probably end up installing it even though I don't want to because XP will be out of date and there'll be yet another reason I can't get Linux to work.

This is what'll probably happen to me, I won't want to upgrade to Vista, but I'll be forced to, bleah.

I figured the puzzle out, but for some reason the shell got stuck in the brick's place, that's what my screenshot was of, it stopped doing this when I ran it again, strange. Anyway, I'll finish the hack and comment on the other levels later.
EDIT:

Level 5: Pretty good, however, you can see where the hidden blocks are by the pallete of the background.

Fortress: The spinny-shiny-thingy (I don't know what to call those things) jumps are done well, but that's about all this level is, too short.

Level 6: A tough level, but fine, the one part with the three Boomerang Bros. is a bit overboard though.

Ship: Pretty frantic, but in a fun way, also too short.

The levels, overall, are pretty good, but the difficulty varies a large amount, and the major problem is that alot of the levels are just too short, they're difficult, and usually pretty fun while they last, but they don't last very long.

Looks like you left right before I joined. Anyway, welcome(back)! And yeah, I remember thought the second incarnation had an entire forum for newbie introductions, but it's not in the archive, then again, neither is general chat. But I didn't really like that anyway (If I didn't completely imagine it). It got kinda spammy (If it actually existed), and I don't like feeling obligated to introduce myself, I'm not sure why, a newbie thread seems the perfect idea.

The reason why, said by a man much better than I

This man is now my hero. Seriously though, I agree with most of what he said, pertaining to 7 alone anyway, I don't think that all of 8-11 were crap(9 is one of my favorites, and 8 and 10 were pretty good) FF7 was an okay game, but not near as good as many people make it out to be. It's the only FF I got completely bored with and could not continue playing, that says something.

If I were to be on that show, I'd pick case 13, just to annoy people that believe in bad luck, and to prove them wrong.

Would you rather he said, "about to buy the farm"?

Or, "About to kick the bucket"? I have a feeling this will turn into a thread of expressions for near-death. In all seriousness though, I can't stand when people fight about money, or try win people that are deciding inheritance over. Especially within a family, everyone should get an equal share, or it should go to charity, that is it. No playing favorites, or fighting over who gets the most money, an even split, or none at all, otherwise, it just tears the family apart, and that's bad. If I got more money than my family from an inheritance, I'd divide up the extra I got until everyone had an equal share, it's just better for everyone involved if people get an equal amount.

It also bothers me that people's relatives can be nearing the end of their life span, and they are more worried about how much money they'll get from their death than the fact one of their dear relatives may die, in a few years even, but that's just the way people are. I can't stand people.

It's been raining almost 48 hours non-stop here. Tomorrow it's supposed to clear up, but then it's going to rain again on Thursday. I don't really mind though. I prefer cloudy days to sunny days, and I like the sound of rain. For some reason the sun makes me depressed when I see it.

1813. Getting into the horrible habit of doing my homework when I'm supposed to be asleep, maybe posting this will make me go work on it.

1816. Putting my best effort into a school project and not getting a great mark.

Agreement. Also:
1817. 24 hours a day. That is not enough.

Even distribution is ideal, but maybe one person needs more? If you're lounging in your recliner watching your high-def TV while your brother is working double shifts just to pay the rent, well...

Yeah, I have no problem with having less money if someone else needs more, but other people do, so if I am in a position where I can sacrifice some to help that relative, sure, but to prevent the selfish people from possibly screwing it all up, even distribution first, personal contribution later. I'd wind up with the short end of the stick, but it's not like I'd be depending on that money anyway, and they'd need it more.

EDIT: I'll give an example of what I speak of:
Lets say there are three brothers getting an inheritance.
I am Brother A
Brother B is selfish to the point of rediculosity
Brother C is in need of the money much more than either of us
If brother C gets the majority outright, brother B will get angry about it, demanding equality, and a huge conflict develops, this is bad. However, if the money is distributed evenly to all three, Brother B gets his share, not straining family relations any more than they probably already are, I can give a good amount of the money I got to Brother C, since I don't really need it, and everyone is happy.

I'm a tad late, but happy birthday all the same. And that shirt is very awesome. Congratulations on the big 18. Although technically it's past midnight where I am, so it's not actually your birthday anymore. I fail.

Two happy birthday posts within 15 minutes, madness! Anyway, happy birthday to you as well, and it actually is your birthday where I live! Hope the day goes fine, odd, you're going to start a day, I'm going to end one, oh well. Good night, and good luck.

The longest my power has been out is a few hours. I guess I'm lucky. As for thunderstorms, I don't have a problem with the actual weather unless I'm trying to sleep, but I don't want to risk frying any computers or consoles, etc. so I go an turn off and unplug them all, I'm kinda paranoid about my electronic stuff. This means that a bad enough thunderstorm leaves me bereft of anything to do but portable games(still good, but no internet, boo), no electronics, I'm not going outside in a T-storm, and since we get satellite TV, a T-storm bad enough to scare me into "Unplug EVERYTHING!!!!!1111" mode is certainly bad enough to take out our TV. Thunderstorms means either lack of sleep or I need to stop what I was doing beforehand(unless it was on a portable) right away.

1859. Essays in spanish class, they must be written in spanish. (I really should've taken another language, but my school really doesn't offer a single language I'd like to learn )

Am I the only person who has played this? (And other, harder hacks?)
I demand you give us (all of) these hacks (the .ips files of course ).

Yes Shadic, you know you want to, allow us to torture ourselves! Seriously, please upload, or at least tell where you got them from. I've been wanting to play it since I saw it. (I must be a video-game masochist )

I've never been in an accident, I guess I'm lucky, although I've had to pass by way too many. Seriously, why does a wreck and the police talking to a guy draw so much attention? Just keep driving so we people who don't need to see the stupid wreck can get on with our lives as soon as possible. And yes, I must agree with Hyper, KP. Racism = bad.

What, you expect to be able to write essays for a Spanish class in English?

Hah, no, but it's very annoying to write long essays in a non-native language about frivolous things I'd never talk about. And I'd be happy if I could not take a language, since none my school offers interest me, but colleges <3 languages, so bleah.

1872. Having to spend your entire High School existence worrying about how things you do affect the college you can go to.
1873. People who have nothing better to do than make every other person they talk to's life hell.

Finally got round to making a new title screen:
image removed to conserve bandwidth and lower post size

And yeah, thanks to Smallhacker, there's no longer a 2 player game; you get to select your player instead. Mario and Luigi look and control different, and certain areas of the game are restricted to each player, so you have to use both to finish the game completely.

That looks very interesting, chances are I'll like the Luigi game better if the differences are similar to the ones usually made, character-exclusive levels = great Idea, and the title screen is nice too, looks new and good, and yet classic at the same time.

I agree with sirhax0r, up to and including the 1st half of the Samus fight-awesome, 2nd half of fight to end of fighting - stupid, onward - retarded, I stopped watching. Although I must say, this person has real talent with making movies, on the technical side anyway, and I very much enjoyed the first part of the video.
