I hope you get this idea. Recently, I went to Folder Options to change the .M3L Extension Icon to SMB3 Workshop. Then Browse the .EXE file to either SMB3 Workshop or Mario 3 Improvement Editor. There's a catch.

Every time I click on the .M3L extension it says "BAD LEVEL OFFSET" and afterwards, it says "No file loaded" on my M3I Editor. And for SMB3 Workshop, it asks to load a ROM (Inlcuding Mario-x.smc) after clicking on the .M3L extension file.

It is quite annyoying.

I was wondering if you can make the .M3L Extensions act like Lunar Magic whenever you click on a .MWL Extension (Mario World File) instead of asking me to load a ROM before clicking on a level file for the Ultimate SMB3 Editor.

You know. Rockman 1 never use Japanese Text. And so is Super Mario Bros. 2 Japanese, and All Night Nippon Super Mario Bros. except parts of the Title Screen. I might consider do a translation project in the future when I feel like it.

Updates about MegaGirl Another Fight Story.

Keep in mind that those screens are my Testing levels only. I haven't started editing the maps yet. I used ProtoGirl's art base to design her as a 8 bit charater. Except the face routine (Like MM's face or Boss character faces). It require a little ASM Routine if I construct it if possible.

MegaGirl meets ProtoGirl

Ready to shoot

Here it goes

FIRE!!

ProtoGirl's Jumping Routine. Notice that parts of the arm tile are missing. That's because I been fucking around trying to find the missing set. But it came close comparing to Megaman 3 Protoman's real Jumping style or Blues.

I changed Sniper Joe's Projectile shot. Here's the address for those who need it.

SniperJoe’s Projectile
From - $B086> A9 1A: LDA #$1a - Sprite 3 shot Projectile
To - $B086> A9 2D: LDA #$2d - Sprite 4 shot Projectile

I currently need help finding Sprite TSA's in a Megaman 1 game if you guys know anything about it. This screenshot below is the key to create Quint out of Big Eye's CHR and TSA Routine.

Otherwise I should use Quint's Head in a CHR Routine.

Yes, it is the editor for Rockman Megaworld Only. Not Megaman the Wily Wars. Of course I didn't design the editor since I have no knowledge of making it. It is created by a Japanese ROM-Hacker named Koribe.

Visine Omega is named after Visine which is a Megaman Editor for 1 and 2. Visine Omega can edit games for Rockman 1, 2, 3 and including Wily Tower. It also has a battery save fix option for the Rockman Megaworld ROM, can convert .bin files to .smd or .md, can decompress GFX and insert them. And much more. Although some of them is not supported yet.

I was one of the Beta Testers of the editor. And Koribe is gonna release it to the Public about next week. I'll put it on my website.

I've been testing and using different stuff throughout the whole game.

RM3 Menu in a RM2 Game

Here's Rush

I can Slide

Gemini Laser against Quickman

Wily Tower Weapon Menu

Time Stopper against the clone

Crash Bomb against the 3 clones

RM3 weapons vs. RM2 Bosses in Wily 5.

Any questions?

Why are you posting about it if it isn't released/announced by the author?

Beacuse I'm making sure that any bugs don't exist in the editor. Of course the author has to fix these bugs in the editor if I or any other beta testers reports it.

Why did you make this thread, and what purpose does it serve?

I'm not gonna tell for some reason. You just have to wait. Right now I'm only showing the editor so other ROM-Hackers experience what hacking Rockman Megaworld is like.

I always wanted to hack Rockman Megaworld anyway.

Anyway, can it edit levels, or just view them? You can get weapons from one game to another using cheats, you know...

Of course it can edit levels. That's why it's called a level editor.

hey iam very, very .. VERY interested in working with this program. i have a few questions though.. can u bassicly do anything with it like you can with mega fle x if you are like me, a amateur? can you edit about everything, all from screen directions to tile editing? and of course 1 more question. exactly when will i be able to download the program??

greets

1] Not everything is been edited. Sprite Support hasn't been issued in the editor yet. Only levels and scroll/screen support. Of course it is not the same way you edit with the orginal visine or MegaFLEX.

