I think different programs have different little variations to the BMP header, and some programs just aren't very robust with their reader that they can't compensate for it. I've had similar problems with stuff like this as well with other programs. Try saving it in MS Paint asa 16 colour bitmap, that seems the most abundant kind of BMP around so the most supported.

Not really. Wore out a DS Lite: L button didn't work, speakers stopped working (audio worked through the headphone jack) general scuffing and whatnot, I got a new pink one. I also wore out a Logitech controller somewhat where the D-pad would stick occasionally but I'm sure it was crappy to begin with, it was already pretty cheapo.

As for out of anger? No, I can't recall. When I was a kid I was a real wimp and now I just don't get that mad at games anymore. :p

My name is Paul and I'm a guy. Also a complete lack of an imagination.

That's pretty generic virus behaviour and not enough information to make a diagnosis. I imagine a hijackthis log would be more informative, but someone who knows Windows a bit better might be of more help.

Other than some occasional diarrhea or something, not really.

Probably about a year or 2? Not long at all, and I haven't released any hacks. I just come here for the conversation and to see what ROM hacks people are working on. I might make something someday, when I get out of this lazy slump.

Oh, I forgot to say in my other post, but I've never broken anything out of anger. I slightly broke my N64 controller's joystick playing Smash Bros, though. It'll only go to half the directional intensity you push it to. My brother keeps scolding me for doing the same thing to my gamecube controller, even though it's not in the slightest bit damaged.

I'm like paulguy. A wimp. =\

I'm not too wimpy, anymore. :p I just don't play games enough or get mad at them enough to throw stuff.

When I was younger I used to pound the keyboard when I was mad, but the keyboard I had was pretty solid and again, wimpy little kid.

Not very much. The occasional pepsi or coke, but not for the caffeine and it doesn't really do anything for me anyway. Even more rare is coffee, when I need to stay up for whatever reason but it crashes bad or makes me shakey.

Whether the motherboard can take a different CPU really depends on the board. If you can find the model of the board, you can find out what CPUs it'll take. As for the 8400, I'd get something a bit stronger, but with less vram, if price is an issue. 512MB is still very good, and it'll run better in the end. I had an 8500 which ran alright, but probably wouldn't do too well at really intensive games. To give you an idea: It _can_ play portal at full settings at around 1280x720, but it can get kinda choppy at times. It was uselessly slow at 1920x1080, if you're a resolution freak.

yeah, best to go a bit over. 550 tends to be alright unless you're stuffing 2 high powered video cards and a bunch of hard disks in there. Even 450 would probably be fine with the CPU and a midrange card.

I believe in zsnesw.cfg contains a mouse sensivity setting. I'm not 100% sure but it's worth a look, either way.

Otherwise, just invoke it from the command line.

It may have went in to 16 colour mode or something and he's misinterpreting it.

Way too much Blockland. It's pretty addictive. It's just a lego building game, unfortunately it costs money so it doesn't have a very large userbase but I imagine that's for the best... most of the users are bad enough as it is. Lots of retards and self-important 14 year olds.
Aside from the retards, there's a single player mode and a lot of modability and more-or-less scriptable bricks (events).

I have a Logitech G5. It works alright except I need to get a mouse pad with a better texture since it hates my desk. I have it set to the maximum weight and the sensitivity on medium, most of the time. I turn the sensitivity down if im doing something precise. I never change the weight, though, because I hate really light mice. I used to have a laptop mouse that was really small but had issues with bumping it off the desk since I'd reach for it and miss and it'd go flying, and I just don't like a complete lack of resistance when im moving the mouse.

Need more information! What price range are you looking for? Do you prefer nvidia or ATi? What expansion slots do you have? What OSes do you run? What are the other specs of your machine?

Nope, not really. I used to fight with my sister when I was younger. I was extremely wimpy back then, though. Now they don't happen between us and haven't happened otherwise as far as school or otherwise is concerned. I always kept to myself and stayed out of any drama.

A zillion things? You mean like ... a patcher? Maybe an expander? Anyway, asking for commercial ROMs, even if patched, is against the rules, since posting of those ROMs is illegal.
