I found this really cool Pokémon hack by accident when I watch one of my own videos with my own hacks. It didn't take me long to find the IPS Patch of it. However, I also found the ROM (PrePatched) too, but it is not recommended because it may be an old version.
I really hate Uploader sites except There are at least 00's of YouTube posts on this hack. -snip- This hack has - Custom Music - Sprite Changes - Types and moveset changes - Gameplay changes - Unedited overworlds You need the Japanese Pocket Monsters Version 1.00 Fire Red, not Pokémon Fire Red US or other regions. Other Japanese Pocket Monsters Versions of Fire Red that isn't Version 1.00 also do not work. I could make the patch that uses the US Fire Red just for lazy people who can't find the Japanese Pocket Monsters Fire Red, but it's best not to give it to lazy people. Remember, you don't just play the game. YOU LIVE IT. |

I was wondering to ask. What about including SRAM in Megaman Powered Down. I remember Matrixz using it for MM5 Time Attack but you should use it for saving whenever a player beats the boss and already have the earned weapon. |

Hello and welcome to the community. You may already know me since I saw the TAS video of my hack. I've been doing Walkthorugh and TAS Speedruns recently on certain Megaman 2 and SMB1 hacks.
You done a lot a SMB1 hacks. Well, good. Board2's uploader is for beginners. I collect almost every SMB1 hack through each of the Japanese websites and host it in my own site. You course you may send yours into my homepage. I love to play SMB1 hacks which makes me one in the first place. Well, I used to get in SMB1 hacking but not for a while unless my Megaman 1 hack is completed. |

@Logical Operand
These graphics don't look like state of the art but at least it's decent. |

Damn, where they coming from. Are they just random users (Except Pi, I know this user) or what.
I would like to try some new Speedrun challenges if necessary. More of my Non-TAS Challenges of Rockman 2 dash will be uploaded into my account shortly this week. |

I’ve been researching the code about yesterday and took me a couple of minutes to insert the code into the US version of Megaman 1. I don’t know if anyone other than Assembly hackers know about this especially if you notice that Rockman 1 OR the US version of Megaman 1 used with Megaman anniversery collection is the only game with the sound when pressing start.
First off is to use your favorite hex editor and go to offset x1FA27 and change values to 00 and FF. Then go to offset x1FF10 (It has to be this offset) and insert the following values A9 1C 20 77 C4 20 4F C7 60. Then use the emulator to Play Megaman 1 and Press Start at the Title Screen. You will now issue the Title Screen Sound in the US version of Megaman 1. I’ve also done the same for the European version of Megaman 1 but the code is the same but it is at offset x1FA2D. However the code is SOMEWHAT different than the US version so instead of entering 00 and FF, enter 30 and FF before inserting any values in offset x1FF40. For some reason, when I looked at the 3 different Megaman 1 roms, only Rockman 1 gets the issue sound code and the other two are removed as seen one of my image here. It may possible to rearrange the code from the orginal code without putting it in an empty space depending if you’re editng the Title Screen in a certain way. Of course the issue sound code is memorized in my head. |

The oil tank and the blocks are quite good but everything else don't really look much. |

@KP9001 - I actually missed the whole thread sentence so It should have say " Megaman 1 Title Screen's Issue Sound code when pressing start" or if you have something more than that. And no, I will not make a patch for it. People must code it on their own. (Even by someone's request, I'm still not going to make an IPS Patch for it.)
I've been studying most of the sound subroutines by heart for almost a few months. But I never knew the idea would actually come in my head. @Netsplit - Once again, you did absolutely a genius to make stuff clear. I can use other addresses but mine is more likely closer to the actual data in the same bank memory just in case it may crash or something but chances of that it won't. |

I don't think I'm experienced with TAS stuff I don't really know except for Speed time. I did however, made a Smb2j hack with bugs and glithces but I never used it as Tool-Assistance.
Most of the time, I have to rely on Tool-Assistance to get the fastest times. It is the only 2-level hack I made with the fastest times without getting hit. |

Posted by DurfarC It's nice to see you again. I don't have Megaman 9 myself either but I don't know exactly when to buy myself a Wii. I'm still into ROM-Hacking even if I'm currently employed. That doesn't change me. My Megaman 1 Project is still in development and I will keep doing it until I completed it. My banner has the game title I'm working on. I'm still trying to do a TAS/Music Remix, speed and no miss run on MM2 Revenge of the eight robot masters. Of course someone made a walkthrough run. My current video project I'm doing is Rockman 2 Dash walkthrough (Up to 14 separate videos). I orginally wanted to do a TAS Speed run but some parts is too difficult . |

Posted by Xeruss I don't have one except my own World 9 Mystic land hack video. I'm sure that Smb2J+2 Mystic land may be the hardest hack I made. |

Well, I do have a YouTube account so it's for all guests to see other than Nico Nico Douga. I hate Nico Nico so much and I want to convert Nico videos so badly. About once a week, I have new videos based on ROM-Hacking. My URL is the same as my username. My hack however, won't be finished until somewhere in 2009.
I thought my MM1 hack would be out at least 2 months from March 2008 but since I have to work on assembly stuff and including editing music in MM1, it takes even longer than I expected. |

Posted by Linglin92 NO. But there are reasons about me. 1] I was born in NYC in America and can read and write in English. 2] I was a good player. 3] I hack SMB1 related mostly and knows level editing too well. 4] My English may not be perfect but grammar and speech language gives me a lot of trouble. 5] I like Touhou. 6] I have Japanese friends via social networking account. All these prove that I'm not the author of these Touhou related SMB1 hacks from Nightbug. And U.N. Owen is her is too hard for me to attempt a no miss run. |

Posted by Arbe You know, you of all people voted you to be unbanned from the forum is got to be more stupid than I think. You see, I do not unban any permabanned users in Insectduel's board when users are harassing me and some other shit including spam attackers like I have last year with the Winx club porno posting. Some users can't be IP Banned because they are too smart to delete any Cookies while some users can't even do it. I should have vote against the unbanned ArBe fans. Now it's too late. You hijacked this board and people's accounts which some admins in other boards including my admins deserve to remain as a permabanned member. Don't say how I do my job in my forum but RULES are RULES. |

Nice project scrennies guys.
SWR: I always knew you do something more creative. Of course I also knew how to dump levels from the Japanese Mario Collection using Windhex and insert levels to the USA Mario All-Stars. Makes me want to continue with my SNES Afterworld 8 Project but not right now. I may also want to do the Spikes Assembly code which I'm too lazy to do with the SNES version with the comparisons between the 6502 and 65816 assembly coding. And I have no idea about the JSL routine if is used in the future while I'm attempting to do the Spikes project. Logical Operand: Now the whole concept of the level is now state of the art graphics. koala_knight: That's a good start. |

I really like that Megaman 3 hack you do so far. It should be better than Rockman 3 Alpha or Rockman Peercast 2 (Although I haven't found it yet but it's deleted).
Anyway, here's my lost hack that was released back in 2005. I've plan to remake one as Frank15's SMB3 2nd hack to the SNES version. |
