Flurry #&postrank& It still hasn't progressed since December 2005 when I last worked on board2 (before this) ... it was coming up nicely, but now the board would be a priority until it's completed enough
But here's a preview anyway of what did get done at the time Main screen Battle room Fighting ____________________ |

Flurry #&postrank& I changed the font sizes to their equivalent values in em units for now, but I guess a little bigger (like +1px) wouldn't hurt ... I made the board layout back when I was still on 800x600 most of the time, after all ____________________ |

Flurry #&postrank& Not sure what it could be since it worked earlier (and I even changed mine maybe a hour ago), but it's probably nothing wrong on your side ...
The resizing (and resaving in PNG, dropping transparency and GIF animation) only happens if the image is too large, otherwise it uses the image as is, so resize it before uploading. It also resizes a copy to fit 60x60 in the memberlist no matter what, so everyone will get the black background there ... but that's better than letting irregular image sizes making the page look like crap ____________________ |

Flurry #&postrank& They renamed Aiya to Pamela Anderson, too
Too bad I can only check in the photo album, with the memberlist now disabled there ... I know I saw a few other name changes like that earlier ... Taking the chance to post in thread 1 before it's too late ____________________ |

Flurry #&postrank& You forgot to blank out Emuz, he's been gone even longer than me ... even Tina took his place here
I'm not expecting it to actually change anytime soon, though ____________________ |

Flurry #&postrank& So just now, I got renamed to "A user", banned, password changed, and even the link I put to here in my profile (as well as the layout) is gone
All that's even left of "Acmlm's Board" there is the AcmlmBoard version it's running, and board history they're pretty much killing ____________________ |

Flurry #&postrank& All it needs is "border=0" added to the replacement, but that's an easy fix and will affect all existing posts too ____________________ |

Flurry #&postrank& Same here, I've seen everything Wii related for sale except the Wii itself, and we've been wanting one for at least 2 months already ... although some of my sisters' friends apparently have one, do they did sell here for a while ____________________ |

Flurry #&postrank& Fixed now too, just had to remove the page number for all the top links ... it does make sense since you're either getting a different set of users or a different order ____________________ |

Flurry #&postrank& It's slightly off actually since people rushed to register the first few accounts before I was even done setting up the tables, including the view count ... but then some non-page scripts might increment it at times too
We're only averaging a little more per day than before, but that's with less people ... ____________________ |

Flurry #&postrank& Posted by XkeeperIt's only a few queries (only the daily stats in stats.php would be wrong), but I might as well leave it like this ... At least the ACS can still be based on EST if I make it 6:00 AM server time ____________________ |

Flurry #&postrank& Posted by JDavisThat's because they use the decimal based units, while we normally see binary based units in Windows ... 750 billion bytes is 698GB, so there you have it - Pentium IV 3.2GHz - 2GB RAM (originally 1GB, which was just enough for my needs and multitasking) - 149GB disk space, 100GB free (will go up a bit once I take the time to copy some of my stuff to DVD-R's) - ATI Radeon X700 (good enough for me, I just didn't want crap onboard) - 19" LCD screen running 1280x1024 - Windows XP SP2 I got mine in December 2005 for cheap, it's not too bad even now ... Almost half of my used disk space is ROMs, and that's with a lot of old crap dating back to 2002 still on my computer ____________________ |

Flurry #&postrank& For a while when I was at secondary school, they installed a program that limited access to things ... people just booted into safe mode and removed it from there (that was like 8 years ago with computers that ran Windows 95)
I bet someone smart enough would still find a way to disable the newer crap, either by renaming/deleting files, editing the registry or using safe mode ... unless they also locked disk access and such ____________________ |

Flurry #&postrank& Posted by misterjPretty much, yesPosted by AilurePosted by XkeeperIt better not lead to a huge quote chain now... But on topic, quoting the last post always annoyed me too (unless it's for a small part) ... there's a few more examples of that in the photo thread too, do we really need to see each picture 3 times just for a few comments ____________________ |

Flurry #&postrank& I use grouping but only to sort taskbar buttons by program, not to group them in one ... it does work much better vertically, I've had a vertical taskbar for about 4 years now (and usually around 20 task buttons on it too)
Reminds me of some small experiment I did 2 months ago: What 2GB RAM and a vertical taskbar can fit (that didn't even lag me much) ____________________ |

Flurry #&postrank& Or getting 2-3 hours of sleep 3 days in a row, like me this week ... although I've still done worse a few times
As for silly board descriptions, here's what I had on my test copy of board2: dsfjlkhsdgjsd is a nice topic ____________________ |

Flurry #&postrank& Not good either if someone is doing a research on cats and found a site in French (yes, that's "chat" in French) ... but how likely is that
At worst, we could just make a special filter for "chat" here, but that'd be pretty stupid ____________________ |

Flurry #&postrank& Just one thing to keep in mind is that the coins gained per post go up, so the same price eventually becomes cheaper for you ... but then that'd also mean you get to use those special features more often once you've been active for a while ____________________ |
