IMPORTANT NEWS FOR ROCKMAN 4 MI FANS!!!
Puresabe updated Rockman 4 MI for Cossack 4, Wily 1 and Wily 2. I'm sorry that I don't have screenshots or my video at the moment. And for all Board 2 whose hobbies is ROM-Hacking, do you have Facebook? I am currently the only admin who controls the Neoぼろくず工房 unofficial Facebook page and not the original owner Puresabe. I will hire more admins to join Neoぼろくず工房 on Facebook ESPECIALLY if I'm looking for human translators who has knowledge of NOT using translator software and is bilingual and/or fluent in Japanese and English. I want fans to understand Neoぼろくず工房's posted news in English. Which is WHY I want someone who knows Japanese. Neoぼろくず工房 did have a MiXi page but my IP address outside of Japan won't allow me to register there unless I have an invite from someone. Neoぼろくず工房 on Facebook (Unofficial) YES, there is a download link to Rockman 4 MI for each wall status. Or direct link here. |

Posted by dreamerman Yes! As said in Matrixz's blog! @Crist_93 1) In your Mega FLE X editor, the scroll editor is located at the right side where it says Scroll Map Position. Change them! 2) You need to learn 6502 NES ASM if you want these things in your game! That includes your FCEUX Emulator that uses 6502 ASM debugging feature. 3) You have music in .NSF format? Then you should learn how NES instrumental sound channels here. That's if you want music in your Mega Man IV rom. The .NSF rom file normally starts the sound channels at offset x80. |

Posted by za909 So you're using GFX for Sonic! Try downloading the pirate NES ROM called "Somari" (Based on Sonic 1). |

Posted by Crist_93 Once again, you have to do the debug search. But in other hand , Matrixz provides everything. I also wanted to change the ring boomerang to rolling cutter in my Mm4DLC hack but couldn't anyway after a year and a half of my discontinued project. I couldn't answer your question but I can give you reference so you can seek them and play around with it. It also helps Rockman / Mega Man hacking elitists in this thread to find answers. Ring Boomerang's ASM for reference $74DAE: Initial Entry Point $74DCC: Entry Point #2 $74DE7: Entry Point #3 Yeah, I'm too lazy to seek them myself and I have limits of computer usage in my mom's bedroom. |

In romhacking terms, the only strong Rom-hackers in Board 2 I know are kuja killer (Mega Man / Rockman series), SePH (A Link to the Past), and Quick Curly (Super Mario Bros. 3). NetSplit is also a strong Mega Man / Rockman hacker but for the 1 series. There are SO many Rockman / Mega Man hackers in the universe which I have been focus on but the weak ones like Chiko can become strong ranking levels into Kuwata to kuja killer to Puresabe. |

Rock5easily created Effect Enemy EX which can delete the wind off Toad Man's stage. It's sad that I don't have that IPS Patch anymore due to my stupid machine and did not create an archive backup. However, it's stuck on my Mm4DLC hack since I coded from the Japanese Rockman 4 ROM into the USA Mega Man IV rom.
I would have help you out since YOU did release a demo. ANYBODY, can you please archive Haikei, Fast Scroll, and Effect Enemy EX to RHDN (Rom Hacking Dot Net). That would be gladly helpful. |

Posted by Crist_93 Maybe someday I wanna try it! But bosses only function in Mega Man 4 only if you set the enemy order correctly as it is! I just copy/paste it from the original file and set it into the room where it functions. |

Nice AI edit on Skull Man. Also about the Ballade Bombs, I think it should be programed like the Pharoah Shot if used correctly. Nice work on the level design. |

I'm not working on my Mega Man IV hack until Winter or Spring 2012. I'm still have interests doing Mm4DLC (Mega Man 4 Dr. Light's Conquest) to prove newbies and veterans how good I am.
Do you guys remember the guy named Frank Maggiore? He's the guy that made so much SMB1 hacks and 2 SMB3 hacks. I'm porting Frank's 2nd SMB3 hack into the Super Mario All-Stars version. A long time ago, I got his permission. So far only the world maps are completed except the palette sets and 16x16 level panels. Frank's 2nd SMB3 hack is my favorite SMB3 hack before Schwa's SMB3 Chao's Control hack or even Acmlm's Strange Mario Bros. 3 hack. I changed the title screen a bit. |

