Insectduel, I'm fortunate to have some decent time after work. I usualy get home around 4:30, take care of stuff, and around 5/5:30 I start work on the rom. I usualy last until 10:30/11 pm. The weekends are my biggest amounts of free time.

Hope everything works out for you

It sure does, only I have free time on Saturdays, Mondays and Thursdays but sometimes I go out on special events or trips and even game night on Saturdays. I'm normally get home around 4PM to 8PM after doing network marketing during the weekday.

Most of my Friday afternoons, I have to get coffee at Starbucks and discuss certain cluster meetings or customer demos with my Emerald director.

Wish you a best of luck with your Megaman Ultra 2 project. I have to get showdown 4 finished soon along with my other long-term Megaman 1 project.

Good work man! I played this game since Summer of 2002. I always want to try out the level viewer or edit this one sometime.

Megaman Showdown 4

I'm not much of a TAS player so don't think I do certain speedruns because I played MM4 all my life.

Beta testing MY OWN HACK. After all the efforts I did so far. I should thank Matrixz for advice and his Megaman 4 Document. Dr. Cossack 4 gave me the balls last night to find and set data. Some sound settings are also changed.

Overview

Dr. Cossack 1: There are no screen requirements to set the butterfly boss. Because there are NO apdapters for each of the robot masters, you have to get one at the beginning of Cossack 1. The WIRE weapon is your friend in this hack. This level has 4 screens. All boss sprites must be set in a certain order or it will not load. I re-coded by hand only than the level editors.

Dr. Cossack 2: It is a 3 Screen level because of the way of the middle wall sprite is coded on screen. It only sets in the EVEN number of the room.

Dr. Cossack 3: 2 Screen level, but the cockroach twins require to set in certain scroll numbers.

Dr. Cossack 4: 2 Screen level, orginally supposed to start the level with the DOWN scroll but RIGHT instead because the DOWN scroll gives an incomplete VRAM sprite buffering while loading. Dialogues, Cossack sprite and VRAM buffering are set to a certain screen ID number to activate.

Don't expect a fast release. There are still settings to change and create the EX version of the patch which includes hard mode for all 8 bosses behaviors and some damage projectile settings.

What is this ORIGINAL game you guys are working on. Nice screens by the way. Time to try something new for a change for the finished product.

Megaman Showdown 2 - Version 0.53

I don't feel like reviving my team project thread since I have no one to do it except Insectduel's Board members. This hack has small changes. And RHDN's thread has been slapped too by one of the RHDN's Staff Members.

Updates from Version 0.50
- Modified the Time Stopper's Counter. Many people can't beat Quickman in Hard Mode which includes some of the Speedrun players.
- Quick Boomerangs can now shoot through Airman's Tornadoes.
- You won't be able to view or to access passwords to bypass any levels or to get E-Tanks. Thank Wriggle Nightbug for the coding.

What's more to come
-Possibly add custom music
-Work on the Bosses AI routine on my own.
-Possibly more ASM changes if possible

Megaman Showdown 4 is currently under development, but I was close to finishing it before I get started with the EX version of the patch. Currently, I'm spending the weekend testing some new patches and play some good Rockman hacks before I get back to it.

I think it would be cool if each Robot Master had their stage theme for their fight and a generic 'waiting room' song on the outside of their rooms.

You mean something simlilar to the Megaman Zero Series, right? I think one of those hacks actually had it which is Rock n' Maxx. It's a very cool theme for before boss matches.

You forgot to mention that "Load Another Rom's GFX" only loads graphics from the other rom and not TSA attributes. I created some GFX SMB1 patches a long time ago that also uses TSA attributes.

Something I edit a short a while ago because I need to get motivated on my long term Megaman 1 project again after Showdown 4. Recently change the frame patterns and graphics for the Rolling Tornado weapon for both Megaman and Cutman.

Been working hard these days. A lot of people have asked me for graphic drawing requests for their SMB1 hack. But just to be honest, I don't hack SMB1 anymore. Due to the fact that I lost interest in it but I have other projects or even other ROM-Hacks to play.

Megaman Hacking is most likely motivate me to work on certain games. The Showdown series which I'm currently editing right now. Mostly MM4 than MM2. And I have 2 other long term MM Projects which is MM1 and MM4 for future reference.

I can help you draw if you want since I'm good with SMB1 graphic designs by GFX and assembling sprite ID frames (Like TSA). In fact, isn't Frantik has his SMB1 graphics workshop. in play.

I really like what Frantik have so far but a lot of work still needs to be edited. But I STILL love to use my hex editor to assemble the TSA's and such.

