I recall hearing about this hack on the old board somewhere around the beginning of June of last year. I couldn't play it though because of computer problems.

I agree with S.N.N. about the overworlds, some of them need some more detail.

Here's some worlds that could use more detail:

1. Mystery Island
2. Ocean & Hilly Vale. This is probably has the least detail out of all the submaps and overworld. There is way too much green there.
3. Valley of Bowser.

Other than that, everything else looks fine. I'll try to play the demo sometime today.

Anyone remember this one site that had pi to the millionth digit? I remember seeing it a long time ago and I forgot the URL.

390. Owing fines to the school.

...?

Book fines for the school library or owing money to the school cafeteria. It's either those two reasons if I owe money to the school. You have to pay for them unless you don't want to graduate.

393. When my cat rubs me and leaves a lot of fur on my shirt. It only takes a few minutes for my shirt to be covered in fur because the cat sheds a lot. What's worse is that it is white fur and it stands out with all the shirts I wear.

I was at first disappointed to hear it wasn't an RPG, but this looked neat.

That's pretty much how I felt when I first heard about Super Paper Mario. Then again, sidescrollers have been one of my favorite genres in video games.

I'm definitely going to buy this game when I finally get a Wii.

I've been thinking of getting this game. I always liked the Wario Land series, especially the fourth one.

Using the touchscreen to draw costumes sounds interesting from what I have read in a Nintendo Power article. It's nice to have all the disguises available to you anytime you want unlike in the previous Wario games where you had to rely on an enemy to transform into something. Those were also temporarily as well.

Don't be a spammer, an idiot, a jerk, annoying, or immature. There, I just wrote the entire FAQ. And I didn't even have to use a question.

You forgot the obvious "don't post r0mz" on your FAQ.

A link to the FAQ on the third incarnation archive should be added to the headlinks. That outdated FAQ can be a placeholder until a new FAQ is written.

I'm having my Spring Break right now and it's sadly about to end.

I didn't have anything planned for Spring Break except for hanging out here or rom hacking.

Wow, now finding mp3s are much easier. I've found a lot of good mp3 sites on the first try with this hack.

Thanks for the link.

Some of the levels in Yoshi Island DS are unforgivable. You'll see what I mean if you make it to World 5. The first level of that world featured a bunch of jumping Chomps coming from all directions and the worst part of it was that level was an auto-scroll level.

Also, don't even bother trying to get a perfect score on all the levels. It's too frustrating to do without items because you don't have those +20 star items to help you.

And you? Your least |favourite| level was...

It's a tie between 5-1, 5-5, and Secret 2. I'm going to go with 5-5 for these reasons:

1. It's a ripoff of 6-5 from the original Yoshi's Island which was called "The Very Loooooong Cave". I hated 6-5 a lot from the original one and I hate this one even more.
2. Auto-scrolling.
3. Those damn Chomps from 5-1 are in here too.
4. A lot of Skeleton Goonies drop a bunch of torpedoes on you. There's very little room to avoid them because most of the level either had lava or a bottomless pit.
5. The first wind section of the level was annoying. First, you didn't even know if it was there if you are playing this for the first time. I usually use Baby Mario a lot so I didn't know about the wind section when I first played it until it was too late.
6. There is less enemy generators in this level than in the original game. What makes this worse is that you needed the eggs in Yoshi Island DS. In Yoshi's Island, I had 6 eggs throughout most of the level because you rarely needed it.
7. It's much longer than 6-5.

I'm going to stop there.

Fun-fact: That's not even half of the level. There's more things I could add but 7 is enough.

I scored a 52 the first time. I do not have the patience to get a better score.

Man, I want to have senior ditch days but that won't happen until next year.

On my senior year, I probably will do it when standardized tests start because seniors at our school don't take it unless they didn't pass it as a junior where it really counts. Our English test is the only one that takes the entire day so there is no way I'm going to spend all day being stuck in the gym.

I've never ditched school either but I could if I wanted to because I drive to school. I would have done it if I knew Wal-Mart was selling the Wii at 8am which is when school starts. They sold out in 15 minutes. That was barely first period when they sold out.

At least your parents were cool about at. I don't want to know what my parents would do if I they knew I ditched school.

Excellent job on your new overworld! It's a big improvement over the old one.

I especially like the Ocean & Hilly Vale submap. To me, it's the most detailed part of the overworld as well as the biggest improvement.

I forgot about St. Patrick's day because I don't drink and my family doesn't celebrate it at all.

Also, Spring Break usually falls during the same week of St. Patrick's day for quite a long time for me. That's another reason I forgot because no one in school can remind me since I don't go to school that week.

Might as well ask this question again since it didn't get answered last time.

Posted by fabio on Archive 3
I'm stuck on the first Super Mario World Returns. I've already found the Blue Switch Palace but not the Red Switch Palace. I've already beaten these levels so far.

All 3 of the Flower Island levels
All 3 of the Goomba Plains level as well as Goomba Secret and Thwomp Castle. I found the secret exit in Goomba Plains 2.
All 5 of the Mine of Chuck levels.
Both of the Crystal Mountains levels.
All 4 of the Great Showers levels. I also found the Great Showers 2 secret exit and beat the Shower Secret level.
All 4 of the Sea of Soda levels, the Soda Fortress Zone, and the Water Castle.
The Secret Base Zone 1C which leads me to a pipe going to the Sea of Torpedos.
The Sea of Torpedos, Pirhana River, and the 3 Sunset Wilderness levels.
All 4 of the Cannon Valley levels.
Both of the Blizzard Gardens and the Blue Switch Palace.
The Secret Base Zone 1A and 2.

I've pretty much beaten all of the levels and found the secret exit to the 2 red dot levels. I just need to know what level I must beat again that will take me to the Red Switch Palace.

*bump*

Yeah, it took longer than I thought. Most of the time I worked on it was last week because of Spring Break. The rest of the time, I was too busy with school to make any progress.

Onward to the new screenshots.

1-5: Dinosaur's Best Friend (2nd section)

Since 1-5 was pretty short, I had no other choice but to use level expansion on another room.

Fun Fact: This section was originally a Lantern Ghost pipe room but I completely changed into a new level. Besides, why do I need a Lantern Ghost pipe room for anyway?

Poochy waits for you on that bottom section when you first reach the second section.

Probably one of the tricker parts of the level. There are some goodies in those poundable logs. Problem is that those Tap-Taps are in the way. If you attempt to ground pound when the log hasn't been pounded yet, you may touch one of the Tap-Taps and will get hurt. Also, Poochy loves jumping over those logs and if you happen to ground pound when Poochy jumps, you may end up getting hit by the Tap-Taps as well.

Much easier to get by if you have Poochy with you. It's possible to do it without him but it does take longer.

Generic bonus room.

You probably wondering why I added the wall and bouncing arrow? The problem is Poochy turns into some garbled graphics when you win the bonus on the goal ring. Thanks to S.N.N. for helping me out with that one.

That's not all, I have bonus screenshots of 1-6 too!

1-6: The Bat Cave

The level's name is a pretty obvious reference.

QUICK, TO THE BAT CAVE!!!!

Here's the bat cave. It's obviously incomplete for now.

These are the last screenshots I'll be posting in this thread. Once 1-6 is finished, I'll start posting them in the General Project Screenshot Thread just like before.
