eMachines T6520, never a problem, and I fuck with it a lot, I've probably installed a new operating system more than 100 time now, and I've had it for 2 year.
Specs I know off the top of my head, 1 GB Ram 200 GB Hard Drive AMD Athlon 64-bit 6 USB slots Dual booting Vista and Ubuntu 7.04 I'd like to say eMachines being shit, is a load of crap, it depends on which model you get, if you pay for shit, you're going to get shit, but if you pay a little more, you'll get a nice computer for your money. At least that is what I found. ____________________ ![]() |

I've had my rounds with both of them. I have problems with both, but I find Gnome to be better personally.
Gnome: +Looks nice and clean +I prefer it's default apps -Lack of customization KDE: +Whoa I can change that, cool -Konquerer - Explorer only for Linux -My desktop looks like it was manufactured by fisher-price! I've had times where I prefered KDE, and times of switching back and forth constantly, but currently I'm with Gnome... and don't see myself changing any time soon. ____________________ ![]() |

Last I checked, most Linux distros will mount NTFS. Why not get you files that you don't want to lose that way, and then reinstall everything? ____________________ ![]() |

Posted by Darkdata ![]() Just because I can, I did. Appears the board filters out class names, you have to style elements inline if you want to style them. ____________________ ![]() |

Posted by Craig341 Nice post. I'm interested in seeing how this works, namely if it's just like every other battle thing added to someone's board, or if it's something spiffier (using Craig341's terminology). I'm hoping for something spiffier. ____________________ ![]() |

With captain's, and mutiny, and pirates... argh.
Actually I was pretty pissed the one who left did, he was thinking like a pirate, and playing the game like a pirate, and he won the damn challenge for them. Plus the captain is a prick. ____________________ ![]() |

If you've never had these meals, you've got to try them.
I'm a fan of the Three Cheese Chicken, Alfredo, and Garlic Potato and Beef Steak, the Garlic Chicken isn't half bad either. Linkage And there fairly inexpensive too. ____________________ ![]() |

Posted by joe They don't have any cd-sized iso's available for Fedora 7. That just seems weird. I don't see why they would go that route, hell the entire Ubuntu Live CD fits on a single CD. Seems like Fedora/Redhat is only hurting themselves. Plus why not Ubuntu. I used to be big on Fedora, that is until Ubuntu was placed onto my harddrive, it'd take a lot for me to go back to anything else. ____________________ ![]() |

Posted by Xkeeper I'm well aware of how many cd's most distros take to install, I'm just surprised Fedora 7 (they dropped the core now) doesn't offer a cd install. Hell Vista even has a cd install availbable (5 cd's I believe). ____________________ ![]() |

Straight up Ubuntu, nothing else. Mostly because everytime I try to dual boot, I just get pissed off at having to reboot to switch to do whatever I want to do on other OS. I weighed my options, and found Ubuntu to be the winner (mostly because the only reason I'd ever boot into windows for was gaming). ____________________ ![]() |

Less than 5 seconds of searching got me this.
http://dev.live.com/contacts/ Nevermind that, I didn't read the post before I looked, although after reading that I believe all your contacts are stored on Microsoft's side and really doubt they are stored on your computer. You could try contacting some sort of support from MS, and telling them your situation. ____________________ ![]() |
