Thanks, it's still a long shot right now making my own polished MM4 hack comparing to 4MI and Sparking to Hero and there are tiles being mixed up after I pasted every MM6 Megaman Tiles from scratch. Fixing every tile after pasting can be tough esepcially fixing all Pharoah Man tiles which is loads mostly and all Boss rush parts.

I'm not good with music editing so I wanted my hack to have all MM1 and some of MM2 Stages in Wily Wars/Megaworld theme. Plus Rockman & Forte Title Screen theme.

I'm planning to release my demo hack this Christmas with 2 levels. I've still got more ASM edits to get through.

Well i really appreciate that 3 people seemed to vote me as best rom hacker, really means alot.

I'm trying my best even though it's probably just pathetic of me to only have 1 single level done in 3 and a half years for my game


And Puresabe already made 5 levels already. That's 1 level every 2 to 3 months. Makes me a jealous person when my own romhacking skills aren't good but mine is original and adding too many custom sprites in a 1024KB Rockman 4 game makes me want some.

Almost felt like if I was playing Carol's Brutal Mario SMW Hack. It's a good Mario game too.

What it matters is you're one of the top 3 romhackers here.

I may not hack SMB3 like I used to since 2006. Here's my Skull Man stage preview for my Mega Man IV project. I will make Skull and Bright Man's Stages before the demo release on Christmas 2009.

All I did is transpose the music which is quite easy. Seriously, I need MM1 Music in my hack.



Currently on Sprite Checks for all 16 levels to make sure that it isn't buggy by using CSA.

this is old and all. just wanted to say that i saw in one of his hacks(and i think it was gyro mans level) it looked like he had used my tileset from ring man stage in maverick revenge(and very badly). not that it realy matters, since i to stole them from some games and just modified them. just wanted to point it out. outpounted it is.


I never noticed it. And parts of Blues 4 also in the boss room. I rather not try to focus on that topic because I see large numbers that people didn't care.

That would be my idea sometime.

I will attend to do a Mega Man VI hack with graphics only, Enemy and Boss edits, No Arms Modeling, different scrolls and ASM codes provided by Puresabe.

I don't use MegaFLE X much other than the Graphic loads setting but I use Rock5easily's editor as my choice.

It's the most supportive editor.

First, I have to focus on my IV project and stick by it.

Given a hex editor and the correct locations in the ROM, you could edit the boss weaknesses by hand.

If the info is not as readily available, somebody could compare a vanilla MM2 rom with one that has the relevant changes - and nothing else. That'd give you the information you need to do the above.

And I doubt you're the first Italian MM2 .


I've played his demo hack and it's. Well, can't tell you Kawa.

Back on topic, 1] I used FCEUX to find weaknesses through any MegaMan game (MM4 and MM2 which you can't edit through editors) even though Visine has it but seriously, DON'T USE VISINE TO CHANGE IT, it's not 100% accurate and contain bugs to your game. There are problems with Crash and Flash Weapons.

2] Visine is a DOS program, try DOS Box if you're using Visine.

Then if FCEUX allow me only the discovery of the several weaknesses, and you advise against VISINE, what program i have to use? I'm forced to use a hex editor, which is a no specific program for Mega Man?

I would advise if I add the MegaMan 2 ROM data into Datacrystal. Unfortunely, my desktop computer died so I can't do anything until 2 to 3 weeks or even next month.

Wrong! Because using other MM2 musics without permission is prohibited. You must create it as your own or use musics from other Capcom MMC1 games.

Honestly, your posts confuses me a little bit but be more clear. I've just don't like being dishonest to other people or i'll lose respect to my fans. In other words, I can use Chiko's Rockman 5 DWL's RosenkreuzStilette music to other MMC3 Mega Man games that originally composed by a German creator.

I do have other discussions about inserting music to your question.

There's only one editor that is either extremely hard or no one else ever done in their entire lives. It is a really old thread so do not post.

Puresabe's MIDI to NSF converter

It's the only editor that can insert music and also adds more space to it but not sure if it's used with Mega Man or Mega Man II. I didn't use it to well.

Or, just use plain hex. I have the details about the sound engine for the Megaman II document being copied at the 429 forums.

I'm still working on Gemini Man and Hard Man's levels for my MM3 hack before I plan to release a demo-- currently unable to tweak them right now because my computer goes kapoot on programs like Mega FLE X when booted. I'll be glad to help you if you need it when I learn more about ROM hacking. XD


Mine too, when my brother is using it until the system files corrupted. I have plans to create and release my Mega Man IV hack around Christmas but can't now. Instead of making both Bright and Skull levels, I'll release Skull Man for now when it gets better.

Plus there's still some unfinished sprite work with Wily 4 and Ending scene.

It's good to back up your projects in your Flash Drive or your private uploader account after editing.

Let's bring on a different topic. Chiko's ReReleased versions of Rockman 5 DWL. I know people didn't care for it but discussions are still to be discussed.

Are you guys feel eradicated about this? Every time there's a new release, older stages gets thrown away. This happens with Rockman 5 Dood in Gate from 08/23/09.

I'll be posting more screenshots in my article and find out each versions of the game. I'll be keeping most of the archives.

Im afraid to to tell you matrixz, it's still not working on japanese PC's at all. People still get run-time errors reguardless of trying the one with the VB run-time files or not.

One japanese person mentions they get a "run time error 5, invalid procedure call/argument"

It's probably not worth to even try anymore honestly. I think they'll stick to the editors made by Rock5easily.
Even though those are far much "less" advanced in comparison to megafle.


It's kinda annoying switching PC languages between Rockman 2 editor and MegaFLE X opened in the same window in a Japanese language. My computer has all asian language support.

I've used Rockman 4 Editor often than MegaFLE X except for graphic load editors and enemy settings (HP and weak spots). Gosh I hope the TSA Editor is been fixed because I found something annoying for the 0.5 version.

Everytime I put the 16x16 TSA block in the structure window, the other TSA's in the 8x8 window is been messed up.
