because it deserves only the best level design.

What we need here is a Megaman Custom ASM Tutorial. Cause I sure don't have a damn clue on how to code asm. maybe infidelity, Matrixz, Kuja and insectduel can whip up a tutorial.


iam sorry but i dont think a tutorial will make you smarter when it comes to asm. it might even make you more confused

i think you should try to change the sounds in the mega man rom first before trying to hack in whole new songs.

Looks good so far! These tiles you're using are nice! So what made you have to restart so many times?

I can't say I haven't had to re-start my hacks a few times here and there, lol My Proto Man hack of Megaman 2 is on it's third round, and my hack of Megaman 4 is on it's second. So far, I'm pleased with what I've been able to do. If I could just find the time to dedicate to learning ASM, I'd be set!

Anyway, back on topic... looks good so far, and I for one enjoyed the first "Maverick Revenge". I recall it needing a bit of work here and there, but overall, a pretty good hack. Hope to see more progress on this one!


Thanx! Well i just couldnt make up anything that i were satisfied with. I have made maybe 5-6 levels that are now scratched and gone and I screwed around to much with the CSA from matrix so assembles of sprites were a mess.

I know there were alot of bugs in MR and also the hack was never realy finnished(the willy levels was something I never touched). Well the reason I didnt finnish it is just that I was so damn tired of it. It was my first hack so everything took a bit longer then it should have. I just wanted to let it go and start something else. This hack, I can promise you, will be finnished! And hopefully, alot less graphical glitches and stuff.

id like if my upcoming hack were mentioned there, maverick revenge 2. also if there is a database of finnished hacks there you can put up maverick revenge. altought, note that maverick revenge 2 maybe doesnt get finnished this year.

all you need to make a good hack is good skills and a hex editor. wich is both free to get.

beside no one has mentioned anything negative about your hack
