...when they put "preferences" in the edit menu... just a beef with this FF that came with ubuntu, I recall "preferences/settings"etc under tools or settings or something in everything else. standards man

Whats the point on acting on something you don't actually care that much about? I don't like seeing homeless people sleep in old houses but I don't actually care about them or that they're in the old houses. When there is nothing better to do however, I'd sure love to bitch about it.
I've been on the internet all day since I got home from school, I seriously have nothing better to do. Bad example because hobos fucking suck, but whatever. You should get what I'm trying to say. ____________________ |

a few nitpicks, mostly due to size and perspective;
the shadows seem as if the house was very high up, but it doesn't look too high up. The black line on the side of the house looks really out of place because there are almost no interior black lines anywhere else on the image (consistency is key  )
The bottom of the chimney doesn't follow the roof angle, and the top of the chimney looks crooked because the black section doesn't follow the lines. Overall its a great start, defenitely a huge improvement on your other attempt  . If you're serious about fooling with pixelart I suggest posting at pixelation, because the people there can defenitely be alot more helpful than I

Didn't want to cause horizontal scrollbar illnesses. Started importing the "cleaner" (ditherfree) graphics at school last night. I'll be porting it to a JFrame (as opposed to an applet) soon. For the BG, should I go with 2xzoom pixelart, or just some smooth brushwork? No way in hell am I going to make a 640x480 pixel image just for this :p edit: it is now applet-free. Once I get some things I want to add (Background, pretty graphics, 5x5, 15x15 modes, maybe a map editor although I plan on only doing random maps for now. (I'm mainly making this for myself; its no fun if you already know what the map is )____________________ |

Posted by optomon Maybe you should point out to those people whining about difficulty that you put a new item in the game that makes you invincible whenever you want. I don't know about you guys, but when I can beat a game in one sitting without really putting any effort into it, it really devalues beating the game. Have you ever heard someone brag about beating a retard in checkers? Because thats how easy most games I've played these days are. I finally got around to playing this game and I'm up to slogra. I love how so many of the enemies and bosses in here aren't just graphical hacks. I thought the first level was a little bit *too* reminiscent structure-wise of the original, however the second and third didn't feel similar at all. Another thing was I felt the colors were too tame (? dunno if thats the word I was looking for - everythign just seemed monochrome and tinted to one thing or another, with little variation in the actual ramps) I also liked how you could off orlox's head. I too felt they should've allowed you to break things other than the occasional wall 
fun shit. One more thing to note. this post is really unorganized and I don't feel like fixing it. ____________________ |
