In no particular order:

Motoi Sakuraba.
Yasunori Shiono. (Lufia II for example)
Noriyuki Iwadare.
Jeroen Tel.
Jason C. Brooke.
Matt Gray.

This is composers I like aside from the obvious Kondo and Uematsu.

Yay, somebody mentions our good old Dutch Jeroen Tel

Also, I am amazed nobody mentioned Tim Follin yet.

Sukasa, are you a Firefox fanboy?
Your post layout fails in both IE and Opera, In Opera your "Sukasa" logo with the black/blue grid behind it sporadically flashes in Nightkev's post, and IE does not display it at all.
Post layouts should work in all three big browsers, or at least Opera and Firefox which both pass the Acid2 test.

Noooo you fool! No flamebaiting about browsers in a music thread! No flamebaiting about browsers in any thread! No twinkie for you. Go buy a Jedi Training Helmet if Sukasa's layout bothers you so much.

Incidentally (and perhaps hypocritically), this is exactly why I wrote Slime's layout in tables.

I thought it would just be good to inform him of the problem, and starting a thread for it would be stupid.

A training helmet blocks all layouts, which is not what I want. Sukasa has cool graphics in his layout. Problem is I can't see all, or stuff in wrong places.

Incidentally, just now, I saw a new installment of Bad Game Designer, No Twinkie is released.

And you could've just sent him a PM.

Maybe that would have indeed been a better idea. I dunno if he would read it though, since he does not know me.

But let's get back on topic. It's clear Koji Kondo and Nobuo Uematsu are the winners. Who could have ever expected that?

I never use the Virtual Console. Its only purposes are to make money from old games and keep free rom downloading illegal. The emulators on PC often have better graphics and sound, have more features (for example, I love the rewinder in Nestopia) and most important, are free. No space worries on our PC hard drives either.

The whole concept is still a lot better then XBox Live Arcade though, as on our Wii VC we can play the true Nintendo classics we love.

As for Nintendo 64 emulation on PC, my experience is that nearly every game runs fine on Project64.

I suggest Avira AntiVir. It uses very little resources, and has a fast and good scanner (finds many viruses before competing products do). Me and Kawa use it too.

Also, I remember AVG mistaking the NES emulator FCE Ultra for a virus

Probably your BIOS uses memory remapping. Check for an option in your BIOS SETUP, and disable it.

Memory remapping maps your memory address range of 2 GB - 4 GB to 4 GB - 6 GB. As a 32-bit operating system can only address up to 4 GB, this option is only useful for 64-bit operating systems. On a 32-bit OS it will just leave you 2 GB in total, no more.

The purpose of remapping is that when there is a memory hole between the 2 GB and 4 GB adresses, these addresses can be used to address hardware components, and you get the full amount of memory you installed on a 64-bit OS. Windows uses the 3,2 GB - 4 GB address range for this, that is why you can never use more than 3,2 GB on a 32-bit OS when remapping is disabled (still better than 2 GB though).

For more information, read the Microsoft Knowledge Base article.

What's to stop you from buying an NES (or SNES, or what have you) and the games?

With VC, you buy ROMS! Just like the free ones, but in a somewhat signed/encrypted version. I prefer just buying Wii games, which give me an original box/manual/DVD. It's not like downloading Super Mario Bros is going to give me a NES game with box/manual/cartridge.

Satoru Iwata is a marketing genius. But that also makes the Wii sell better than the PS3 and XB360

Edit: damn, I notice now he was not talking to me at all!
Maybe I should just quit posting, it's all too unclear and too complex for me to keep track of everything on a big board like this anyway. And I find it a bit scary to talk to unknown people. I quit using IRC years ago because of these same two reasons.
I was not of much value on this board anyway so nobody will miss me.
