You just do ANYTHING especially if you're looking for music data! For title screens while the code/data logger is activated, JUST RESET the GAME. If you opened your FCEUX's hex editor, you'll noticed the highlighted blue meaning that the code has been found. Another is to save as "Stripped NES ROM" which saves the ROM with the data only been logged which is easier for me and open that file with another hex editor. Find the specific search with that rom.

There are other tools to find it, but this is all I can give you!

Version 0.52 is now available. You can play these custom levels of World 1 and World 2 including this one time exclusive World 3-1. Download is at the top page as always and edited.

World 3-1 is an open source level file to the public. Click on the image to download the .M3L file. I created my own custom level. Can you figure out what this message stands for?

The next and final demo release should be up to World 5 tower. After Frank's 2nd SMB3 hack for 1.0, I should move forward to my greater SMB3-SMAS project of my own kind called Insectduel's Super Mario Bros. 3 Kai.

Comments, Suggestions, Questions, Bugs and Glitches (Except levels with corrupted graphics so DO NOT comment.) are welcome in this thread.

Enjoy!

I use Facebook every day because I created a "Insectduel's Domain" fan page to promote other ROM-Hackers and hobbyists. Insectduel's Domain is a hobby based page based on my own hobby activities such as ROM-Hacking, Art, Drawings, Dance/Ballet Performances, Anime Conventions, Japanese Fundraising events, etc.

I would NEVER do the Google+ switch unless it comes to me.

Insectduel's Domain is NOT my only fan page but myself and Ron-Claire were admins of the unofficial Facebook page of Neoぼろくず工房 which is a true ROM-Hacking Facebook page based on Puresabe's activities. Only problem is I need a human Japanese to English translator to become one of Neoぼろくず工房's admins to translate Puresabe's weekly/monthly news.

And my unused Role-Playing page, Amulet Dia. I don't role-play much with other hardcore RP's and Anime fans but people tagged me those photos of the named character.

Uh Oh! There seems to be a problem when making levels from scratch.

I've been researching this and I find this odd. When I paste levels in the ORIGINAL level offset where you set the layer 2 underwater background, it's position changes. Other level offsets is just set it way too high!

I don't know how it works but change the water with the 16x16 editor does not help. They are completely different graphics bank. Unless I can create it.

So far the affected levels is World 3-1, or even World 8 Battleship for future creations when the layer 2 transparent water background is not supposed to be high.

I even look for the ROM Offset where it came from but no help unless I can find the main breakpoint.

Until I find out how it works, I'll update my level making document.

I don't use Twitter much anymore but I'll let Facebook do the job for me. I have 2 Twitter accounts connected to Facebook. Whenever I post my Facebook Fan Page status update, it posts to the "insectduelgames" Twitter and redirects to my Facebook profile account.

The other is some random horoscope stuff.

NEWS UPDATE

I'm almost done with World 5 (Not exactly, just the first half of the map). Here's this video you might want to watch!

Please don't question about the music. It is dubbed with the music turned off.

Once I'm done making levels for my final demo/beta release. I'm going to insert my levels into the main rom and edit level pointers on world maps 1 to 5. Then to beta test. It should be released on November 17th the day of my 6th anniversary.

I'm attempting to create a video trailer when I release it.

For now, I'm making a 4-level SMW Hack and also release it on my anniversary date.

Edit by KP9000: You don't need to make the video that large. Reduced.

What editor are you using. I don't remember if SMB3 Workshop has the palette to change for Mario or Luigi. I suggest to use FCEUX's palette viewer and look for the 3 hex values at the bottom which are for sprites.

Happy 6th Anniversary from Insectduel's Domain. I couldn't finish SMW on time so I decided to upload the final beta/demo version of the game. It's at the Board 2 Uploader and my website. It's best to download it from the Board 2 uploader. Here's the video trailer about the recent changes. Keep in mind that the game is still in it's early stages and may not be 1.0 as the final version but 0.9X something when I finish making ALL levels.

Plays up to World 5 Tower.

Enjoy!

Didn't expect that there will be any SMB1 hacks posted this year! I have use one of my unused SMB1 hacks and tweak it a bit. Don't expect that it will be an easy SMB1 hack. This anniversary hack contains 12 levels without warp zones, bonus levels are limited and finishes at World 3-4. I did this within 10 hours as of yesterday til 3AM and I didn't have time to test it much except cleaning off bad stuff off the SMB1 rom BEFORE I create the IPS Patch. If you find any bugs, please let me know immediately so I can update it.

