Not sure whether if this is a bug or something, but everytime when I try to save my event scripts, the editor tells me I don't have enough space. After deleting 2 useless event scripts (The ones used in the debug room), I was able to save it. However, when I close the script editor and come back later to add like 1 or 2 lines of scripting to the one I was currently working on, I get the error about not having enough space again.

Is this a bug, or does a line or 2 actually take up a lot of space?

I'm confident that its not a bug. Your going to have to be more specific about exactly what to do in order to reproduce this for me to figure out if its a bug or not.

The event scripts are scattered across multiple banks, and because of the way it works, we have keep all scripts in their respective banks. What that means is that even if you have a bunch of free space in bank X, you may run out of space in bank Y.

You can keep track of the amount of space you have free by looking at the "Available Bytes: " counter in the bottom left of the Scripts Editor. This updates in real time, and displays the amount of space you have left in the current bank (not in total).

There will be a more comprehensive way to analyze scripts in the next release (similar to the "Space Analyzer" in the Level Editor).

That's probably because it was created before we started work on LazyShell. Its likely a conflict between scripts resulting from scripting the events by hand. LazyShell manages all the script and pointer references for you. Editing scripts by hand would cause them to go out of sync.

If the version you found works with LS I should probably replace the old one on Cirrus.

The scripts, especially the event scripts are scattered throughout different banks, and thus, the "Available Bytes" counter only shows the amount left in the relevant bank, which is why that value changed when you went to a script that was located in a different bank, but not when you viewed one in the same bank.

I'm not so sure that its "dead", but the decline in interest is probably due to the learning curve, my lack of presence around here lately, and the yet unreleased V2.0 that fixed bugs, adds features, and improves the UI. Combine that with the fact that there are so few people here that will ever create anything half-decent and we have our answer.

You may also want to consider that for the last month or so, anyone in post-secondary would have been far too busy to do any sort of rom-hacking. Now that summer is here I think we will see more activity all-around.

I will say that V2.0 is coming along, and now that summer is here its likely that itll be finished soon.

Omega can't program anything at all user friendly. Stop blaming the "steep learning curve", blame the shitty author instead.

I just love it when those with no skill themselves try to insult the work of others. The fact that you think the problem is that I can't "program user friendly" shows just how ignorant you are. I might as well inform you that Design is what should be user friendly. Whether the code is the hardest thing in the world to understand or the easiest, the user gets the same experience. If I had any respect for you I might feel the least bit slighted, however your reputation speaks for itself. Nice try, but I have to deal with the ignorant all the time. Simply knowing that I will always be better than you is enough to keep me smiling .