I may need to get back with SMB1 for a little bit but I still have my BETA testers and my teammates working on my Megaman 4 hack right now.

Accepted, I should proberly get working on Roslina but it may be an ass trying to edit the sprite frame values.

I had a tough time editing Drillman today anyway.

I like RM Showdown too. ^^;

Wow, I'm glad to hear that from you. That's pretty sweet.

Ahem, based on the fourth series I'm working so far, the Normal version is now complete. Now, I'm working on the more difficult version of the game called Megaman Showdown 4 EX. All I need to do is change enemy settings, and reflex timers for megaman.

It's not easy coding each of the bosses ASM, but Drillman is hard to think of while coding or change their settings.

It should be released about next or 2 weeks with both patches included.

They're pretty much on ice until I can get off my lazy ass, or get some free time to figure out how the level scrolling works to have the level layouts differently from the originals... *sleeps*

I can proberly help you with scroll layouts in Megaman 4 now because I started it. I use MegaFLE X to do it. If you see the Scroll Position, you change the number, and the one below it is how many screens can it go up to.

They even have Boss Doors as the scroll position only in MM4. Note that taking up screens can change the scroll map position. I should write a tutorial soon.

I hope my Rockman 4-Kai videos motivate to continue on. It now motivates me to do a long-term MM4 hack after Showdown 4.

I spent 2 months of this project and working on this one non-stop since after the World Class Banquet. I would like to thank infidelity and Matrixz for sharing the cool findings and myself for finding and adding more data. And my BETA-Testers as well. And now Version 1.0 is now released.

I used both the document and the ones found in Datacrystal.

.:: Hack Name ::.

Mega Man Showdown IV

.:: Hack of ::.

Mega Man IV (U), not Rockman 4

.:: Console ::.

NES

.:: Description ::.

MMS4 is the boss-only version of Mega Man 4. Megaman Showdown 4 is basically my own project because Mega Man IV is one of my favorite games. So I started the project and quickly find some data on my own until I added a few on Datacrystal and used their notes as well. Someday, I'll work on my long-term Mega Man IV project. So Showdown 4 is the only one completed right now. MMS4 is a hack of the original MM4 that makes all stages except for Cossack 1, and Cossack 2 only 2 screens. Wily 3 are where you refight old bosses.

All boss stats have been edited (EX Version only), all weapon energy consumption amounts have been edited, etc etc etc except music but feel free to add if you want. I really don't need to add music to this hack unless I'm working on some long-term Mega Man IV hack.

This should be the final version of MMS4 of v1.00 unless bugs are discovered. Also note that MMS4 you start witn 0 lives which is new in this Showdown series and you get to choose between Normal and Hard modes depending what patch are you using.

The original hack is created by Vagla of Dragon Eye Studios.

.:: Features ::.

-No reflex times. (Hard Mode Patches only)
-Start with Half-Energy.
-Start with 0 lives.
-Boss weakness are different than MM4.
-Boss AI edited. (EX Version patches only)
-The Max number of E-Tanks is now 4 instead of 9.
-Music not inserted.
-Some bosses have HP above 28. (EX Version patches only)
-Weapon Consuption edited.
-Game Stats and Levels Edited.
-Cannot access to Passwords in Title Screen.
-Some text edited.

.:: Screenshots ::.

.:: Videos ::.

.:: Downloads ::.

Insectduel's Domain
ROM-Hacking dot net

.:: Some comments ::.

I properly may not work on Showdown 3 because people are asking for it and I'm not really interested in it because MM3 is not one of my favorites. And I may need to get back to Showdown 2 in August. My most recent version is Version 0.53 of MMS2. And MMS6 proberly needs a 2.0 version if I wanted to but then again, I should do some short term Mega Man ASM projects or even SMAS or try to finish my Mega Man 1 hack. OR get started with my long term Mega Man 4 project.

Please feel free to hotlink the download link or redistribute it in another uploader. Most importantly, Enjoy my hack.

Looking foward to play this. Since Mega Man IV is my favorite game I myself should start a long-term project anytime soon. I've just need to create some of the short-term ASM projects first. Like Re-coding the Rush Jet into MM3 style.

Currently, I have failed to create a fast scrolling patch by rock5easily into the US version of Mega Man IV due to the fact that the VRAM data is completely different formats from Rockman 4 and the rom offsets are way off the line.

And I have no idea what is Haikei patch does from rock5easily. At least the source code is provided for Haikei whenever I going to code it into another version.

So far your work is good so far since I saw Propelman's level yesterday.
