This idea should be interesting for those that are SMB1 hackers. No experience needed.

As an experienced SMB1 and SMB2J hacker, you have seen many great SMB1 hacks such as my afterworld 8, AP's aftersmb2j hack, YY's SMB hack, Acmlm's Strange Mario Bros, Googie's team SMB1 hack, Darkdata's Peach SMB1 hack and even more.

Inspired by An SMWC Production, the Insectduel team has decided to do An All Night Nippon Super Mario Bros. team project. Of course, I am the team leader and I will also take part of the project such as coding, level designing, graphics designer and even more. The team leader not participate in my own project means that's being lazy so I must take order in my own project. If you already know this, NO ONE hacked All Night Nippon SMB and there are no hacks of that game.

This video shows that I have knowledge of hacking ANNSMB by experimenting. If anyone is interested to become part of the team project, you can join in starting January 4th, 2012.

Any questions?

@Green Kirby: In case you haven't notice, I do have a SMWC account. I'm attending to do the same with RHDN and Zophars and possibly Vizzed. And there are 2 SMB2J hacks already made by me and 1 made by someone else which involves the character Tails.

Remember it's just an idea, not an official. Which is why I didn't bother making a new thread yet.

Due to busy stuff, my own SMB3-SMAS project and including Facebook Fan Page, I don't have time to discuss with IRC chatting and such. It's just wasting all my time and my SMB3-SMAS project is going to be finalized really soon.

Now I know why is called Super Mario Unlimited.

Mario has infinite lives from each dimension. Meaning that there are a billion Mario's from each dimension.

In today's world, some 8-Bit games are played on the Nintendo Wii.

Anyway, it was a nice game! I've beaten it with all Mario Coins Collected.

The font I used for the SMU logo is Kristen ITC. I've downloaded 100's of font files that goes to my harddrive.

Now I understand why the game is still in it's beta stages until approved.

I've decided to release one of my custom SMB3 levels in public. Download is >here. NES and SNES versions are available and .M3L level files so you can use as a base of your SMB3 hack.

The IPS patch for the NES version is applied to Frank's 2nd SMB3 hack of the ROM. Not SMB3. Version is PRG0. The design is based on his romhack. And the SNES version applies to the clean SMAS rom with a header.

The music of this video is dubbed so I have 0% knowledge customizing the music and mostly ripped from SMW's .SPC files.

Hana Yori Dango Koi Seyo Otome for Nintendo DS is placed on order. I don't normally buy games online but E-Bay is the site I have to stay away from. It should be arrived to my home address about 3 to 4 days.

Funny thing is that Lakitu is used for Plains levels and Bob-ombs that don't explode. I have experiemented the spawn enemy process with my SNES rom during my free time. The only difference is the garbled graphics for different enemy set. The Bob-ombs that used in Tank and Battleship levels that explodes uses a different graphic bank set. I would like to create a Bob-omb throwing brother in my future SMB3-SMAS projects.

If you're looking for that sprite number, I suggest you look in Tank, Battleship and Super Tank levels.

Coming to here was my purpose because of hobby activity. After all 5 years, I've became more mature. And I have to regret all my mistakes. For me, I have a lost of interest of my own forum but I didn't want it to shut it down. It hasn't been popular in a first place. I'm still using this board for news activity reasons. Then my Facebook Fan Page sticks in since August 2010 and I make the news based on both ROM-Hacking and my other hobbies.

People most likely to respect me because of the number of romhacks I created. Now I'm paying all newbies and veterans a price.

I'm lucky enough that's it's still in my harddrive and my flashdrive. And my old friend Fabian Summers held it on his site. Even though his activity is dead. At least Google Sites won't take down websites on such inactivity.

Here's the download. And good luck!

I usually login when I ever see a post that interest me. Or to post my collective works. Anything with Mega Man or the Mario series that fits me. I'll do my best to give them my best possible answers.

It's possible.
It's very simple. If you find a song/sound number that plays the credits music, then disable (Put EA) 5 bytes of a code. OR change the song number where the credits is played.

Isn't Hana Yori Dango a dating sim aimed at a female audience?

True but I am a hardcore fan of the manga, Japanese and Korean TV Drama (Taiwan sucks), movies (early version sucks), and Anime. It's fun to control a female related character to see which of the F4 boyfriends suits it best.

Isnt it necessary to add more ROM-Hacking forums on a specific game? It's like adding SMB3-SMAS hacking topic with only myself moderating the forum with my everyday activity. Things go quickly and die!

Same with adding Mega Man hacking (which I don't suggest to add here), forums like Rockman Perfect Memories has such fangaming topics to bring their own people with a favorite character's hero.

That's one of those reason why Pokémon hacking forum fails. I hope these new forums are worth bringing people here.

Some annoncements!

I have finished inserting all the levels in my SNES version. Some object sets in their original bank has run out of room so I have to move it into another. Like Plains levels into Water/Pipe rom offset. Sky/Ice, Plains, Desert, Piranha/Clouds/Giant has little free space left over.

I am ready to start placing pointers into the map screen and beta test. I'm currently not going to fix anything yet until released. Keep in mind that when I release my next version, it will NOT be the final version. It's expecting to be in Mid-February during Winter Break or maybe less.

I still need help with ExGFX because some stages has garbled graphics. If you're extracting ExGFX from SMW, that does not make you an exprienced person to do the same in SMAS. There are NO editors to extract GFX in SMAS and insert them by ASM. It needs to be by hand. The only known person is Spel Werdz Rite so far but I'm still looking for somebody who has knowledge to extract GFX in SMAS. Unless you can teach me how the graphic routine works.

Also if you like to join me with the beta-testing, feel free to ask. But don't tell me that I already know that can't be done.

Thank you and have a nice day!

@Kiokuffiib11 I don't know what you're talking about but if you're talking about SMB3, then there are only 2 known level editors for SMB3-SMAS. M3I (Mario 3 Improvement) and SMB3WS (Super Mario Bros. 3 WorkShop). Both of them cannot insert .M3L files into the SNES rom and cannot edit level headers. Most of the objects that were used in the SNES version are not compatable with the NES version such as upside down airship pipes.

I most likely to edit the NES version using SMB3WS, then save as .M3L. Open my .M3L with my hex editor and copy/paste all Objects (ignoring the 9 headers) and Enemies and paste it onto the SNES rom. It's immediately done by scratch by removing every level in the game and create a custom level rom offset.

I never really think of this, but the level someone made as a NES version then translated to the SNES version ends up like this. This custom level isn't SOPA related but SMB2USA related instead with my custom palette.

Lakitu spawns all types of enemies and not spinies. Yeah, AI editing required for instant explode Bob-omb which is ASM related.
