Mega Man IV uses Ice tiles in 1 level only which is cossack 1. It's impossible to work in all the levels unless there is a way to do it. And I don't know if it's possible to create a Ice tile for Mega Man III.

I don't have many subscribers on MySpace. First time making a thread like this.

This is my cat. Her name is Bebe

This is my cat and her name is Bebe. We took her to the ASPCA today because she is getting fatter and fatter, eating little by little, drinking water frequently, and couldn't barely poop as much. I don't know what the cause.

Until my doctors found out that she had lot of food in the belly and could be cancer or a kidney failure. They couldn't find a damn cure for it and even if I have unlimited income, they can't cure it. So me and my Twin brother decided that we should left her to die or to sleep. Even if bring her back home, she will continue to suffer. As my decision goes, I didn't have a choice.

That really upsets me and when I told my 12 year old sister. She is REALLY upset.

That really hurts me on this day and I'm still not over it.

I'm almost done with that one level for the SMW Hacking contest before the due date. I've just want my brother to insert sprites from SpriteTool and Add Cutman's theme music in my 1 level hack.

Since there are too many SMB3 hacking screenshots and videos I wanted to motivate people into hacking SMB3 in the All-Stars version.

This is Frank15's World 1 fortress from the demo version of his 2nd SMB3 hack.

Sprites are buggy though due to GFX headers.

Yup, only Cossack stage 1 has slippery floors. And if you can generate a floor type to be slick anywhere in the game, it can work in any stage.

You proberly don't understand that but I tried using Ice Tiles in any level but didn't work.

Alright if you're curious, the data is already disassembled.

Mega Man IV rom offset

$793A2: Stage ID for which level the "Slippery" Block Type is functional in. Contents is $08 (Cossack Stage 1).

Changing the level ID only have Ice tiles for that 1 level. If it's changed, it's no longer work in Cossack 1. Personally I only need 1 Ice level in my hack which is Skull Man.

I wouldn't die trying to finish and I would'nt lie to people. Now I should get back to my own project this week. I want to learn how to hack Passwords in MM4 which gives different values to each level passed like in Rockman 2 Grayzone.

Not sure if I am continue with MM1 when MM4 is done. I am going to do this non-stop even if I have some other hobbies to do.

I don't know much of the stage select ideas especially in the Mega Man X games. Mega Man X3 for the SNES is my first SNES game before X1 and X2 and before the X Collection on Gamecube.

Boltman has 2 stages, right? Reminds me of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and 3. I expect all stages to have 2 stages each.

I would like to suggest that no Mega Man game have comparing to Sonic CD. Each stage will have Past, Present, Good Future and Bad Future. Of course it will never happen normally.

Composing music is also one of my problems but I recently hacked one of my NSF files and try to compose music on my own so my original project wouldn't crash. And MegaMan II seems worse since I can't change the copy track of the title screen.

Most people I asked told me to read one of Matrixz's document. I understand it a bit but I need music that isn't CAPCOM's MMC3 music related.

It would be nice if you add "Sound Test" in the options menu if your hack does uses custom music.

Like Megaman Forever did which is coded nicely.

Spoiler:
I'm not pretty proud of Rockman 2 but I can rip songs and convert them to .NSF

Wow, someone actually posted that.

I am pretty proud of WINED's work and this must the one of 2009's best hack of the year. I have no idea when Me and Konchuu will start the ceremony but there are bunch of Rockman hackks to nominate in the 2009 year either at my old forum or the forum owned by RondellMole429.

WINED must've worked that MUCH hard to make this and the music also sounds great. People asked me to do runs of this hack but I will not attempt to cheat or Tool-Assistance.

Anyway, congratulations to WINED with his completed awesome hack.

I started hacking Mega Man IV again. And the world needs more sophisicated MM4 hacks such as Rockman Sparking to Hero. I'm currently hacking the password ASM data that Yosakutea never done before or a similar variant to WINED's Rockman 2 Grayzone.

http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/6056/mm4passerror.png
http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/5627/mm4passwordedit.png

-So far I already add the 1UP Sound like in Mega Man 2 when you punch in the passcode. Very easy coding.

-NOP'ed the continue only in Cossack and Wily stages. Now you can choose Stage Select if you fail to beat the Cossack and Wily stages. Choosing the Dr. Light face in my hack will continue the cossack and wily levels where you left off.

If I can't change the passcodes in Mega Man IV, then it should be no problem not having one in my hack. I'm to study how the ASM data works for passcodes.

9/20/09- Version 1.2 of Rockman 2 Grayzone

I don't know if WINED either fix bugs or fix the game difficulty. Either way is fine.

Spoiler:
BTW, Downloaded another Chiko hack for Rockman 2. I am going to start protesting if I see if Chiko steals graphics work from others or the lack of editing. Which makes me a slow remodeler .