Posted by KP9000 I'm getting to that point! If I could figure out how to edit the background table tilesets in the title screen and not the CHR tilesets using the tile editor. The vSNES has that option to view PPU tilesets for savestates. I would try to corrupt the savestate and then find the ROM offset. |

You should try to assemble the mugshots and change palette sets for them.
Via Datacrystal - MEGAMAN 4 60011 - 6006B Tileset graphics for each portrait. (set 1) 60111 - 6016B Tileset graphics for each portrait. (set 2) 60211 - 6026B Tileset graphics for each portrait. (set 3) 60311 - 6036B Tileset graphics for each portrait. (set 4) 60X9a *0, 1, 2, 3* Tileset graphics for each portrait for the Dr. C logo. 60411 - *6042F: Palette and Tile index for each portrait. 6049C - Palette and Tile index for the Dr. C logo (4 Bytes). Tile index means flipping the tiles upside down or sideways. |

I've been doing research on 16x16 tile editors for backgrounds. Check out the map screen screenshot.
You've noticed that I created the new 10+ level panels replacing the crappy weird level panels in the SNES version. The weird panel in the SNES version has it's original NES 8-Bit. I'm providing the ROM offsets for some of them if you want to use them. When I'm finished hacking the game, I'm updating the whole thing entirely on my SMB3-SMAS document guide. x10D496 - x10D49D Quicksand 16x16 Tile x10D896 - x10D89D Spade Animated 16x16 Tile x10D706 - x10D70D Road Water Unused 16x16 Tile x10D1BE - x10D1C5 Weird Level 1 16x16 tile (They are 8-Bytes for each weird level tile which is all 9 of them.) I've also found the starting offset of the Title Screen background editor. x105702 - Title Screen 16x16 editor This screenshot I showed you before, I'm going explain this part of the research. The (C) 2011 2004 were 8x8 sprites. I don't know anything about 8x8 editing yet. And the INSECT DUEL are 16x16 sprites. All of them are palette set 2. The only main thing is the background and I'm going to put Frank's 2nd on the top of the Title screen. vSNES does help me learn about 16x16 editing and their palette sets. And gotten a little help from Lunar Magic (SMW Editor) to find the palette sets and tileset tables. |

The votes I'm choosing are at random. I didn't even notice that Thantos-Zero didn't even have a layout. I should fix up the voting polls at least one person. If any other random active users has layout posts, then the one with Miku Hatsune will be my random pick. |

Since this is a SMB3 Hacking thread, I'm going to write a tutorial about copy/paste levels from NES version to SNES version ignoring the level headers. Currently, I use Windhex because it can extract data and then import data into a different rom file and inclding rom offsets. Quick Quirly do have a MAJOR point. All Objects and Enemies must be put in all FF's before creating a new level in order.
Current hacking progress. Map screens and the brand new title screen completed. Objects and Enemies pasted in levels is coming soon. Misc stuff is next. I still have not found the palette sets for world maps and I'm still trying. However, I found the palette set but it is not functioning. Someting must've changed the code or something for SNES. This hack will have ASM features which includes. - If the palette set is NOT found in the ROM for map screens, then enable custom palette. (Expansion Required) - Left/Right and Diagonal Thwomps acts like SMA4. - ExGFX in all levels since you can't manually set them yourself. (Expansion Required) May be coded soon - Heart panels in animated frames. - Smart hot foots not crash in levels. |

You just made Watch Man's edit more crazy. Congratulations, your hack has been nominated to the Hack of the Month for August 2011 along with Mega Man the Hedgehog Trap and Mega Man Evolution. I will begin the poll at my forum August 1st.
But in more serious topic, I need to play this! can't wait! |
