I fell out of hacking for a while - College & Friends and stuffs :3 Now that everyone's going back, I'm deciding to use some spare time to do a little hacking. Abused Nope will come after another Raeneske hack... Hint hint.

Ehhhh, the diffiulty on some things is very evident. Like making entrances to other places on the map... Yeah -.- I like always make nope mistakes.
But it really isnt that hard really, once you get accustomed to the terminology and stuff. This is the only hacking I do besides Super Nope Brothers 3.

This hack is difficult, I know it is. Super difficult. So, beating it on level 1 will be a super challenge. You know? I'd say fight enemies and try it while leveling up first.

EDIT: January 17th. Check the top for a new link. The Disciple shop should now work -.-

I'm not sure if this belongs here, but I have a problem.

So, after Mario Reaches level 30 in my hack, a problem arises....
He doesnt stop leveling up....
I got to 46 before going "okay seriously, what the heck"
Is this something that happened in Lazy Shell, or did I do something wrong? :/

Edit: Okay, so he goes all the way to level 252 before stopping -.- What in the world happened here?

Lazy Shell is the only editor I use, and it happened to the original rom i was editing. I was playing like normal then boom, Glitch City =/

My only guess is that there are pointers to leveling up, and mine is broken somehow, because I edited the stats I guess? =/

Checked, no inconsistencies as far as I can see... which brings me back to my original idea. Are any of the pointers in event scripts related to leveling up? Cause i know the pointers themselves ( a couple ) Had a few issues when I added or slowed down music to an event. I have a problem with the door with the elder key in boosters tower that i still have yet to bother to fix, and I had to re-edit the pointers for the disciples shop in Seaside Town.

* GLITCH FOUND - MAJOR WARNING

Reaching Level 30 Causes (at least in my game) Mario to continuously level up all the way to level 252, which is stupid and pointless. Sooo.... Right now, i'll leave the link up, but i'm considering this game right now to be BROKEN. :/ Sorry all.

KP9000

I fixed it
It had to do with the fact that I had pointers not set to anything for the first world, and the first level had not ended.

So... ONE Giant step done.

The other idea is - The Music Inserter. I literally haven't a clue what to do with it. know it goes hand in hand with this but still... I'm a noob hacker, aside from Super Mario RPG, I don't know SQUAT.

Edit: Nevermind. Figured it all out in theory. Test myself when i get home. :o

Edit as of 4/3/2012
New Songs completed: 8/22
Editing of Current Levels completed: 28/28
New Levels Added in: 3/3

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukZ-bH-QJF8

Edit 2/22/2012
This update is announce the following

Super Mario Brothers 3 Raeneske Version 3.0 (Final Version) is underway. Mainly, focusing on graphical problems, and probably solving more issues that arise in the game... Oh yeah, and one more Final Thing to add to make this game unique
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CuU1pCwrzE

Edit 2/19/2012

*****SMART UPDATE: Please, when fighting The Koopa Kids, please be sure to be on the FURTHEST SIDE of the screen (on the right), and that it can scroll no more. If you are not, it can cause a level exit problem, in which enemies dont clear off the screen and you are unable to finish the level. It really isnt that much of a pain or too much to ask for. Enemies are shifted to allow this possible.
If you use Savestates (lol, if) Then please, save right before entering a level, it can save much frustration in case something like this happens and you are unable to exit the level. In a future update (if I do so) I will make an automatic death available in case you have a problem and fail to get the screen all the way over.

Version 2.0 of this hack is complete!
Version 2.0 Includes an all new path that the player can take. This New Path is much more challenging and includes new battles, different powerups, and different bonuses.
There are 2 Paths in This Game Now. The Top Path is the new, added path, that adds MUCH difficulty to the game, and is designed uniquely to be challenging to players, while still trying to stay true to the Game's creativity.

The New Path takes up mostly the top of the screen. The old game's path, the top parts have been shifted around, and the levels moved around to be more pleasing to the eye.

***If you have save stated, and would like to continue your game, you may do so only if you do the following:
IF you only JUST completed levels 1 - 5, Quicksand, Fire Flower Pipe, 9 and to the end, YOU CAN repatch the original smb3 rom, rename it what you already have your savestates name, and press load. You MUST (crucial) die and that will force the screen to push you back to the last level completed. These ones are not moved, and your game will be patched completely, with no problems.

AGAIN, I REPEAT, YOU CANNOT BE LUIGI IN THIS HACK - HE REPEATS MARIO'S LEVELS INDEFINITLY, HE CANNOT BE USED.

