It dosen't matter how suck it goes for Zelda 3. Any ideas good or bad is still a sucessful hack.

I kinda wish they do the same for Pokemon Hacking. Only Liquid Crystal and Christo's Liquid Ocean are good ones so far.

Anyway, I already made a new Title Screen for my Mega Man 4 hack called Dr. Light's Conquest, and no I'm not using the Rockman 4 ROM as a base.

All I did is to insert all Rockman 4 Tiles into the tile editor and copy the sets of tile data from offset $62010 to somewhere where the unused data took place. The palette and the sprite data took place around $72010 (Not sure where).

Dr. Light is now the bad guy. I will come up with some ideas for it. The hack should be released in January 1, 2010 or later when finished. No less.

Now I have 2 MM Projects to deal with.

Is it me or is the "Dr." part in wider letters than "Light's Conquest"?

It's wider because it's Drawn from the Japanese Rockman 2 or 3 Titles.

See.

I've seen it before, yeah.

Why not fix it?

I guess I could make is shorter or insert letters in my tile editor into a new blank tile or the existing one where the red part is.

@Kawa, you're not updating your editor are you? Looks like it.

Got my Title Screen fixed as planned. Check out my Tile table in Tile offset $28010. Lots of Japanese characters still left out in the ROM itself when I use the table file to delete the Japanese letters of Rockman 4.

Image

Also, I have manage to move the cossack image sprite to drag it into Dr. Light's face.

No black outlines seen.

@HylianFox It's already inserted since I have the Mega Man 9 Tile Sets. But thanks for the suggestion.

btw, it was hard for me to index each potrait palette set for a little bit. The data is somewhat different in each ID.

Animation palettes is also somewhat frustrating too unless I flipped the address memory for each animation ID. Brightman, Ringman, and Drillman all shared the same red animation palettes.

Bosses in this hack are now palette swapped.

I love when hack ideas come at work. I recently init sounds for most of them. I will do the same for enemies soon and including bosses. May also change the sound effect memory also. Like having Mega Man 1 sounds into Mega Man 4.

It's my own idea of having it in my own hack.

Btw, the password selected sound is better than selected. And I won't be using any music in my hack while cossack appears. Just for demo purposes only.

Me and my mother grew up with M.J. It's sad that the king of pop died.

Oh, well.

I do idolize him in my childhood years.

I have created several custom ASM patches for Mega Man IV all day yesterday and came up with some ideas in my head for my current hack right now. All files comes with source .asm code.

Link to the Mega Man IV ASM Patches

Googlepages is DOWN, so I can't use it until further notice.

So far I created 3 ASM patches with source .asm files for the current Mega Man IV games. The Proto Man whistle is my favorite custom ASM code and tested several times. Now you can use it for Protoman users.

And the warp fast code took me a long time to initalise. I don't know how Matrixz did it with his forever hack but it seems like Matrixz used it differently the way I coded from scratch.

NOTE: Some patches CANNOT be combined with others since I most likely to use it in the same free space memory. You have to use the .asm file with the hex editor and recode them from scatch in a different address.

New graphics would've been nice rather seeing old classic graphics.

Imagine a Zelda 3 hack with Pokemon GBA Graphics. I'd love to see that.

When I was doing research on MM1GB I got a really awesome idea for a hack, but a combination of laziness, frustration, and uncreativity made me lose interest. All I finished was the title screen:

(The Japanese Subtitle is not a placeholder.)

And the other problem is that I couldn't really think of a good set of bosses.

I would also think about putting the prototype Fire Man's level with enemies is a start.

Argh, damn slow internet (Plus scripting). My profile is a bit messed up.

I hope there's a Twitter group right now. Been in contact almost every day.

It's okay. I had the same way with MegaGirl. I was more focused with Mega Man IV so I really don't have time to finish it unless I completed the hack before or after 2010 of January. (I would release the hack on New Years) I inserted some good ASM stuff that CAPCOM didn't even coded some of the sound stuff and other customary ASM.

Thanks for the demo release, apprieciated.

OMG, today is my lucky day. Rockman 4 Endless has it's first release too. Better start playin them both tonight.

I used to play card games back in my teenager years.

I just collect Pokémon cards for my own sake and I used to play Yu-Gi-Oh. Now that I'm an adult, I don't play card games anymore and my money is being wasted at the same time.

I need a good paying job to continue my duel monsters hobby.

How do you exactly import the music from other games? I know where the music data is since I held on the document and I have a few tools related to music.

Nsf2Midi
GXSCC
Spc2Midi
RockMidi2Nsf (For Mega Man 3 to 6 games) - Will be used with my MM4 hack.

The point is, I'm not good at making music or playing notes with hex formats. I've planned to use parts of Hana Yori Dango music for Game Boy Color into my Mega Man 1 hack.

And now there's a new series to Rockman Peercast series called Rockman Peercast Endless. A friend sent an E-mail to me and found it. I didn't even know it myself.

The link is at http://nemusg.com/rockmanpe.html

It applies to Rockman 2, not Mega Man II.

You guys better get it now before it vanishes.

There's proberly still no luck with the original 1 and 2 of the Peercast series while it's already deleted. You better contact a friend who still have it in the PC.

I spoke too soon before I got things in control.

I finally get my new computer tomorrow so I can return to ROM hacking! Can't wait. It sucks having to use your parents computer, especially when they don't want you using it.

I will either be hacking Dark Mario, or doing some ASM hacking to MM3. With MM3, I'll probably make a new weapon or something. I'm undecided yet. But I do have some ideas in mind, and ideas are everything!

Really, you can have all the hacking experience in the world, but if you can't think of anything creative to do, then it doesn't mean anything.

It's good to hear from you. What's worse is you can't really hack without your own PC.

I've been through it at least 3 times already and I'm bored enough.

I guess it's never easy to create music. The only way to do it or to write songs is to play around with hex and know the headers.

It's easy to find music data, but creating music isn't one of them.

I've been wanting to get back to my MM1 hack and MM4 hack. For the MM1 hack it's the one with Dragonsbrethren ripped graphics from Darkwing Duck and he added Infidelity's MM9 graphics for the Wily levels.

If anyone wants to help me out, can edit the level scrolling to their liking. Only thing I ask is to please get ridda the screens that repeat, I'll send whoever wants to help me the ROM so they can take a look at the graphics and edit the level scrolling from there.

With my MM4 hack, I edited 2 levels but the levels scroll like the original. So if anyone wants to edit the level scrolling to their liking feel free. I might as well ask here first before I make an ad on RHDN... ^^;

I can probably make levels that don't need the same scrolling as the original or having the same enemies with graphics. I'm working on MM4 right now. Level designing is pending for mine right now after all ASM and music inserts.

btw, I should make an ad too. For sprite designer of the female robot masters.

I can help you. But what doors are you talking about. The Boss doors, 1st doors or second doors. Unfortuenly, only Rock n' Roll covers the first set of doors. Others must be with the hex editor to make them set.
