@Insectduel If the sprite data is the same for the GB version tho, but you have to deal with bank swapping (w/c you had problems with)

Announcing the release of ROLL-CHAN 3 IMPROVEMENT patch.

As many Mega Man fans may know by now, Mega Man 3 was released back in 1990 for the NES. However, along with the release of the game, it was already suffering with unresolved bugs and unimplemented features that could have made the game better. After 20 years, kuja killer created a Mega Man 3 Improvement (MM3I) patch for not only the US version of the game, but also for the Japanese version. It fixed all known bugs, like the Top Spin energy drain and the mosaic in the Stage Select screen; and he added more features for the game, like the Exit command and the real-time weapon switching. After the next few years, he made it as far as supplementing the game with an introduction movie, shown here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bed6y5sX03E

With that achievement, Zynk took the time to create a Roll-chan version of the improved Mega Man 3 game. Applying the patch with the Roll-chan 3 was very simple, but with the changes made in MM3I, more hacking was needed. And with the new Intro-scene, Zynk made a Roll-chan version of it, too.

2) I give you my pressimission, if you'd like ...to uhhh...im not sure how to explain this really but i'll try.
First use mm3 improvement ROM (well ...the patches already made for it ) and uhhh... apply your seperate Roll Chan patches to that (each rom's) ....THEN make a IPS patch for it.

It should work, at least i hope. That way people dont need to apply 2 seperate patches, just ONLY yours which will have both mm3 improve, and roll chan.

If that makes sense. I had a hard time trying to explain.

You mean create a straightforward patch so that it can be applied directly to a clean ROM?

Sorry if I didn't ask permission on the patch creation should been made. I'm relieved that you gave your permission, I'll create a standalone Lunar patch then.

You can't normally hack the titlescreen in 3, 4 and 5 with a hex editor.

Use MEGAFLE X - http://www.romhacking.net/utilities/333/

Try looking into board2's Uploader, too.

I'm also simultaneously making a Wily Wars game (maybe I'll call it 'Megaman the Wily Wars - Mega Edition' or something) that will allow people to play all of the different characters (Megaman, Protoman, Bass... even Roll, and maybe as an unlockable bonus X and Zero and some others... some villains even hehe? lol).
- As well as include remakes of Megaman 4 - 10 + Megaman & Bass (hopefully there will be enough ROM memory to not have to split it into 2 different Game ROMs).

If you need help with the sprites, maybe the ppl at Sprites Inc may help you.
I hope you develop the sprite editor soon, that would really help.

Those Protoman sprites are sweet! The original seems unrefined direct NES port of his sprite, and it made Megaman look taller. A playable Bass would be cool even if his playing style wasn't implemented.

If you need help with Roll, I'd like to help. I did the NES Roll-chan hacks, btw.

Anyway, one of the things I always wanted to, which to this day I still have not done, is make a complete hack (levels, graphics, music, ASM, etc.). So, I started this hack about a month ago. I don't have a title for it yet, but it's a Megaman 2 hack.

@Zieldak I presume this is a level hack? I haven't done any level hacks so don't count me on that.

The readme says:

1.) Do not try to unzip the Zelda3 IQ 2-0.zip file.

2.) Run the file Zelda3 IQ 2-0.zip as it is in the EMU of your
choice.
He probably mean load the .zip like a ROM. But it doesn't work.

This is an English translation of Konami Wai Wai World for the NES!

Zynk is sure that 100% of texts were taken care of, from title screen to ending credits.

Aside from translating, Zynk has a bad habit of modifying not only the text but also the graphics of the game as well. (see Readme for the list of changes)

I've been reading the NEOぼろくず工房 page as of 12/30/2016. My reading translation from Japanese is not perfect. Near the final paragraph, PureSabe announced that he is going to release his new years hack of Rockman X on January 1st in between 12:15am and 12:45am in Japan time. That means in the USA it is December 31st probably around 1:15PM and 1:45PM.

Keep an eye on PureSabe's website folks.
He usually uses robot masters related to the Chinese New Year.
2014 is Horse = Centaur Man
2015 is Sheep = Sheep Man
2016 is Monkey = Spark Mandrill, a sudden jump to Mega Man X (though there's Buster Rod G, but he didn't used him)
2017 is Rooster = there's Burn Rooster.. I'm guessing Puresabe could be developing a SNES version for Burn Rooster (calling it!)

Glad you figured out Kega.

Need any bug report? I get this weapon glitch when switching weapons, sometimes the player's attack gets disabled. When moving to the next screen, it gets fixed (or die when reaching the boss room).

And why does Flashman's BGM changed to MM3 Wily Castle 3-4 theme?