**All ScreenShots, are from the older version, but this does not matter as these levels are still in the game, and still the same levels**

A level you can repeat, that is like owning a permanent Mushroom

Using the ice block to hit the vine block

Swimming in the deep... Black Sea...

Airship/Tank Level, avoiding bullets.

The first level I played where I wanted to severly punch my keyboard multiple times.

I thank God and Jesus through all this Creativity has been outdone on my own standards, but what will your opinions be?

Any comments, questions, concerns, you can add it below.
I do not know If I will expand this game anymore, it is already pretty large, and the new path pretty much takes up all the numbers already used. If anything, maybe i'd add like a new castle or something.

In Depth Description:
This hack is a One World Hack, filled with 28 New Levels, 3 Power Up Pipes, and 2 Different Types of Mushroom Houses, and a Level Re-Do Spade "Game".

There are TWO paths in this game, that allow the user to take control of his/her own destiny. The Bottom Path is the easiest, and the Top Path is very difficult.

Both Paths have their very own last levels, and both with their own Power Up Pipes.

Take Control of Mario and Beat either path, or tackle both paths to bring the game to completetion.

Uh, So I have a question, before I go home and test it.

You know how you can place the Koopa Kid's in a level?
Are they directly related to the World you're in, or can I "trick" the game into thinking you're in world 2, but really world 1?

If I open up the level in Notepad, can I change the information on the sprite - to resemble the Koopa Kid I want of that world?

TLR

How do I change which Koopa Kid appears in the level?

Nope, it's supposed to extend to that file size.
And to be honest. I dont really understand what that means, or those banks. From what i've seen, the file from Vimm.net works if you haven't already downloaded the original ROM.

I believe any would work. Yes, 1.25 is giant, but that is the correct size.
It is a 1 World Hack, yes, dont let the size however intimidate you.

2 Things.

1. I havent the slightest idea how to do that. Like that would fix a ton of "problems in the game" and the Koopas are most assuredly one of them, no doubt. But I dont get what you're doing, and yes I looked at the thread and my brain goes, "What am I supposed to do with this" Now, I semi-know what I'm doing with hex editing, thats how i'm doing the music. But I cant even comprehend whats happening with the RAM data for that.

2. I cant patch the Luigi Patch, it would corrupt my game. I dont have a normal type ROM, so I think if anything, that patch would corrupt my game and render it useless. I may have to look up to see how to Hex Edit that out if its possible, cause I WILL do it Manually if I can.

Hey guys (and girls maybe, idk) as i'm back from Spring Break, Im back to editing this game, levels and music included.

To start off, I dont plan on using music from other Mario Games, I really dont want any problems nor do I wanna go through any issues of finding the sheet music, and trying to decipher it, then trying to code it into the game. This allows creativity to flow smoothly and allows me to interpret each level song, etc. etc. etc. I do not know how much of the videogame music will remain intact. I do not really want any of the Original Games music in there anymore, I want to add my own feel for these types of levels.

The Levels - Now I received a review that states it this way, "Good Ideas, Bad Execution." I've taken that to heart, and I thank the reviewer who let me know how he actually felt about it. So, The levels will remain generally intact. There will be one or two new levels, i'm thinking two (maybe three, now that I think about it cause of one level that really shouldnt be a level, but a castle), one for easy path and two for tough path, and each level will undergo "Mario Surgery". In the levels I will probably be adding more detail, and fix a couple of things that need to be fixed, maybe deal with a couple of glitches that I could easily fix. On levels that were mainly just Koopa Kid levels, (except the end fights of course) (also refered to by the reviewer as filler levels) I will be fixing so that they have an entire level established around them, so they just arent Koopa Kid fights.

Force convert....

Ah, no never! There's just a lot of stuff happening around this world to Christians, and all I can look up and say is "-sigh- Prophecy."

Did you hear about all the Christian churches that were destroyed... I cannot for the life of me remember, but somewhere way east.

Thanks! (=

"The violence in northern Nigeria is mistakenly viewed as a religious conflict rather than simply a tribal dispute over land, according to the Obama administration. Despite the ongoing Muslim destruction of churches and the slaughter of Christians, including many murdered during worship services."

There was also another article, where they were testing torture on Christians, to see how the belief interfered with their ability to feel pain. I gotta refind that article.

http://www.wnd.com/2012/05/christian-messages-banned-in-buffalo/

Something even a bit more ridiculous than i've ever seen^

I have a friend who is also Agnostic. We talked about the Bible once, but the only thing he didn't understand really was Noah's Ark. Like he understood the story, but he asks a lot of the same questions others ask, "How could all those animals fit onto that ark?" It was an interesting conversation though.