I got touch with Chiko's site since summer after I found Rockman 4DX, then Rockman 6th Mr X Return. Now the latest 2 releases which is Rockman Deft (Rockman 3 hack) and Rockman 2 Wed of Slasher.

As usual, I played it and uses the same types over and over again. However, I have a few questions that really bother me.

1] How did Chiko able to finish his Rockman hacks with less than 1 month?

2] Where did Chiko come up with the title names? (Fabian Summers told me)

3] Why is Chiko steal graphics (Most of Kirby's) from other hacks but not his own or the original games? (Rockman 4DX and Rockman 6th Mr X Return does not use any custom graphics)

I would like to get an interview with Chiko sometime.

I also IRC chat with Konchuu Kettou last night after I tried these and told me.

"Chiko may be an underrated remodeler but he'll do anything for people's attention. Meaning that his ASM work isn't normal as Yosaku or even Rock5easily. Some people took months or even years to finish their own projects. But still bothers me about Chiko's quick finish in his work unless he's at least 16 years old."

I can't even finish my own projects and I already have my MM1 hack on Ice. So this is my question. Is Chiko's hacks worth playing?

I have mail from Fabian Summers. This what he comment.

""I know you guys aren't as fast as Chiko. That's why he borrows things, while you make more original creations. Chiko's still got a lot to learn; but I think he could do something decent if he stopped using other people's work as a crutch.

Speaking of which, I've played through a little of both Rockman 2: Wed of Slasher and Rockman Deft, and here are some of my first impressions. Rockman 2 WOS rips some backgrounds straight out of Rockman 3 Return, and some enemies from Rockman 2 Minimum, which I think had a larger influence on its design. Rockman Deft is actually a Rockman 3 hack, NOT Rockman 1. Although it borrows some ideas (such as "new" bosses, and even the names for some of them) straight from Myrtos' Rockman Last, it seems to be fairly original as far as level design goes. Granted, it's as exasperating as many of Chiko's other hacks, but there doesn't seem to be as much sprite overload or as many sneakily placed enemies. On the other hand, there are some other issues (there's a giant cat just past the midpoint of Blade Man's stage that has ridiculously poor hit detection, so you have to dodge and shoot like crazy to destroy it before the bouncing enemies it shoots out when the balls of yarn leave the screen rip you to shreds).

I'm far more angry about what happened to Infidelity than I am about Chiko's antics. There's no excuse for that kind of thing, and it's insane that he has to take such actions to keep his family safe.
"

I'm surprised that Fabian saw some things for Rockman Deft and I kinda thought Rockman Deft is for Rockman 1 which Chiko also needs to know what game it applies.

Rockman 2 Editor from Rock5easily should run on Vista. Although mine is only Windows XP. These editors works with both Mega Man II and Rockman 2 ROMs and all level editing formats carry the same ROM address.

Visine is also a Mega Man II Editor and has a LOT of features. Too bad it runs on DOS. And may not work on Vista.

There are at least 4 Mega Man VI editors. Sixtans (DOS), Rockman 6 Editor from Rock5easily, another one from DHI but has unsupported features, and of course MegaFLE X.

Now on with it. When I first played Rockman 5 Dark Return, I thought Tar made it as a secret hack and so it qzecwx who also thought the hack is made by Tar. But Tar uses the Gordo spikes directly from the Kirby games which is OK to use in the hacks. Using the Gordo Spikes and tons of graphics from other hacks and not the originals will completely savotage the original authors who made it. If you played Rockman Deft for Magnet Man stage. The airship graphics are actually ripped from Super Mario Bros. 3, not Rockman 5WDS.

I have evidence of screenshots which Chiko steals custom made or drawn graphics that are NOT from the originals. Gordo spikes are not custom made, they are ripped directly from Kirby. I can't barely tell if Dood in Gate from Sparking to Hero level designs are either custom made or ripped directly from the original.

Feel free to download or reupload my screenshots.

Also Wily 2 from Dustman's level from STH.

There are other GFX ripped from Rockman 2 Minimum as well but can't find any graphics that were custom drawned. All I see is some Mario graphics and some of kirby's which ripped from the original game itself. Also note that Chiko uses too many cheap shot level designs for most of them (Especially Dark Return) and completely unfair play. And I have no idea where Chiko ripped off assembly (ASM) but his ASM work isn't creative either. It's just a modifed code.

And finally for Rockman Deft, I can see that you stole the boss names from Rockman L but did you have to drew the sprites THAT UGLY. This is why I cannot stand Chiko's projects. All Chiko does is waste other people's time and make other people like me are unmotivated or feel bad to continue with their own projects. I already have my Mega Man 1 hack on Ice because of my activity actions from March 2008 to June 2009 (Or August 2009's release).

I hope nothing happens with MegaGirl or I'll cancel it.