2] The download for Visine Omega will be here just a few days this week. I'll let everyone know when it's official.

You know, that trailer reminds me of Rockman Paradise. It looks good too. And just to be honest. A lot of people started to hack MM4 recently and I wanna hack MM4 in the future. Except MegaFLE X doesn't work on my computer, and even try to install the VB6 Run Time Files, I get a computer virus instead. That was a year and a half ago. I was forced to spend $85 to fix it and downgraded Direct X 8.0. So my computer should never get VB6 Run Time files in order to hack MM4 until I get a nice Windows XP Upgrade. But I have no idea when because WinXP installation is expensive.

MM4 hacking look kinda nice too to hack but right now I'm into MM1 now.

Have you even tried to open the ROM.

Spoiler:
I bet you're pretty shocked isn't it?

Let me tell you something. Visine Omega is a fake all along. Set only for the April fools joke. The screenshots, program, web site, everything. I even tried to ask Andres from Ice Board to make the editor exactly what's seen in the screenshot but he didn't finish it on time.

So I have to re-edit SpriteMod's text dialogue by hex.

Yes, I would be interested to find Rockman Megaworld Data and hack the game. But not right now. I have other projects to make.

Those shots is not a joke. I'm done fooling around since Rockman Megaworld. Time to be serious and a serious ROM-Hacker. I've been doing Afterworld 8 for Super Mario All-Stars since July 2006 and lost interest of that project because I need to learn some ASseMbly for Super NES games.

And yes, Roxharis did show me the tool in the JUL Board that can convert all NES hacked games to the SNES Version called Smb2Smc (Super Mario Brothers to Super Mario Collection). I tried it too and it was quite good. But I'm gonna port all levels to the specific offset to the US version of Mario All-Stars and add new features and graphics to the new version of Afterworld 8 for the SNES.

I'm not doing the project now because I wanted to do Megaman first before going back to the Super NES Project.

NOTE: Smb2Smc works for the Japanese Super Mario Collection, not US Super Mario All-Stars. And I'm gonna dump and insert those levels with Windhex.

I can tell that it might be a flash ROM-hack just like Super Mario Evolution 2 with the Yoshi.

And I haven't even check Romia BBS in a LONG TIME. If you do find the hack. Please notify me by E-mail so I can host it in my webpage.

I wish those videos would have patches on their page.

Heh, funny how Japanse ROM hacks seems to be obessed with abusing glitches as part of gameplay...

Not true. I even abuse glitches in my SMB2J+1 Hack than the second one. And even if they host patches on their YouTube videos. I will host the patches directly on my website. There's a chance that they didn't.

I collect almost every SMB1 Hack and even the Japanese ones I found. But I took a break for a while for a reason.

Here's SMB Evolution 2 which is quite superior SMB1 Hack.

I bet there's a spread about those remake Pokémon Projects that already exist in the past months.

In fact, I haven't been in the Pokémon community forum in a worth while to check out any Pokémon projects.

Holy Shit!!!

Elecman in a Megaman 4 game. That was SO AWESOME.

I always wanted to do a Megaman 4 hack based on Megaman 1 Bosses and level graphics including Time Man and Oil Man sometime in the future.

Keep up the good work!

Anyone know where to find rockman2dx? That is one of the hardest to find ips patches!

Believe me. I tried many months ago and still can't find it. Even in Japanese. I do wan't to host Rockman 2 DX on my webpage and RHDN, but there's still no luck finding it. And for those who already heard of Rockman UnPrecedented which is DHI's newest Rockman 2 Hack. I won't be uploading any BETA versions unless DHI completed it.

Also tried updating Nestopia... didn't work.

Most likely i'm patching the wrong ROM then. oO

Might be a trained rom with a 41,488 byte (512 bytes from the original SMB1 and the hex MUST be 05 in offset x6 I think?). Of course I haven't even tried it yet since I was busy.
