I rather either play Rockman 4MI than watch either with a gaming console like PSP or an X-Box 360.

According to Puresabe's Japanese text, Rockman 4MI should be completed by the end of next year 2011.

Q1. One of them is that the Warp Zone in 1-2 always activates 4-2's warp zone (the one with world 5) even though the numbers 2, 3, and 4 still pop up when playing the game.

Q2. My other problem is that on 4-2 somehow, if you go up the regular ending pipe, it takes you to the end of 3-1 (in a place where there's no pipe), I'm not sure how or when that changed?


A1. Did you try editing other features besides levels in SMB Utility. To anwser to your question. Click tools and go to Edit some game stuff. A window pops up and you edit the Warp Zones there.

A2. Click on the red shell in the editor, you should only edit the middle blue one which edits the room areas.

One extra question, is there any way to make it so the underground bonus areas can have bullet bill cannons instead of "islands" similar to some of the bonus areas in SMB: Lost Levels?




Click edit and go to edit header. Then go to type and you see Guns in the dropdown menu.

I don't mean to bump this thread fellas, as a matter of fact I feel kinda stupid. But how do you patch this to play this hack? I'm curious cause I wanna see those GB Mega Man enemies, looks really cool.

I have all 3 zip files where the 4 is located from the link, but no ips file. Thanks for any advice. ^^;


You just need the Rockman 4 ROM and place it in the rockman4_mi folder. Then use R4MIPatch.exe. It will automatically create the MMC3 and MMC5 roms. Use FCEUX to play MMC5 since the rom size is 1,024KB.

EDIT: By the way, I hope you're not a Windows 7 user. I heard that they have problems patching the game.

Hello i have a question,
How do i change the blocks behavior?(TSA?)
In flashman, the blocks are:back, solid, ice and ladder

Does anyone know the offset for change them.(For all the stages, i mean).


I know what you mean! According to my research, RAM $32 and $33 reads TSA Solidity data for each level.

For Flashman's level.

$00 - Nothing
$01 - Solid
$07 - Ice
$02 - Ladder

I haven't got time to find the ROM Offset for FlashMan's level but it is somewhere.

What editor did you use? I can tell that you didn't use Visine because they have the weaknesses for bosses. Except Crash, Metal and Flash which cause glitches with Visine so DON'T EDIT. Unless you make backups.

For me, I use FCEUX to find it easy. Whenever I face a boss, I use all weapons to find the specific boss damage offset. Test it with Wily 5. Use the Code/Data Logger to start searching. USE ALL weapons with 1 boss. Let's say I want 4 Damage. Then pause the game and save as. OR open FCEUX the hex editor and view rom file. Then find the damage set highlighted in blue which is 04, EDIT and save rom. According to the rom file, each weapon damage is set by different enemies and bosses.

WOW, that was great. I really hope someone is interested to edit the weakness manually without using Visine. Like I said, the last 3 weapons cause glitches because of the Flash Weapon has no damage set. Fx3 should be more careful.

Also, Chiko hack #20

I'm not a fan of this whole God World series but at least a decent Rockman 6 (not Mega Man VI) hack has been added. I may want to do the playthrough entirely whenever I feel like it.

It's best not to use Visine to add and place enemies. Use Rock2edit from Rock5easily. HUFF gave it to me on time!

YES it's in Japanese but it's very easy to use. No Japanese language required. Rock2Edit ACTUALLY detect enemy ordering.

It's possible to remove the quick laser beams without the editor but it's just 1 enemy for each room. Let's see what I can do.

It's been a while, but it all depends on the header. And each level has a different rom address. But I can't remember where the GFX is located in the RAM to find it for each level.

Rockman 2, not Mega Man II.

I normally do not want to repost anything from Rockman Japanese rom hackers but I'll delete it off the uploader just in case they are not approved.

Description: For Rockman 2, not Mega Man II. Allows to switch weapons using the SELECT BUTTON. Hold DOWN + SELECT to reverse.

I will do the same for Mega Man II (U) someday but it's pretty difficult to do a conversion due to JMP, JSR, LDA and Bankswitch issues.

@HUFF Don't you EVER upload a single 1KB IPS Patch to MegaUpload. MegaUpload is not one of my favorites. Upload it here at Board 2 or MediaFire. As I said in my previous posts.

I always wanted to do Rockman Megaworld (Wily Wars) but one question. When is released about VERY SOON or ASAP, what region version is supported? I prefer the Japanese version which is Rockman Megaworld.

So much to think of that I forgot to discuss this. European 50 FPS and European Patched to USA 60 FPS versions are supported. The Japanese version's data is all in different locations and seems like some of it might be arranged differently. I intend to add support for the Jap version but for right now it's Europe and USA only. I will make the Editor support easy porting of data, so if you want to work on the Jap version, you can start on one of the other versions first, and do a quick port of the data whenever support can be added to the Jap version.




There's no need to rush through it! Just take you time as best as you can. I'm very much good at porting stuff from one version to another with WindHex. WindHex seems to be the best Hex Editor close to Translhextion.

I know I made a lot of fake screenshots during the videos with Mega Man X Custom music, and I know that there IS a Mega Man X Editor. Is Tsurara's Screenshots are real? If so, then he's proberly good at making the X series.

If you're attempting to work the weapon AI routine, then you're on your own! Unless someone here knows how to function it! However, editing the weapon AI routine requires level 3 of your ASM knowledge and some debugging tools to extract the data.