It's been modified with my own "ISD SMB Util" editor even though there are no SMB2J items there but I like to use the level editor in my own name. Most people started to use it and I get E-mails for these questions.

Screenshots and Download

Download from the Board 2 Uploader

Happy playing!

ろんちゃん

P.S. You are welcome to repost my hack into another website.

There was a bug in World 2-3 at room 20 and I change it's enemy pointers around World 3-1 at room 21 which makes it unbeatable. And have change Pipes that can enter levels into Pipes that cannot enter. Difficulty has been lowered a bit at World 1-2 and 1-4 for both Small and Big Mario. The old IPS patch is deleted and re-released it and change the download links at the Board 2 uploader which is a total of 22 downloads.

I have chosen to disable world select after beating the game. That was a easy find for my FCEUX's debugger.

For those that download yesterday's patch, please re-download from the Board 2 uploader. Thank you and have a nice weekend.

So hey guys what have you been up to lately?

Recently joined the Inner Circle Marketing Corp. I need money if I got people to recruit the company so I can pay off my monthly debit card fees. It will expire August 2012. Plus other expenses.

@amarcum81 I know when this is going! In fact it's been a while using Rock 5 easily's Rockman 2 editor. And is now recently submitted to RHDN. I've been too lazy.

For #1, if you're editing scrolls for Heat Man, you will also editing the scrolls for Wily 1 as well. Air Man is Wily 2, Wood Man is Wily 3, Bubble Man is Wily 4, Quick Man is Wily 5, Flash Man is Wily 6 and/or Password screens, Metal Man is unknown, and Crash Man is the prologue/title screen. I don't think there's a way to do it unless it goes into MMC5 or something and expand it.

For #2, some enemies requires to change of CHR graphics for each scroll as a similar to Mega Man 1. Rockman 2 Editor does cover it. Change them to whatever enemy to put. Keep in mind that some enemies have their own tile numbers.

Proto Man's Sprite Sheet for Mega Man 9

If you're editing at least Mega Man 3 through 5, then Matrixz's CSA editor really does the job.

I may consider doing this for Mega Man IV though whenever I'm not busy with other project.

Thats the last version. In theory, you could set up what graphics are loaded for each sprite, by editing the text files in the "support" folder. But i guess its tedious and uninteresting for anyone to do.

I had experience using it as long I get in control with the GFX rom offsets. Except all my Mega Man projects is discontinued for my current Super Mario Bros 3 projects.

But like I said, I'll be doing the Proto Man Mega Man IV sprite project.

I personally can't stand Twitter. I've stuck with Facebook for quite some time, and IMO even with all the shitty UI changes it's still better than Twitter, Myspace, etc. To be honest I don't understand a blessed thing about Twitter. \(o_0)/

Posting a Facebook status is kinda like tweeting. Which is why my Facebook is connected to my 2 twitter accounts. Personal and Fan version.

Here you go amarcum81. It took me 5 minutes to find it. Here's the ROM Offset which is x34506

0F 36 17 are Wood Man's Palettes for Level Start.

Also for everyone, look at this!

Also since everyones busy is it true that there is a SMAS level Editor if so where can i download

What are you talking about? Are you referring to MushROMs, Acmlm's SMB2USA editor or SMB3 related?

There are 2 SMB3 Editors for SMAS but they are not in full capacity. So I have to use SMB3 Workshop to edit the NES levels before putting to my SNES rom.

I'd figure people just look at the video and not double click the video's title. Anyway, here's the link which is uploaded from another website. I can't find the author's page.

Rockman 2 Claw download

Alternative link if it does not work - Look for ロックマン2Claw [zip].

Enjoy and have a nice weekend everyone!

There are no known SMB3 editors for SNES that has full capacity. SMB3 Workshop is only known for level edits and you can't add or delete objects and enemies. SMB3 Workshop can't edit level headers either if you're using the SMAS rom.

If you want to port your NES levels to SMAS, then you have to edit the NES levels first. I've been posting random requests everyday.

It's sad that I have to pay $10 every month off my AccountNow Pre-Paid Debit Card. And I need to buy a Nintendo DS game that only exists in Japan. I played that game on my No$GBA emulator and it was good. The game is Hana Yori Dango Koi Seyo Otome and it costs $40 at E-Bay.

$50 to $70 at this webpage.

I want to own the game so bad.
